Now, what would be really cool is if they did a double triangle--like Light > Dark > Anima (Fire > Wind > Thunder) > Light.

They had that in FE4, for light < anima being the other way around. And light was nearly exclusive to your side, so nobody minded. >_>

I thought light and dark were neutral to each other in FE4. They don't show light having the advantage over dark in the weapon description and vice versa.

There's a section when you check weapon stats that says what advantages and disadvantages a certain weapon has, IIRC, it shows that Light has an advantage over the three anima types and dark <.<

That irked me as well. The effect seeming more fit for Dark magic anyway was annoying enough, but the name Nosferatu screams "big, bad dark spell that you DO NOT want to get hit by," even if the spell itself is a little disappointing.

The official release date is now 22nd February (in Japan).

The weapon types are:

Sword, Lance, Axe, Bow, Knive, Strike,
Fire, Thunder, Wind, Light, Dark, Staff

No comment on how Fire, Thunder and Wind magic works.

It seems height only affects movement. However, the exact details are said to be uknown.

It seems staves can be used to fight with.

Something that might've been nifty would have been a Laguz triangle (like dragons > hawks/ravens > cats/tigers > dragons)...yeah, that was random. I'd guess that Strike is what they're calling the Laguz 'weaponry,' but that's just me.

There, that pic works. ...The archer in it looks like Klein...and I can't tell whether the heron is male or female.... >.> It looks shiny overall, though.

Well, maybe it's the weapon type a staff becomes when you whack someone with it, seeing as it's apparently possible.

And also, maybe they could have changed the weapon level gimmick so Laguz can get a use out of it. >>

Hey, did they make it so that you can have an inkling of when a weapon level's going to increase again, like in FE6/7/8? Didn't see anything on it when I skimmed the topic, but I probably missed it. The lack of that really annoys me in FE9, though.

He was still alive and never shown. And as Reyson would not have aged that much in that time, unless herons have very short lifespans, it's most likely Reyson and Leanne's father.

And wouldn't know. If it doesn't have to do with hawt bishie herons, I don't know much about it...

And why should I trust your ability? You have very consistently been losing ground to the Germans, regardless of whether I've been on your side or not. What you're telling me is that I have a dilemma: either I can fight you and see you lose all of your SCs to Germany, or I can fight Germany and see you lose all of your SCs to Germany.

The Heron is a Prince and is named Raphael. And the archer is Leonard. Now all they need is a Donatello and a Michaelangelo... XD

Three years have passed since the Continent of Tellius was shook by the war between Crimea and Daein. The victorious Crimea began rebuilding its lands under their Queen Elincia, orphan of the fallen King.

On the other hand, the defeated Daein is put under the rule of the Begnion Empire. However those of the old Daein Kingdom are troubled with the oppression by the imperial garrison, and live each day with despair.

In order to escape from this plight, and to save the lives of many Daein citizens, several brave warriors rise by the capital of Nevassa. Their courageous actions are set to shake the whole continent...

Thanks to VincentASM for that >_>

Meh. Franz.

Lots more info!

* The game is almost 100% complete
* Mikaya is the main character, although it may change later on in the game
* Ike probably will appear (there was no definite answer though)
* The game has the same difficulty modes as FE9 (i.e Normal, Hard and Maniac), and there is a Tutorial.
* The Opening movie has a "Lord of the Rings" feel to it.
* The Wii remote, Classic controller and Gamecube controller can be used.
* There will be 1.5x as much chapters as in previous games (45?)
* There is no transfering from FE9 (probably means like you can't transfer Sothe's stats etc.)
* The game will last around 40~50 hours.

That seems long for a Fire Emblem.

And I like the classic Gamecube controller.

There are alternate routes, the game is split between the Dawn Group and Elincia. Also, Hector mode with all gaidens and Lyn's quest has about 42 chapters, IIRC. Not to big.
