Good remakes that are almost as good as, or better then, the original? The Talk Dirty To Me (Poison Cover) by Jughead's Revenge is better then the original, as is I remember you (Skid Row Cover) by the Ataris. The Bark at the Moon (Ozzy Cover) by Strung out is good, but not as good as the original. Know any others? |

Remakes are never as good as the orginal, because it always feels like the remaker is trying to be the orginal artist, but fails, because they aren't them. |

I beg to differ. Listen to Poison's version of "talk dirty to me". It sucks ass. Then listen to Jughead's version. It's awesome. Of course, remakes are almost always worse, but there are those few rare gems... |

Snowblind by System of a Down wasn't bad. It's a Black Sabbath cover. Also, Less Than Jake's cover of Surrender, originally by Cheap Trick. Or, A Perfect Circle's Imagine, originally by John Lennon. In fact, one of their albums (eMOTIVe) includes 10 covers and two original songs. The two orignals are composed of a phailed side-project between the Drummer and NIN's Trent Reznor, and a remix of a song on a previous album. Ayup. Oh yeah, APC also has that Led Zep cover, When the Levee Breaks. Actually, Zep covered it from someone else... XD at the codes for the smilies! |
