This is not an argument, more of a debate, mostly because I'm bored. Now then. We all know Lucius has pretty bad defence. However: 1) So do a ton of FEABL charas 2) All but his luck make up for it 3) The other FE7 Bishops suck (More on that later) 4) Let me explain a bit. Lucius is our lovely (literally) monk/bishop friend who gets slagged off for his defence growth, with which I still maged to reach 15 on. However, let's leave growths and lucky stats out, and think about his uses and comparisons. Link Arena: Lucius - Caps Mag, Speed, Skill with some Luck and Resistance with some luck. He has good offensive capabilities for an FE7 magic user. Also fares well against the other magic users, including Luna-Canas. Athos doesn't count. Of course, he isn't perfect. Lucius isn't cut out for the LA with his poor HP and Def, but still far better than Renault. Serra - Her stats are fairly good, but she is healer. This makes it fairly difficult and impractical to get her to 20/20, and even then has slightly lower HP, and Con. Her defence is almost as bad as Lucius' at 15% At the LA, she misses out on the much needed skill and HP. However, she still gets plenty of Speed and Mag, and I can't deny that incredibly luck growth. Slightly more useful LA-wise. Renault - Excuse me while I laugh at his lack of usefulness. I'm sorry, but incredibly low Magic, not as good def as you may think (come on! A cap higher than 21!) and low resistance. Not even half decent luck! In the LA, Renault does little to no damage, and hisdevensive doesn't make up for it. Main Game: Lucius - Great fun. He caps magic early, and can cream most enemies when you reach a good way in. His defencive isn't very good physically, but the enemies are only worrying to him on hard mode. He also gains C in staves on promotion, which means instant access to Recover. Behind a tank like Oswin, he makes a nasty spearhead which still can DA even with heavier tomes due to low enemy speed. Serra - Very good. I prefer Priscilla, but all my heralers get RNG screwed anyway. ;_; Her offensive stats, Speed and Skill are excellent, and her low skill doesn't matter much here, with light magic's high hit and enemies' hopeless evasion. Her healing abilities are pretty lasting, too. However, Being a healer, she grows slowly before promotion, and is a little vulnerable. Also, she only gains D in light after promotion (still better than priscillas, I suppose V.V;;) Serra is good in the Main Game. Renault - Whee... where to start? Okay. 2nd/3rd last level entry. Alright, he comes with fortify, but we give that to Athos, and can find it in a chest in VoL if we're Hector-ing. I know you all say that we don't need much magin in the Main Game, but after you recruit him he'll face Pegasus Knights and Limstella (Only a couple of low-res units in that level after you get him), Kishuna if you play Hector, and high resistance enemies in the final battle. Okay, I'm done now, so if you want to comment/threaten, you can find me hiding from those with Poll editing powers. *hides* EDIT: GAAAAH! I meant to post it in Fire Emblem! |

Although I agree that Lucius is not as horrible as people say, Renault isn't that horrible. Sure, he sucks in Link Arena, is'nt worth bringing to Light to get his Supports, and is the worst Bishop in the game, he's not that bad. He was able to do one damage to Limstella. That's sayiog something. |

Lay out the traffic cones and punch through the concrete with your pneumatic drill as your new roadway starts to take shape. As your skills grow you will be able to embark on a range of diverse missions. Country roads, pothole repairs, lane widening and motorway construction are all in a day's work for the hard hat highway heroes! Dig for pay dirt and form your own civil engineering company. You will be starting modestly with small wheel loaders but success is in the soil! As your skills and reputation increase grow your business with the purchase of a huge selection of equipment including the heavy road roller! Get swept up into fighting the flotsam and jetsam of city life with Street Cleaning Simulator! In Street Cleaning Simulator you are the proud owner/operator of a small firm specialising in keeping the town's roads free from all the leaves and dirt that accumulate over time. Visit your office to learn what work the Mayor's office has for you. Your vehicle is a highly sophisticated street cleaning machine. It's equipped with three highly powered and independently operated brushes. Whose work can be supported by highly powered water jets - which are needed to remove that stubborn street dirt. You'll be operating on busy streets so you'll have to use your driving skills to avoid pedestrians and other road users. Remember to use your wing mirrors to help prevent crashing your vehicle. Don't forget to fill up with fuel...and water......and empty out the muck from time to time. Street Cleaning Simulator features highly detailed vehicles and a wonderfully crafted town for you to explore - and keep clean! No more waiting on the hard shoulder in Europe to be rescued! Tow Truck Simulator places you in the role of the driver and operator of a rescue truck as you become the hero of the hour and rescue broken down vehicles and attend accidents. Or perhaps you will prefer to take the role of the driver of a dreaded towing truck and tow away illegally parked cars. There are four models of tow trucks for you to choose from each with a crane and winch to remove every kind of vehicle. You will learn how to handle different cars to get them loaded as quickly as possible! The large detailed 3D environment allows you to freely explore the roads around you whilst searching for drivers in distress.

Okay, my Serra's are always RNG blessed, so I may be biased: Meh. He's good for using Aureola, and eliminating wyvern riders/Lords (need I say take spear and run?), and you dont need to worry about S rank in staves (serra) or being lumped with a jeigan (renaud). Then again, if you arena abuse with Serra, you be safe. And dont complain about defense, magic users always get craptastic defenses unless rng blessed (and my serras are still bad. but then she just gets out of the way...) |

Hmm... I don't really like Lucius, and I'll bring up a few counter-points.
True, but he also has the worst Mag and Spd caps of any spellcaster. Keep in mind, though, that no spellcaster in FE7 is really LA-worthy. That makes it even more important to either include Hector or Lyn in your team, or get the Uber Spear, if only for the sake of having a decent non-S-rank weapon to fall back on.
Her loss of 2 points in Con is easily offset by the 2 point advantage in Spd. Better Spd cap means you can afford to lose more AS from Con. Her evasion will be better, since she'll have the same AS, but with much more Luck. As for Def, almost is the key word here.
M'kay, even I, one of Renault's largest fans, will admit that not even a deranged monkey would bring Renault to the LA. You need a decent amount of attack power in the LA, and low Mag plus weak weapons means very little power.
Equipping him with anything heavier than Shine causes his evasion to simply roll over and die once you factor in that painfully low Spd cap. If the enemies are swarming him, then it doesn't matter that he'll kill them in one round, since they'll be attacking him before he counterattacks.
Serra's a bit different than Lucius. They've both got plenty of Res, and they'll end up with the same AS (unless you include Lightning, in which case, Serra's slightly faster), except Serra's got plenty of Luck to go along with everything else. She won't have to worry nearly as much about the occaisonal enemy Swordmaster, due to better Luck, and those pop up from time to time even in the normal modes.
See, this is where you're looking at all the wrong points. In-game, Renault appears useless at first glance, but who's better to weaken up the enemies for your Lords, who probably still need some exp, to land the finishing blow that they wouldn't normally get? With low Mag and weak weapons, Renault will reliably not kill your enemies, giving plenty of exp to the Lords. The enemies might even swarm him on their turn, since he's - GASP! - a spellcaster. That said, I'm not saying Renault is a godsend or anything. Everybody he Supports with either sucks (Isadora, for example) or has far better options (Bartre, for example), and if you need him to actually kill an enemy in one round, you're probably screwed. He is, however, horribly underrated. I rest my case. |

Good points, Zap. I'm not putting Serra or Renault(m'kay... maybe Renault) down, however, just bringing Lucius up. I mentioned that Lucius was good when covered by a tank, which I feel is undeniable, and good for taking out promos. And the caps problem regards all Bishops. However, that comment about Renaud. Interesting idea. May have to note that one down ^_^ |

*Hides from Buggy* Meh. I needed avi space. That's right IS PH43R ME! Anyway back on topic. I personally have never liked Lucious till recently. His Magic was capped at level 13/14 upromoted and luck soon after. Even though he didn't get one defence gain for his 17 levels till promotion he ended up with 13 at 20/20 (not the best but whtever) Plus you get him earlier than your other healers/ bishop so it's easy to start out strong. |

Lucius is not bad. That said, there are many other people who can do the job he does...way better. Why waste a spot on Lucius when some other unit who doesn't have the durability of A WET PAPER TOWEL can still reliably kill in one round (Erk/Pent with Thunder). Thunder has divine's might, but at like half the weigh, and Erk/Pent feel like physical tanks compared to Lucius. Lucius can't dodge well and can't take physical hits, making him very vulnerable. Enemy magical units are MUAHAHA pathetic in this game for the most part, so RES is not a big deal (Erk/Pent/Canas have more than enough RES anyways). Add to the fact that Light magic is umm...craptastic (Dark-magic style Weight but sword-style damage? No thanks) and Lucius, while the best of the bishops, is not a unit you'd want every time. Now, meanwhile, a healer or even two I'd include in every game, and since Serra is probably making it in anyways as my healer, I might as well promote her, and since I have her, I see no reason to add in Lucius. Most everything Lucius can do before Serra promote the other two (Erk, Canas) can do equally well or better. |

Light magic isn't that bad when you consider that about ¾ of the game's enemy spellcasters use Dark magic. Granted, that means you've got an advantage on about six enemies in particular, but that's beside the point. |

While Lucius is a good char, I find Serra to be a better, more reliable bishop. His Def and Luck are pathetic, and whith his low speed cap, many enemies will have a decent hit rate against him, and unless their magic users, he will be taking a lot of damage. Serra on the other hand, has 2 more speed for her cap, and I think averages more def then Lucius, so she will dodge more hits then Lucius, and when she does get hit, will be able to handle it better then him. |

Saber Level 20/10 SwordMaster Oni Level 6 Thief Rayden Level 12 Wyvern Rider Huaclir Level 1 Pirate If life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. And sure as hell don't throw those lemons away. Sit down and think, think long and hard about what you did to get those lemons. Because if you can get a metaphysical concept like Life to give you real physical lemons, you're one step away from the mysteries of the universe. - PhoeKun. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

1478: George Plantagenet, Duke of Clarence, was executed by drowning in a barrel of Malmsey wine at his own request. Put on your hard hat and head for the highways! From repairing country lanes, to constructing huge motorways your engineering skills will be put to the test in this fascinating simulation. Lay out the traffic cones and punch through the concrete with your pneumatic drill as your new roadway starts to take shape. All of the tools of the trade are at your disposal including an asphalt planer, steamroller, marking machine and the whole gamut of machinery required to transform a building site into a super smooth motorway.
