Portraits? I need help.
I wish I were what I was when I was trying to become what I am now.

Do not click. Do, however, click these at your leisure ('specially for stats): Gero, Terra, Tic, Nys'elni and Murphy.

Challenges open if I'm around, though you'd better be prepared to stat, 'cause I'm lazy.

HELLO EVERYBODY

iirc, some people also use Photoshop, but it's not really needed for portraits/sprites.

I use a combination of MS paint and an extremely old version of MGI Photosuite. It's so old that it doesn't recognize .png files. ><

Me: Paint is the best option. Sure, you can sprite with Photoshop or Paintshop or whatever, but ultimately, it's like trying to kill a fly with an elephant gun. Needlessly difficult, destructive, tiring, yet oddly satisfying if you do it, but much harder than just using that flyswatter.

I find PSP much easier than pain...

1) Colourising. Hand if you're lazy, but I rarely use it

2) Layers. Self explanitory

3) The ability to access every colour at once.

4) THERE IS NO-*shot*

Paint is WAY easier, how do you think I make all my awesome portraits and chibis? PSP is needlessly complicated.

4) THERE IS NO-*shot*

1. Coloring is not that hard using the right-click eraser deal.
2. Layers aren't that important in something as simple as sprites/portraits.
3. Custom colors, or you could just use colors from other portraits...

I use, "Photo Impression 5" I got it with my Digi-Cam, and it's not that bad seeing as it reduces the amount of time picking shades. The more you click= The darker the colour. <.<

I'm guessing it's City of Villians.

If it is, I am instantly jealous of Je for having the CoH/CoV games...
