==Kira== Kira concentrates, a contest of endurance, is it? Kira plunges in to the warlock and begins draining him at his maximum strength (40 PPE/melee action, 5 mele actions/melee = 200 PPE every 15 seconds). Your energy tastes like fish... He drains the warlock's PPE in one go, absorbing it at a record speed due to increased surface area. Kira will float at maximum speed to get away from the water (13 yards/second). I'm not sure if this will cause any water to trail behind him. He will also pull his shirt over his head to try and entrap/separate some of the water (like a towel or washcloth can hold water in it for a few moments before the water runs through the fabric). Finally, he will repetitively use teleport object (10 isp/use, 2 lbs of matter up to 100 feet away/shot. Kira has 46 ISP left so he can do this 4x for 8 lbs of water) to try and keep the area around his mouth clear of water (get a breath) and disrupt, disorient, confuse, or even damage the warlock. If nothing else works he will run full speed in to a wall to hope the impact causes the warlock to splash off. He would then distance himself from the water. Edited by Beowulf, Aug 16 2011, 09:16 AM.

As Kira pulls off his shirt to act like a bucket, the water sloughs off like a paste. It doesn't take much teleportation in order to breath again. Unlike normal water, it doesn't so much drip out of the shirt, as it does ooze out. Kira knows that the spell can't last too much longer and that once he regains his normal form, he 'should' be out of prepared spells. As Kira gets to the door to the room, the shirt suddenly tears and the warlock is dropped onto the floor and is shaking his head trying to clear it before he is set upon again. |

==Kira== OOC: Is the warlock bleeding out of his throat wound? Kira charges at him full speed, dagger out. If it takes an action or two to reach him (GM's call, apparently Kira is at the door of the room and I'm not sure where he dropped the shirt) then Kira will continue to drain PPE in case the warlock has a source to draw from or more prepared spells (which Kira will try to interrupt). Provided nothing unforeseen happens, Kira will continue to the next course of action. If he is able to close and attack in one action then Kira drives the dagger in to the man as hard as he can. (IC is not loading, here's a roll from another die roller but it doesn't provide a link) Strike Roll: (1d20)+9 = 11,+9 Total:20 Damage Roll: (1d6)+12 = 2,+12 Total:14 (any bonus from the speed and weight behind charging directly at the warlock?) (1 action spent attacking, 0 to X actions spent charging towards the warlock) 5-(1+X)/5 actions remaining. Provided Kira hits the man Kira will continue charging, carrying the man on his dagger, until he rams him into a wall (GM's call for damage on a 1d6 dagger, ramming a man in to a wall at 13 yards/second, Kira's PS. bonus is +12 and he weighs 170 lbs). Finally, while he has the man on the tip of his dagger (before or after ramming in to the wall, depending how many actions it takes to get to a wall) Kira will repetitively fire ice blasts directly in to the wound from the dagger (4d6 damage each). ==Kira== As the man is dying Kira looks him in the face and demands, "how can I get your magical artifacts and treasures?" Using Bleed memory on the dying man. (-2 to save, if someone on the verge of death gets a save. I would argue that his stats have been reduced by the beating so if he gets a save there is probably a penalty). If there is any PPE burst from the man dying, Kira will absorb it and relish the flavor of deathbed PPE. Kira will decapitate the man, tie his head to his belt and drop his body on his sacrificial alter, then, like any good RPG character, Kira will loot the corpse and the room. |

1: The man gives up everything to the Bleed Memory power. He has billions in gems, jewels and mundane artifacts hidden behind walls of ice. 2: Kira had already drained him of all PPE, so there is no final surge. 3: The warlock has a Talisman (drained of PPE), an Amulet (protection from Undead), and a ring. |

==Kira== Kira scans the area for other threats or living/undead things (vampires, elementals, etc...). If Kira's mysterious helper or his minions are about he'll approach them and ask, "good enough?" If not, he'll make for the jewels. |

The area is clear, and finding the treasure trove is easy enough to find considering the fact that Kira had stolen the memories from the warlock. The 'helpers' are back to normal, and doing their best to avoid looking at the massive amounts of moving water only a couple dozen feet from their posts. |

==Kira== Kira looks at the water and air in the room. "I assume you are out there, though I'm not sure where. if you can understand me, I killed the warlock that was holding you captive and I have no interest in fighting with you. As far as I am concerned our mutual enemy is dead, and I couldn't pose a threat to you if I wanted to. I could, however, use your assistance if you were so inclined, but I won't hold my breath." With that, Kira turns back to looting, paying close attention to any potentially useful or powerful weapons or magical items (senses still active so he should be able to locate magical items easily). |

As previously stated, all the artifacts in the vault are mundane. Weapons, equipment of the Three Galaxies, every style of body armor force fields, gravitonic weapons, a Phalanx Main Battle Tank, a CAF Assault Shuttle, and some kind of box with a radioactive symbol on it. The ring does radiate magic however. |

==Kira== Kira eyes the ring again, it would be odd for him to be wearing it if it were cursed in some way... Lore Magic (79%): 1d100=70 = Pass Gemology (79%): 1d100=81 = Fail He loads the most valuable or powerful items in to the biggest tank/APC he can find. He returns to the "helpers", "if your master would like to have a word with me, tell him I will be be leaving shortly." If there is no reason to stay Kira will load up the warlock's body as evidence of his victory and attempt to take the APC out of wherever he is (Kira has no idea where exactly he is at this point). |

Kira, the ring is not something you recognize from any lore, or myth you can recall, and you can recall quite a few. Returning to the area where the guards were, Kira finds them gone. A disembodied voice tell Kira that they will meet soon enough. It takes Kira about an hour to navigate the maze of corridors, hallways, and tunnels to find his way out, but he does eventually. The Colonel is appreciative of the gesture and quietly hands over a small vial of liquid as payment promised. |

==Kira== Kira eyes the substance and quietly secures it on his person, "you also said something about providing me with 'enough money to keep me in business for some time'? We never negotiated what that meant, but I understood it to be something more than this mysterious substance and whatever plunder I have secured." (see post 29) Provided he receives the reward, Kira will depart without words to let the general do as he wishes. His final order of business before departing through the portal will be to load up his vehicle with as much fresh water as possible and enough provisions to see him back to the city in the wastes. |

The large Wolfen hands Kira a credit chip with three quarters a million credits on it, and allows his to take as much water and basic supplies as he can carry in his shuttle. The trip back is bumpier than the one to the planet. The front window cracks, the bulkhead buckles, and the cargo door pops a seal. When Kira finally lands he finds half the water he had brought with him had escaped through the popped seal, and some of the dirt was more mud than dirt. But all things considered, it was a profitable trip. |

Kira secures his remaining provisions as best he can and continues to the city (if that's not where he landed by the end of the last post). If possible the seal should be closed again, even if it has to be stuffed with oily rags (possibly wrapped in cellophane or tape if available). He will quickly scavenge the area to see what he can find to ensure the remaining water does not evaporate before it can be traded, and if possible he will keep the mud from drying as well. Water can be extracted from mud. Once he arrives he will seek to trade his provisions for weapons, armor, precious metals, rare gems, and magical items. He will use Bleed Memory in order to determine a reasonable value of exchange, and be sure to drive a hard bargain thereafter. |

About half the water Kira had, is gone, and the mud is able to be secured for the final leg of the journey. The water is currently going for the equivalent of 250 credits a gallon. Kira is able to get 300 per gallon in trade. As he still has about 200 gallons of water/mud left over he is able to get 60,000 credits of gear. (GMG or BoM are good places to look for gear) |

==Kira== Kira adds the credits to his growing income and before making any purchases, heads straight to the artificer, Lady Sassanian. Knocking on the door he waits to be asked to enter, not his usual style but not all things could be obtained through force, violence, or threats. He steps through the door when asked to enter and presents the woman with the substance. "I have done as you have asked and obtained the necessary ingredient for the repairs. I must apologize, but my world is on the brink of an invasion and I am needed there with all due haste, I would appreciate it if I were able to be fixed and on my way with all due haste." |

Lady Sassanian welcomes you back into her shop and settles down to fix the bracelet. She pours the substance over the broken piece and then over the area where it is supposed to go. She sets the broken piece into place and murmurers a short incantation. There is a soft glow from the area and then fades away. The anklet is repaired. |

==Kira== Kira watches quietly (is there any change in his PPE level?). When the surprisingly quick process is complete he waits for a moment, stands up and tests his ankle. "Thank you for your help, were the supplies I brought you earlier of use to you?" He asks as a nicety, but it is in truth a precursor to a number of questions. Once she answers, he will start. "It seems to me that you are one of the few beings in existence that knows of these stones and their properties. In truth, they are alien to even me. All I know is that much of my strength is tied to them, and unfortunately they bind me to a master not of my choosing. I would be most grateful for any information you have about stones like those on my ankle and the beings that employ them. Even if you do not have any information immediately I would be happy to employ you to research them, if possible." OOC: If Kira goes shopping, is MDC stuff still off limits on HU earth? And is there a limit to what is available in the market here? Edited by Beowulf, Nov 14 2011, 03:33 AM.

(Kira's PPE level returns to normal) The woman answers Kira's questions about supplies in a non-committal manner. "My knowledge has been hard won, and I gained it at a cost even you would balk at. I share it with no one. Like a Shifter or Summoner, you signed a Pact with a creature of great power, willing or not, it is a Pact you cannot escape. Live with your choices, or kill yourself and answer for your failure in the afterlife. I will tantalize you with this bit of information however, the being you serve is well known to me, and I am aware of it's strengths, and it's weaknesses. Now, begone with you, I have other more important matters to attend to." (With the exception of Coalition States new weaponry, anything in the GMG can be found if you know where to look, Streetwise [-5%] can locate the appropriate shops. Also, anything goes at this point) |

==Kira== Another time, another place. Patience is key here, and foolishness could cost me more than I have already lost. Kira is not pleased with the answer but is not foolish enough to provoke the woman before him, instead he bows low. "You have my thanks for the exquisite services you have already rendered me, I did not intend to offend or belittle you with my offer. If there is any way I could earn this knowledge you have in regards to the creature, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you have a request that is within my power to grant in exchange, I will do it." He leaves her with the dimensional co-ordinates of the pyramid and excuses himself to take care of three things. Firstly, identifying the warlock's magical ring. Streetwise (72%-5%): 1d100=42 = success! Secondly, shopping. Finally, he has some unfinished business with certain guards he met on his way in, and their families. Edited by Beowulf, Nov 26 2011, 06:57 AM.

The ring is unidentifiable. Shopping proves to be a pointless effort, as Kira has nearly everything he would ever need from raiding the warlock's vault. The guards, their families, pets, and general living areas are quickly taken care of, and Kira is 'forced' to leave a little earlier than he planned due to a general alert and every soldier, guard, and security force in the city alerted and hunting him now. |

The trip back through the portal to the Three Galaxies is uneventful this time around. Kira finds Col. Solomon packing up his army and preparing them to move out. ==Kira== Kira stands after being ushered in, "I'd like to thank you for the substance you gave me, it has helped restore my strength. I would be lying, however, if I told you that I came back all this way simply to thank you. "The planet I have been most recently living on, known as Earth, is in need of an army such as yours. We are facing the threat of invading armies from other dimensions, a demon war spilling over on to our doorsteps. It is likely that one side will try to conquer the planet in order to bolster their resources, but this will simply result in the planet becoming a three way battleground between its current residents, and both factions in the demon's war. "Before I came here I was working on providing as much of an overhaul to the planetary defenses as possible, but my time has been limited. Both the planet and I would be grateful for your assistance, though I understand that it would not come without a price. If I can not afford to personally employ you then I would put you in contact with an organization on Earth that may have the resources necessary." OOC: Having been a bounty hunter/assassin/mercenary on Rifts earth, would Kira have some idea what price a group of this caliber would be expected to cost? |
