I'm sorry?

When I marked my APM as 3/4, I meant that I'd used 3 out of 4 attacks. Should I be using some other format?

My bad, I always count how many I have left, down from the max. So long as D understands us both then it's fine I'm sure. i was just confused.

My bad!

We should get an official ruling on this. Keeping it consistent would make things easier down the line.

Well my reasoning is:

In all video games I have ever played, they always show your health / magic gauges at full, then count them down to zero. Why wouldn't APM be the same? Do you start your HP/SDC at 0 and count it up as well?

Agreed. It should show how many actions you have left. I'll get up a post real soon. Totally bogged down with RL at the moment.

Cool, we destroyed that thing!

Since our characters are in a hurry now (and for good reason), I move that you tell us what we can find here (give us an inventory) and assume we load it in the car, unless we are interrupted before that happens. OK either way, but I really don't want to type out "Garek checks under the bed, under the mattress, in the drawers..." etc... We're ransacking the place and splitting unless anyone (GM included) has any objections.

No objections here; i too feel it's most appropriate to grab and dash.

I don't think we need to hurry, but you're right that we don't need to trawl through every step of the search. That would just be tedious.

It couldn't take more than fifteen, maybe thirty minutes for three adults to check the most obvious parts of a house, even assuming we stick together (this is a good assumption). The only thing that's likely to close in in that time is a runner or hunter zombie (and Peter doesn't know they exist yet).

Or other scavengers, though they may be more frightened by gunshots.

Are there any skills that would be useful for finding things, or should I just roll perception if I'm going to help?
We're all ransacking the house as a group, right? I'm not sure if I should comment on other characters' finds or not.

Sticking together seems wisest, besides, there are multiple facets to any room. one person check this drawer, another person check that closet, etc... Safer and just as fast to stick together.
PS. No ammo for the shotgun anywhere? What's up with that? He only had enough to blow his brains out?

I don't think we necessarily need to go room-by-room together, but it would be a good idea to at least keep each other in line of sight the whole time.

(OOC: With the plan I came up with I'm wishing I had taken a boating skill, can I swap out an unused secondary skill for pilot small watercraft?)

That's called metagaming. If you can do that, i want to bring the pistol, rifle, phone, laptop, and other supplies that were in the jeep i never had a chance to go back to. Just saying.

They would have all been lost in the chopper crash anyway :P

But i never used them, so i can request that they become cyborg implants (by your above logic). :P

If you did, you would have sunk to the bottom of the gulf too. Maybe you would find something interesting on board that sunken pre-rifts BP oil drilling platform? some top secret experiment that actually sunk the place? That is, if your body could take the pressure and you didn't run out of air first.

Nah, I think swapping an unused skill is very different from swapping lost equipment. You can't lose a skill. My character has plenty of lost equipment, what's lost is lost, but something you still have that has never been used doesn't make an impact on the past of the game.

It's not lost on me tho. :P

Unfortunately, Beo, you'll have to explore taking boating skills when you're up for additional secondary skills.

Good to have you back, dhorn. :)

Well, this is a possibility we missed. If we have Jericho pilot the boat, then all three of us can participate on the "assault" (I'd much prefer an in-and-out raid, myself) on the yacht club.

Still no comment on if we found any shotgun ammo?
The man blew a hole in his head, there has to be ammo somewhere.

I'm with Snickers; let's leave the NPC with the boat, hope he doesn't ditch us, and go all-out on the place.

Sounds primo to me. What would he gain by ditching us? We have the supplies and the weapons. I think it's a solid plan.

The supplies are back at the cars--but he can only drive one by himself anyway.

Knowing what I know about Jeri, I can safely say that he will not be ditching you. He's part of the team... at least for the moment.

Final word on shotgun shells... none to be found. Sorry Beo.

I have been wondering about that for so long! Oh well, I guess it must have been the last shell (or two if it was double barreled).
