I've recently ascertained some interesting information from my parents...in fact in three years I might not be a New Yorker anymore... It appears do to the high taxes here and the trouble with the area we are in (lovely house and street, but the rest is pretty lacking), it seems that I might in fact over the course of four years be moving to... Texas. Yep, I might be moving to Texas. Lower taxes and my parents seem to like the colleges over there so, they said if we do move out of state, we're going to Texas...in any event I was taken back by this, but I go with the family. Thought I might share this piece of info with you all. Any interesting things/fun facts I should now would be nice before going there. This probably means we'll be going on vacation to visit some areas over there as well. *Walks in with Yankee hat, Jets jacket, Strahan jersey and I wub New York tattoo* "Why is everyone staring at me?" |

You're coming to Texas? Dood! Here's a tip: Do NOT call Dallas "The Big D." Only tourists do that. |

Er...careful, Jmy. They take football seriously down there. Well, high school football, anyway. :orly: And your parents are right; taxes are killing average New Yorkers. Especially the sales and property taxes. I don't blame them for wanting to move. |

I dunno if you have to in New York, but in Texas, you have to get your car inspected every-so-often for various things. They don't do inspections in Kansas, so I dunno if they do it anywhere else. |

I just got the full story. Its Texas or bust, if we're gonna move it'll be to Texas in around three years PERIOD. We'll be going there on vacation over next summer (Probably not this one). As for cities, no idea. Inspections? Oh yeah, we do, but they usually would let any old thing pass, I would imagine it would be stricter elsewhere. Thanks. |

Quite, but it appears it might be a Texas college, even if I live on campus I'll be looking around the same state. If I don't make into New Paltz up here, I might be going to one of the Universities over there. I'll have more info when the date gets closer |

It's equipped with three highly powered and independently operated brushes. Whose work can be supported by highly powered water jets - which are needed to remove that stubborn street dirt. You'll be operating on busy streets so you'll have to use your driving skills to avoid pedestrians and other road users. Remember to use your wing mirrors to help prevent crashing your vehicle. Don't forget to fill up with fuel...and water......and empty out the muck from time to time. There are four models of tow trucks for you to choose from each with a crane and winch to remove every kind of vehicle. You will learn how to handle different cars to get them loaded as quickly as possible! The large detailed 3D environment allows you to freely explore the roads around you whilst searching for drivers in distress.

You come here, eh? Well, here's some stuff you need to know: 1. There are only two seasons here: Summer, and Football season. 2. Only tourists wear felt cowboy hats in the summer. If you wear one, you will be laughed at. 3. If you diss country music, you will be shot. 4. If you diss Latino music, you will be shot. 5. If you diss our football (high school, college, state, pee-wee, WHATEVER), you will be shot. 6. If you talk in a funny accent, you will be ridiculed... and shot for the hell of it. 7. Pick-up trucks are your God. 8. And Walker, Texas Ranger, is the Messiah. 9. The term 'y'all' is only to be used in the plural tense. Only idiots and tourists (is there really a difference?) use it in the singular. 10. Saying OU is your favorite football team will not only get your ass kicked, but also your money stolen, your tires knifed, and whatever else we can think of through a drunken haze. 11. The size of the pick-up truck is usually inverse to the size of the brain of the person driving it. 12. Barbeque counts as one of the five foodgroups, along with chili, tacos, pecan pie, and beer. 13. Never enter South Dallas without an AK-47, or a damn good life-insurance policy. Other than all that, welcome to Texas, and we're glad y'all came down! Just don't forget to go back home. |

1478: George Plantagenet, Duke of Clarence, was executed by drowning in a barrel of Malmsey wine at his own request. Put on your hard hat and head for the highways! From repairing country lanes, to constructing huge motorways your engineering skills will be put to the test in this fascinating simulation. Lay out the traffic cones and punch through the concrete with your pneumatic drill as your new roadway starts to take shape. All of the tools of the trade are at your disposal including an asphalt planer, steamroller, marking machine and the whole gamut of machinery required to transform a building site into a super smooth motorway. As your skills grow you will be able to embark on a range of diverse missions. Country roads, pothole repairs, lane widening and motorway construction are all in a day's work for the hard hat highway heroes! Dig for pay dirt and form your own civil engineering company. You will be starting modestly with small wheel loaders but success is in the soil! As your skills and reputation increase grow your business with the purchase of a huge selection of equipment including the heavy road roller! Get swept up into fighting the flotsam and jetsam of city life with Street Cleaning Simulator! In Street Cleaning Simulator you are the proud owner/operator of a small firm specialising in keeping the town's roads free from all the leaves and dirt that accumulate over time. Visit your office to learn what work the Mayor's office has for you. Your vehicle is a highly sophisticated street cleaning machine. Street Cleaning Simulator features highly detailed vehicles and a wonderfully crafted town for you to explore - and keep clean! No more waiting on the hard shoulder in Europe to be rescued! Tow Truck Simulator places you in the role of the driver and operator of a rescue truck as you become the hero of the hour and rescue broken down vehicles and attend accidents. Or perhaps you will prefer to take the role of the driver of a dreaded towing truck and tow away illegally parked cars. There are four models of tow trucks for you to choose from each with a crane and winch to remove every kind of vehicle. You will learn how to handle different cars to get them loaded as quickly as possible! The large detailed 3D environment allows you to freely explore the roads around you whilst searching for drivers in distress.

Actually, in New York it's more like Judge: So we have 10 witnesses to each of this man's 20 murders... Defense lawyer: Do you people of the jury really believe those witnesses? If we put another innocent man to death then you people will really look bad because this will be the <insert number here> death penalty in the state. Everyone will hate you. Jury: Oh noes! You know what's stupid? If your'e on death row, and you try to kill yourself, they try to stop you. They also swab the needle with antibacterial stuff before they kill you with it. My grandpa was a gaurd at a death row prison, he told me. |

Yeah, they feel a need to sterilize everything when they're about to kill someone. They give three does of fatal injection. The first is basically an anesthetic, it puts him to sleep. The second causes the lungs to stop breathing, and the third stops heartbeat. |
