You find yourself on board a Bristol Blenheim, a light RAF bomber. The pilot, Lt Riforld, kept his hands firmly on the stick and his eyes fixed on the landscape in front of him. Riforld was a minor scion of Britannia, so in a way he is a distant cousin. Your orders had come from the top. From something called Omega Company. SEa, Air, and Land was new and officially did not exist, but Omega Company was even more secretive. The elite of the divine were recruited for missions so top-secret most heads of state never knew they were carried out. These were one of those missions. Riforld was to fly you into Paris airspace and let you 'fly' the rest of the way. To achieve this you were issued a parachute pack that was designed by your uncle Hermes, a one-time use only parachute pack. The plane itself was also a wonder. The Blenheim was 'cloaked', Riforld had the ability to master shadows and could cover his plane with darkness to hide it from the Luftwaffe. "Coming up on the drop point. I can't take you any closer to Monmartre, strange things have been happening in the area and the airspace is dangerous." You can skip right to the jump off if you want. For the jump: DEX + Ath. Also give me a Join Battle roll for future reference. |

Henry was used to planes. Part of the training he had instituted for the SEAL's was parachuting. The droning of the engines was a small comfort and allowed him to get a little sleep before he was to jump into combat.
Henry nods and slaps Riforld on the shoulder. "FLY SAFE"! He yells over the engines. Henry steps to the door, counts to three and jumps. 5 successes Join Battle: 6 successes |

The wind flaps through you hair and your gear. Your clothes are standard military issue except they are black and have no markings whatsoever. When you do pull the rip cord on your chute....your not exactly prepared. The man who gave it to you was a son of Hermes and apparently inherited his father's sense of humor. Two feathered wings deployed from the pack and stops your fast descent to a simple glide. Below you Paris looks dark an looming, some streets are lit up with spot lights and the occasional German patrol going by on a truck or other vehicle. Straight ahead of is a large domed building, like a church with a bowl on top of it. For the few files you were given on your mission you can instantly recognize Sacre Coeur, the church in which the Paris resistance operates out of. It's about thirty minutes from your current position. |

Henry tries to maneuver his glide closer to the area where the church is, while may be damn quiet, travelling too far inside a city filled with soldiers will eventually lead to disaster. Better to make his journey on foot as short as possible. Once he lands, he stows his gear properly and checks it over briefly. He pulls out the knife that he had decided was best for the SEAL's (a modified KBar from the Marines, the blade blackened with gun grease) and proceeds towards his destination with all stealth. |

Rewind a bit here... As you glide towards your target the pilot's words about the skies being unsafe echoes in your ears. Perception + Awareness roll. |

Insane roll! Out of the sky flies a....wolf?! Its not titanic sized, like the fabled Fenrir, but large none the less. It howls once and zooms towards you. You have the first move. |

"Well, there goes a covert insertion". This seems like something they would miss if he killed it, and if he didn't kill it then it would be able to track him down. And that was something he couldn't have. Henry reaches behind him and pulls out his knife, the Parang the Celestial Court gave him. Then dove for the ground, this was a battle that he needed some advantage in, and in the air, he had none. |

You landed in the hillside garden that leads up the the church, various fountains and shrubbery decorate the walkway up to the church. As you land the wings on your parachute fall out and flutter and drift with the wind. The wolf hits you hard with its head lowered seconds after you land throwing you back over the lip of the fountain behind you. Two bashing inflicted. |

Henry rolls backward and comes to his feet, crouched low with his Parang held low and at the ready. Henry concentrates and stops the pain of the crash. (2 Legend, Healing. Legend 4/6). This wolf was certainly new, give a Fenrir wings and it will fly.. he always wanted a necklace of Fenrir fangs. Henry then actives his Untouchable Opponent ability (Legend 3/6) and prepares to respond to the next attack. |

Like two warriors, Henry circles with the Wolf. This wasn't going to be easy, but then again what had since Artemis had revealed to him his heritage? No, he wasn't going to be drawn out to attack first. He patiently waited. |

The wolf lunged teeth bared. It missed you by a long shot and ended up snapping on the air about two feet to your left. Your move. |

Henry didn't bother to raise his eyebrows at the fumbling of the wolf, there was a reason he wanted to be on the ground. He darts in his Parang singing quietly in the dark. Strike: 6 successes Damage: 6 successes |

I have to stop lowering my creature stats.... One shot, one kill. The wolf falls silently on the ground, whimpers once and lays still. |

Henry quickly removes the teeth from the beast and secrets it away where it won't be found soon. He packs his things and sets out for the church and the resistance. Edited by Lunarmage, May 20 2011, 04:08 PM.

The rest of gardens leading up to the church is deserted. The huge doors leading into the church are closed, but the smaller door for the locals is open. The church itself is dark except for a few candles lighting up the main altar. A nun opens a doors to the left and makes her way towards the door leading behind the altar. She sees you and stops mid stride her eyes wide and nervous. Edited by Erotvalas, May 21 2011, 07:56 AM.

Henry bows to the nun. "Greetings sister. I offer a humble apology for intruding upon the grounds of God. However life takes me to many places and this is one of them. I am looking for some people that I was told could be found here. One of them I am told is a wall of a man, and black as night". (Spoken in French) Edited by Lunarmage, May 21 2011, 02:41 PM.

The nun tilts her head at your request. "Tell me, stranger, where are you from?" she asks the question in English with a thick french accent. She advances towards you cautiously with her hands playing with her rosary. |

Henry holds his hands out to the sides. "Originally I am from Wyoming, United States. Lt. Henry Sanderson, U.S. Navy. If you are asking about my more recent heritage, I am afraid that is more dubious and I am remiss to let it out. I prefer the title of Bounty Hunter and Mercenary in that regard". |

The sister cocks her head as you speak, like she's listening to something you can't here. "Bounty hunter? But you carry the title of Lieutenant? Strange indeed." she pockets her rosary "I know of the man you speak. Follow me." The Resistance thread is now closed. She lead down into the crypt where Randal and Frank are. |

Henry follows the nun into the Crypt. Randal: Footsteps, two pair of them. Olives in hot hair and a murmuring crowd, a Roman. Randal stands up quickly, his hammer in hand as Sister Chanta leads the enemy into their midst. Randal rushes up to capture the Roman before he can get away. Henry steps to the side, the large man was quicker then he looks, but not quite quick enough. "Stand easy sergeant. Your father send his congratulations on your time here and sends me as your backup. And before you start spouting off about my heritage, know that there are those on the Mountain who don't think that everything is as it should be, and support the Allies". Randal is caught off guard by how quick the man moved, graceful and with purpose. Randal caught sight of the oddly curved knife in the man's belt, one he never even reached for. "You say you spoke to my father"? Henry shakes his head. "No, but Uncle Sam relayed the message to me for you". Randal nods, not quite believing the man, but for now he had the credentials to get by. Randal motions to him to follow him to another part of the catacombs. "This is how things stand so far.." Randal fills him in on the last few weeks of his time in France. |

The sister jumps back from the confrontation. "He speaks truth!" she pulls out her rosary "Lies are the enemy of my mother, she gave me this to detect lies." Continue with your conversation, you are kinda of in charge of the story now that Richard's unconscious. Take some initiative and feel free to plan some things. This is the 'free roam' part. If you decide to wait for Richard's recovery jsut tell me. Thing you know: - Your short on men, ammo, and basic food stuff. There are supposed to be resistance contacts throughout the city, you can use any of them. |

Randal and Henry spend the next day discussing details and supplies. Basic provisions were needed if they were going to effect a reasonable resistance. They couldn't support the people empty handed. The main problem was how much attention they wanted to draw to themselves. Too much attention and the people would suffer. Not enough and they wouldn't be effective. Henry makes out a list of foods they will need in order to continue their campaign. Being a land locked city meant that there weren't docks to raid, but there is a warehouse district they could plunder. Henry spends a couple evenings watching the guards at in the warehouse area getting a feel for guard rotation, who is in charge and when the guards are most lax in their duties. Meanwhile Randal is still trying to figure out Frank and why he is unaware of his power. |

Have Henry do an Awareness + Perception roll. And a Dex + Stealth. Randal watches over Frank, but aside from that display in the crypt he shows no 'extra' capacities. Five days after the warehouse incident Chanta tells you Richard has finally woke up. He wants to see you both. |
