For The PEW! Posts: 4,479 Group: Admin Member #2 Joined: April 4, 2006	Detrimentum... reasons to commit! We expect members to want to stay for life. We understand if you don't end up staying for life as there may be a host of reasons that lead to your being unhappy and choosing to move on. However we are a guild based on friendship and trust. Friendship is not something that should be discarded lightly and we expect those that wish to join to be prepared to talk openly and honestly about problems. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Multi Guilding It is common for us to have ALTs to try out different classes.. even different factions... but Detrimentum expects that if you have a Horde ALT that is should be a member of the guild. This may seem obvious... especially as we have a designated rank for ALTs. If you are playing an ALT that is a member of another guild, you could miss out on important events and announcments. Refusing to have all your 'active' charicters in the guild shows lack of comitment and may result in removal from the guild. Extreme exceptions to this must be approved by a Guild Leader. Raiding with other Guilds (Or PUGS) Is is essential that you get permission from an Officer first. If raiding with another guild inteferes with our own raid progress you could be removed from the guild. In most situations there is not a problem with people joining non-guild raids for instances that we are not currently running, but you MUST get permission first. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Detrimentum... Not for you?! Detrimentum will not be the guild for everyone... We accept this. If you are unhappy, say wish to join a PvP or more hardcore Raiding guild, all we require is that you inform us. Maybe we can help you before having to /gquit and risk being guildless through turn downs from applications and such. By being honest and explaining your reasons for searching for a new guild, you WILL NOT BE REMOVED from Detrimentum nor will you for failing your new application. We WILL SUPPORT YOU through your application and give references if needed HOWEVER... if we happen to stumble upon an application posted by a current member.. and there is no knowledge of this within the guild prior to the application date... consequenses will be Guild Removal, unless of course there is an incredibly good reason for not being able to inform us of your decision. Applying for another Guild without first informing an Officer is looked upon as dishonest and disloyal. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Officers - Respect The officers of the guild are chosen by the existing leadership. They are carefully selected based on the following criteria: Their commitment to the guild Their willingness to help others Their knowledge of the game Their ability to lead Officers handle recruitment as well as any guild management related issues. You should have no concerns about approaching any of the officers in relation to any query or problem you have about your membership within Detrimentum. Officers have each worked hard to get where they are and as such should have your respect. This means: You are expected to listen to, and follow the instruction of the officers. Whilst raiding, you must show maturity and discipline and follow, without hesitation, the instructions given to you by the Raid leaders. Set an example to others, by supporting the officers in their activities. Respect that officers may not always be able to assist you immediately. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Reputation 1 - Detrimentum is an honourable guild, you are expected to uphold the guilds image and do nothing which could potentially bring the guild into disrepute. 2 - You will treat all players with dignity and respect - Without fail our most important rule. If at any time it is discovered that you have committed any action that is deemed to have breached this rule, you will be investigated and potentially disciplined, up to and including dismissal from Detrimentum. 3 - You will avoid any kind of language that others may find offensive. (To clarify, we are not saying you are not allowed to swear, however your conduct must be civil and any abuse directed at an individual will likely result in your being disciplined and potentially dismissed from Detrimentum) 4 - All members are expected to be courteous and polite to each other. This means the use of "Please" and "Thank you" are not optional. If any act of generosity is met with a "mememe" attitude, that person will be spoken to and will not be offered assistance of any kind until their attitude is deemed appropriate. 5 - You must adopt a helpful attitude toward others where possible. You are not expected to drop what you are doing but if another member needs help and you're not busy, please try to do so. You can also expect the same support from any of our members. 6 - Decisions made by the Leaders, or by the Officers are not subject to discussion. If you have a suggestion, or an objection to anything that happens in the guild, you should speak privately with an officer or the leader as appropriate. You will be treated fairly, and can expect an honest response to concerns that you have. 7 - Use of the guild chat channel that in any way could be considered detrimental to the good of the guild will be viewed as an offence. You will be warned and should you repeat it, you may be demoted back to Initiate status. Such violations might be: Openly challenging the leadership on guild chat Bringing an "attitude problem" on to the channel Anything offensive not deemed serious enough to warrant dismissal Above all, take your position with Detrimentum seriously, and commit to doing your part. We're not a hardcore guild that's interested in taking over your life. However, we're equally not a guild for any fool who thinks they can get better loot by abusing a guilds good nature. By respecting and adhearing to the above will ensure your game time with Detrimentum be fun, progressive and a pleasant experience! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ IN BRIEF! Respect Officers and Leaders... any problems... /w Do your bit... even if its not all that much Help when you can... and you will get the same in return Multi Guilding... no no! *Have fun... yes yes! ^^
