Character Name: Amberleaf Class and Level: Druid - Level 80 since a week or two ago List additional level 70+ characters (name/class/level): Chalna - Level 74 priest, not playing on her at the moment though. Various alliance scum as well, nothing I do more than being social on. Current Spec: Dual specced Tank(0/58/13) / Resto(14/0/57) though my primary build is resto. I love healing and have always been healing (except for a brief stunt with a mage). The tank build helps me grinding instances (LF1M TANK) as well as do dailies and such, but I try to heal as much as I get the opportunity to. Current Gear (Armory link): http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Draenor&n=Amberleaf I am most likely logged off in cat gear. My healing kit is sadly lacking due to not having been 80 for very long. I'm sitting at about 1500+ healing in tree, but working hard to improve that. There are a few crafted items I'm after (titanium spellshock ring and neck when I can afford), some quest rewards (the dagger from the tournament dailies is mine, all mine, on thursday) and a mouthful of instance drops (too many to number, but if you pick any epic healing leather, then I probably want it...) My tank kit consists of some crafted stuff and pvp rewards, sitting at 32K hp unbuffed, so it's fine for heroics and Naxx I guess. Have you applied elsewhere at the time of writing?: Nope, Detrimentum is my first choice. The reason for this is the good reputation the guild has. I'm looking for a guild where people not only log on to raid, but where there's a social side to it as well. Detrimentum has a reputation of being one of the nicer guilds here while still having a decent raid progression. It seems like just the kind of mix that I'm after. Willing to respec?: Sure, if there's a good reason for it. I'm always up for trying out varieties on builds due to patch changes or tips. I am applying as tree though and would have to consider my application if there's no opening for one in the close future. Previous Guilds: Uhm, last one was Phoenix Legion. It was back in the 70s though (the level, not the year). Why did you leave your previous guild?: I was (rightly so) kicked due to inactivity. I took an extended break from the horde side to play on alliance and have been for the last year. The guild I'm in is mostly a social guild though and outside of the guild the alliance seems to be mostly filled with kids and morons. A month or two ago I decided to dust off this old toon and take a look at the grass on the other side and I like it! I don't know if it's just me being (un)lucky, but I find horde side to consist of generally more mature players. I've thoroughly enjoyed levelling up here and PUG'ing (shudder) my way so far. But I kinda miss the green text... (no, changing the color of /2 to green doesn't cut it). If accepted, would you be interested in raids?: Yes, definately! I love raiding, the bigger the better! I've been raiding since MC and I still have fond memories of that place, though I think the more unpleasant ones tend to fade with time... Being a mage at that time I recall using Decursive extensively... If your previous answer was Yes, please fill the next questions, if No, skip to the Typical weekly playtime part. Are you available to raid Thursday, Sunday and Monday between at least 20:00 - 00:00 servertime (these are our scheduled raid times, however we do schedule raids most nights using the ingame calendar)?: Suits me fine. Due to social/work life I might not be able to attend all raids, but those days and times will work for me most weeks. Explain how your class/spec works in a raid situation: Even though the resto druid can pump out some nice healing numbers I see my role first and foremost as an "equalizer". Taking away spike damage and making sure the tank or other raid members get enough heals before the next big hit or during silences. I love HOT's, but have started adapting my playstyle to include Nourish more since the glyph was introduced, specially when put on tank healing. Overall though I prefer raid healing. Looove Rejuvenation and Wild Growth, specially when you know damage will come and can pre-hot a large part of the raid. I've almost stopped using Lifebloom after the unfortunate nerfs to it. I still use it on tank healing occasionally and sometimes when there's predicive damage (for example, put a LB on someone getting injected at Grobbulus and it will bloom just after the explosion). How long have you played wow and how long have you played your character? I've been playing wow for 4 years now. I started off as a mage, then got stuck playing a druid. I've had this toon for the last 3 years I think and I also have a druid on alliance side. Yes, I'm that sad... What buffs/potions/elixirs would you use in a raid situation, to further enhance your performance and why?: Sushi! Unfortunately I suck at cooking (though not in real life). I usually bring food buffs though (spellpower/stamina) as well as flasks (Frostwyrm) and elixirs for those one-more-try-even-though-the-flasks-just-went-out (spellpower/int). Being an alchemist I also get more bang for the buck when using those^^ Other than that I'm a happy tree when I get Kings/Int/Spi from my fellow raiders. Oh, and gief totemz!!! Why should you get a raid spot?: I always come prepared and have read up in advance in case it's a new boss, but then I guess most do... I'm always doing my very best and rarely (if ever) do the same mistake twice. If I commit to a raid I stick it out through as many wipes as it takes. I'm not raiding to wipe, but as long as a lesson is learned and progress is made, it's rarely vasted time. I also think I'm good at looking at the raid as a whole. If there's a healer struggling then I might help out throwing out a few hots on his target, if there's an undergeared tank, then I try to help out there. Being a druid with both battle res and Innervate (though I usually steal that for myself), having an "eagle eye" over the battle field really helps. Typical weekly playtime; We like our members to be actively involved in guild activities as much as possible: I'm usually on 3-5 evening per week, depending on whatever else is going on in my life. I often poke online just to chat (well, right now all I can do is chat in /2 and that isn't very appealing). Age (Being over 18 years of age is a plus): 36... Location: Sweden, Malmö (southern part of Sweden) Reference (Having at least 1 reference from a current full guild member is a bonus): None... I guess there's some kind of trial period where we can get to know each other and see if things work out. Do you have a stable internet connection?: Very stable (100/100) Extra information about yourself: As i've mentioned in bits and pieces, I've played for a while now. I started off as a mage in vanilla, but moved over to druids when TBC hit. I levelled up a druid for Wrath on alliance side and have been doing Naxx and the first few Ulduar bosses on him, but as I explained earlier, I'm having more fun on horde side. At least if I can find a decent guild (in before "then why do you apply to this one"). I follow the game both in-game and on forums (elitistjerks, MMO-Champion, various blogs), but have never been interested in hard core raiding. I raid seriusly when I do, but I'm mostly after the social part of this game. When I'm not gaming I work so that I can feed my hungry cats here at home and buy expensive jewellry for my girl friend (at least in her dreams). She also plays wow, but wouldn't dream of leaving alliance side ("they are so ugly"). Have you read and understood the guild rules and policies?: I have. They seem to be a lot about respect. I can agree with that! This application got kinda lengthy and I still feel that I left stuff out... Don't dare write more in fear of killing you all with my wall of text... Lemme know if there's anything else you need. Until the, take care! |

Hey mate and thanks for the app! And don't you worry about lenghty applications. The longer the better (that's what she said). You will have your answer as sson as possible, usually within 48h but due to summer holidays and stuff it might be a bit longer. Good luck anyways! -Iza (Pinde) |
