Lucas stands on the pier, waiting. Victor arrives and is glad to see that his newest associate knows how to follow orders. Lucas asks that Victor tell him again why they’re here. Victor reminds him that Titan’s Halloween party is in a few hours and after his display last week, he wasn’t about to conduct business with Lucas at the mansion. He doesn’t want to involve Philip or Brady. The disrespect to his daughter’s memory will be repaid, Victor reminds Lucas, who nods. Victor remarks that things have been too quiet lately and he assumes that the DiMera family is beginning to find a way to strike again. Victor recalls Lucas working for Andre back around the time of the Salem Stalker madness, so who better to trust around this business. Lucas can appreciate that, but reminds Victor he’s a family man. Victor assures Lucas that protection for Will and Allie can be provided if he can do one thing in return. Lucas asks what and Victor replies in kind, asking him to return to Titan as the perfect cover for his place in waterfront operation. Lucas agrees and they shake hands to close the agreement. At the hospital, Amelia is accompanying Johnny and Sydney to their check-ups, entertaining them with the Halloween decorations all around. Nicole is with them, suspicious as she’s become of Amelia. After dropping them off to their respective appointments, Nicole tells her to wait as she has something to take care of. After Nicole has turned the corner, Amelia tails her, keeping a safe distance. Nicole arrives at Richard Baker’s hospital room. Amelia stays well hidden on the outside of the room to see what Nicole could have to say to the good doctor. Inside, Baker is awake and amused to see Nicole. Nicole is hardly charmed. She’s just checking her investment. Baker assures her that Stefano has been taking care of his expenses as promised. No one will ever need to know that Sydney is not her baby. Nicole shushes him, warning him that a loose tongue will cost him more than his daughter’s tuition costs and medical bills. Outside, Amelia hurries away, troubled by what she’s learned. Returning to the waiting area, Amelia gets to a phone and dials her father. When the other line clicks, she asks for Commander Roman Brady maintaining her accent. When he gets on the line, she begins, in accented ecstasy, regale him with this newfound information as the phone gets plucked from her by Stefano. He puts the phone to his ear, he tells Roman that it’s nice to hear his voice, but Amelia has to go. He hangs up and demands an explanation. Not knowing what Stefano overheard, Amelia assures Stefano that she knows there is bad blood between the Bradys and DiMeras, but reminds him that both Tony and Anna were good friends of Roman’s and she simply wants to connect with Tony’s life. Stefano sees no need for such secrecy and warns her not to meddle in the affairs of his family, walking away to go give blood. Chad arrives at the blood drive the hospital is putting up and is attended by Melanie. He charms her instantly with his easy smile and asks her what she’s doing after. Melanie says that it’s not appropriate to flirt with patients, even if she is only a candy striper. In that case, Chad wonders if there’s anything he can do for her. She insists all she wants is his arm. She notices scares on the arm he gives her from obvious heroine use. She asks him if he filled out the form. He nods. When she goes to retrieve it, he follows her. Grabbing her seductively, he asks her to do exactly what he asks and she’ll be rewarded. She looks at him with a wry smile and asks if he gets off on being a badass jerk like he apparently was to Mia. He tells her that all he wants is a little something to tide him over and she is access to all the drugs he could possible need. She tells him he’s disgusting in an unconvincing manner and he asks very sweetly what the worse that could happen would be, especially since she’s not going to become a nurse now. She gets angered and he simply smiles, typically commenting on her cute anger state. He pulls away, the key to the drug cabinet in his hand. She tries to go after him, but he slips away. Having given blood, Chloe runs into Kate. Not wanting to speak to her mother-in-law, she tries to slip away unseen, but gets dizzy. Kate tells Chloe to sit down and have a bite to eat. She wouldn’t want to put on another show. Chloe bitterly reminds Kate that she has nothing to hold over her anymore and just let her get on with her life. Kate wonders if she plans to move on with Philip and if Chloe thinks Philip is being totally honest with her. Philip arrives and immediately defends Chloe, telling Kate to leave her alone. Kate agrees to, but tells Philip to be careful if he ever wants to have any more children. Chloe shakes her head as Kate leaves and Philip assures Chloe that she shouldn’t let Kate get to her. Chloe asks him what Kate meant before. Philip fakes innocence, but Chloe wants to know if there’s something he hasn’t told her. Philip admits there is something. He didn’t want to upset her. She makes it plain that prolonging the truth is only making her more upset. He tells her that Lucas remembered the truth about her and Daniel at the housewarming when he saw her with Philip. Chloe asks how he knew. Philip doesn’t answer and it hits Chloe. She asks him if he knew what Lucas was planning. Philip vows he didn’t know what, but he did know his brother was out for blood. Chloe retorts that he certainly got it. Philip wants to know if they’re okay and Chloe berates him from being a meek little boy and not having the strength to fight his bully of a brother. Philip continues to try to explain himself, but Chloe doesn’t want to hear it. As he anger rises, she collapses in his arms. |

I'm glad you put Melanie in a scene with Chad. I wonder what their chemistry would be like IRL. Lucas back as a business man was needed. Hopefully Sami can find a real job after all this Amelia stuff is said and done. |

I honestly can't see Lucas getting into shady business now with two children in his life, but I'm willing to wait and see how this plays out. I'm glad you had Victor make mention at how the benefit was in Isabella's honor and the way Lucas behaved was totally disrespectful to the cause. I don't like how creepy Chad came off in those scenes with Melanie. I like Chad on the real show, not so much here. Phloe!
