Gantu smiles back and is about to don his own armor, when he looked around and realized that they were still in the construction site. "Perhaps we should fly outside the city first?" After flying to a random clear spot outside the city, Gantu sets her down and takes a few steps back. He dons his armor,(which may or may not have a picture coming), and takes his martial stance. "Let us begin." Edited by Arthotus, Jun 27 2011, 12:54 PM.

1d20+1=11 Jasmine raises her sword swiftly, arcing it gracefully towards Gantu's midsection. Her blow was sure and true, but desgined to do no real damage. Strike: 1d20=3+8+10=21 Damage: 4d6=14 "Do we fight like there will be no tomorrow? I will be sure not to kill you..." |

(....plus 18 to strike....Very nice!)![]() (Drawing is done! Wooot!) Gantu attempts to parry the blow by stepping in and catching Jasmines forearm with his own. Parry (1d20+12=30) "I would hope that you are at least mildly serious." Gantu then attempts to punch Jasmine in the chest. Strike and Damage (1d20+8,1d6=[15, 8], [3])=23, 30sdc Also trying to pull his punch to about half damage. Pull Punch (1d20+6=26) Major Success! Strike = 23 Damage = 15 SD |

Dodge: 1d20+7=23 Jasmine narrowly misses being hit with Gantu's fist. She sees it brush her armor as she jumps back. Bringing her sword around she leaps forward again and tries to land a blow from the side. Strike: 1d20+10+8=31 Damage: 4d6=8 (OOC: I am a bit confused from the rules being different in Beo's game. Does my damage bonus count when I use my sword or is that only for hand to hand? I don't remember if melee weapons get the bonus. If it does then it's 8+16.) |

(I would include your punch damage in the damage. I always do. How many attacks you have so we can make sure it's just your turn my turn, or should we just do that anyway? You almost certainly have more attacks than I) Gantu tries to backstep the slice. Dodge (1d20+12=17) Taking the cut(492/500Sdc) Gantu glanced at the sword. Let's be away with that, he thought. Stepping in, Gantu attempted to strike at Jasmines wrist to disarm her. Disarm (1d20=18) |

==Dukat== Sure is quiet around here now that everyone's gone... Kira was fun... I wonder how the others are? Dukat, having sampled as much of the local cuisine as he could find, decides to turn to the study of magic. He contacts the Knights of Solomon about procuring resources to do so. "I am about to help you defend a planet from a bunch of demons, I might do a better job if I know a few more spells, do you have something I can study or someone who can teach me?" |

As Dukat is contacting the Knights, a portal appears in the Pyramid and a medium height man steps out. None of the alarms go off, but the three Stone Masters are visibly alarmed. The man looks around a moment. "I have been here before it seems, it feels familiar". He then seems to take note of Dukat. "A young dragon-mage. Interesting, never seen one of those here before". He switches from English to flawless Dragonese. "Say, tell me young one if you would, where am I"? |

==Dukat== Dukat takes a defensive pose, keeping his eyes on the intruder. He didn't look aggressive, but the worst enemies often posed as allies. "If I'm not mistaken it is considered a common courtesy to introduce yourself before demanding information, particularly when you have invaded another's space. Please explain your presence here. I have no wish to fight you, but I will defend this place." Aren't these places supposed to control they ley liens and nexus points they are built on? How do people keep jumping in here? the Stone Masters will have to see to that, we can't afford gaps in security, this place is too important. |

The man steps back and holds out his hands in a gesture of peace. "My apologies. I am Andrew Savage. Ley Line Walker, Shifter, and Techno-Wizard. As for your fears of a security breech, have no fear, I can do things that even Thoth couldn't do. I do ask my question again however, where am I"? |

==Dukat== Dukat thinks for a moment, "everyone seems to be excited that I and my friends are here. Some people found a really old book and gave it to a stupid evil man. They say that when he uses it it will open up a door to another dimension and a demonic war will spill over in to our world. So, basically not to much is mundane. We are trying to get as ready for it as we can before it happens. Oh, and I found this really exciting new food. It's called a panzarotti, it's like a pizza, which is already the most versatile food ever, except it is folded in half, so it is kind of like a pod. It's a pizza pod. I love it." |

Andrew nods. "You should try the calzone then. It is very similar to your panzarotti, and it can be topped with just about anything your heart could desire. Fillings and toppings, can't go wrong there. So, the Minion War is about to spill over here is it? Glad I got here than. How can I help"? |

==Dukat== Again Dukat thinks for a moment. "Well, for starters, you can take me to get a calzone. If the demons destroy the planet I don't want to miss out on trying one, so that should be top priority. I was just thinking that I wouldn't mind learning some spells to help get ready for the upcoming battle. Could you teach me a spell that makes calzones? Maybe if we use that we can talk things over with the demons while we all share calzones." Dukat thinks for a moment, "no, wait, they don't eat much, they are demons. They probably only eat people or something like that. I told my friends that I wouldn't eat any people while I am here, and I don't think that glowing astral thing that talked to me earlier would like it very much if I did earlier. It would probably be best if we order out for calzones to save time, and unless you can build pyramids you could teach me some magic that would be useful against the demons. You seem to know about them, so is there anything you would recommend?" Dukat turns to see the three dumbstruck stone mages, "don't worry guys, you can get back to work, I've got a handle on this. I have a good feeling about him, he likes panzarotties too." |

Gregory mumbles something about getting back to work at the next location and the three of them file out of the Pyramid. Andrew smiles and leads the way out of the pyramid after them. "St. Louis, I know a fantastic Italian restaurant just down the street, however they have this thing called a dress code. Jacket and tie sort of place. If you don't mind, I will place an illusion over you and we can go there and get a calzone and we can talk about the exchange of services for my teaching you magic". Once the illusion is in place, Dukat feels a slight tingling over his whole body and when Andrew holds up a mirror Dukat sees his natural features transformed into the features of a human. As they walk down the street Dukat notices that people aren't recoiling in terror. The restaurant is an expensive place. Andrew had seemingly as the two of you walked changed into a three piece suit. Once inside the Maitre d' looks up and exclaims and instantly gets the two of you a table in a private room. A waiter comes in and offers a selection of wines, then another comes in and tells you the days specials. Andrew handles these men with ease and before long a steaming calzone is placed before each of you with the toppings and fillings ordered. "Food, is only as good as the drink that it is served with. A fine wine makes or breaks the dish in some cultures, and in Italy, the wrong wine can make the best meal something fit for only dogs". |

==Dukat== Dukat looks around, amazed, "I have never had such an experience," he slowly takes it in, "quite amazing what these little mortals can create in their short lifetimes. It appears that if this world is threatened then I must save it, for the sake of Italy and their meals if for nothing else." Dukat takes a bite and roars with delight, the light fixtures shake at the sound of his voice, "fantastic! You certainly live up to your word about food!" He watches Andrew in order to imitate how Andrew enjoys the meal, perhaps if eaten properly, their food is somehow better. I never knew proper drinks were so important... He imitates the bite sizes and even the use of something he had never seen used before, table weapons! Table weapons! Ingenius! Small little daggers, tridents, and shovels that you use to kill and eat your food! These humans were something else. Dukat would have to find some good quality portable table weapons to take with him wherever he goes. This discovery far outweighed his disappointment at the size of the puny chalice that the drink came in. This wine... And such a drink it was! It tasted like... Rotten fruit! Genius again! These humans even know how to use food once it goes rotten! Once the meal is over Dukat eats his napkin, he had spilled some food on it and didn't want it to go to waste (another genius invention to prevent the waste of food). "It seems I am in your debt, I had never knew that eating could be an experience with anything beyond your food. Unfortunately, i have no idea how to repay you for this experience. You said that you could teach me magic in exchange for something, what were you thinking might make for a good trade? Unfortunately it seems I am already in your debt, so I would appreciate it if both the magical knowledge and this meal could be combined in the price, kind of like a calzone, only a deal." |

Andrew watches Dukat eat as he eats his own dish with amusement. When the meal is finished Andrew sends the waiter away and sits back. "I have been to a thousand different Earths, a dozen different Centers, and visited with a hundred Gods. I have lived for over three thousand normal years, and will live until someone kills me, or I choose to fade into the Stream. What I would ask of you is as simple as it is nearly impossible. I would ask that you do not follow in the footsteps of your brethren. Do not be the 'demon' dragon-mage. Instead, be a demon to those who would sully and spoil the beauty of planets like this one. There are whole dimensions where food and drink are wonders to beheld, and this Minion War will spill into those just as easily as this one. I will teach you, I can teach you in weeks, or even days what would normally take months, years, or even centuries to learn otherwise. If you give me your word, your bond if you will, that you will strive towards good, towards honest justice, I will teach you. But should you renege on this deal, I will remove every spell from you, strip you of all power and place you in a stasis that will make the one placed on the Old Ones seem like a time out. I can be generous, and I can be justice. I have seen the damage some of your people have done, and I will not have the spells I know and will teach you be put to use in that manner".

==Dukat== Dukat smiles and agrees, "that is easy! I have already made that deal with someone else, look!" He quickly points out the necklace of stones embedded around his neck. "There is an astral being of light. Have you ever met him? He looks tasty but I don't think he wants me to eat him. He gave me these and made the same deal with me. I was kind of scared of what that meant, but I thought about it. I still want to kill a dragon some day, but I figure not all dragons are good, and some are as bad as demons, so I don't even have to break the rules. I can become an adult while I help clean up the universe. I just have to be careful not to eat the wrong creatures, and help the right ones. It sounds fun! Plus, if I travel around helping people and doing good stuff, I can try all kinds of new things to eat!" |

Andrew smiles, Dukat can't tell if the smile is because he is happy that Dukat accepted, or that he does in fact know the Being, or if there is something else he is thinking about. But suddenly the noises of the restaurant vanish and the room dims. "A temporal distortion. We can travel the city, use the energy of the Nexus, but not be disturbed until we leave it. For every day that passes out there, a week will have passed here. Tell me what you know already, and what you wish to know",

==Dukat== Again Dukat thinks, "well, I know I am a dragon mage, I know I like to eat, and I know I want to save Italy, peanut butter, and the world." Dukat makes a mental note to make that his new war cry. "What I want to know is how. So I guess I need to know how to stop the demons, how to make them fear me, how to not only kill them, but obliterate them, and how to do it to them in large numbers without accidentally obliterating bystanders as well. If I can't do that on Earth, then I need to know how to do that in their home dimension. I am pretty sure that getting there won't be a problem, I already know how to travel and we have a pyramid on a super nexus, the problem will be surviving there and obliterating them." Dukat thinks for another few moments. "I need to know who and where their leaders are, what their weaknesses are, where their weaknesses can be obtained, and how to get past their defenses to their leaders. Can they be summoned and trapped? Can they be permanently weakened? Yes, I think I really really really need to know how to kill a demon lord. "And how to make a calzone, just in case Italy doesn't survive." |
