Posts: 1,246 Group: DRtv Writer Member #8 Joined: March 23, 2008	That was fast! On October 29, Louise Sorel returned the popular role of the wicked Vivian Alamain. Five days later, it has been announced that the actress has been released sooner than expected. Ivan G'Vera is out as well as Ivan Marais. According to a source with the show, many storylines are being altered behind the scenes and one of them happened to be Vivian and Ivan's. Look for Sorel and G'Vera to continue airing through most of November with their storyline wrapping up right before Thanksgiving. The source adds that the two will exit in classic Vivian and Ivan fashion. Several other exits are expected. A few names being heard as possibly leaving include Molly Burnett (Melanie), Bryan Dattilo (Lucas), Josh Duhon (Jeremy) and Rachel Melvin (Chelsea)! Edited by DrewHamilton, Tue Nov 3, 2009 2:57 pm.

Also, I can understand and accept Chelsea, Jeremy and Lucas leaving, though I heavily love the first two, but Melanie had tons of potential storylines for her just waiting to be written. You can't miss such a great opportunity.

Vivian's exit is for the sake of future storylines. We have a lot coming up with a few characters from the past returning and Vivian was actually going to be invovled in a lot of the upcoming returns. However, I've re-evaluated future stories and I've come up with alternative ways to tell the story. Sadly, Vivian won't be involved. That doesn't mean she can't return at a later date. The way I have her exiting the show leaves room for her to return at any time, unlike before.

Posts: 42 Group: Members Member #407 Joined: May 16, 2009	I'm fine with Jeremy leaving, and maybe even Chelsea, but I worry you will write them off together happily ever after, ala Chex which was so laughable. I just don't see Chelsea and Jeremy in it for the long haul. It might have to do that I see Jeremy as an idiot but I can't pretend I'm not biased. Lucas leaving as well is fine by me.

Posts: 2,049 Group: Admin Member #10 Joined: March 23, 2008	Unlike Tripp I am a fan of Jeremy and Chelsea individually and as a couple, but I have to admit, I'm sick and tired of couples getting their happily ever afters. BORING! Especially when it comes to the younger couples.
