Don't worry guys, I got a good price for selling you out

Well done genius, that was a brilliant plan, falling into this cave here. Now you’re stuck with no food, no water and no way out of this pitch black hole in the ground. You need a plan, and the sound of hungry creatures above you isn’t helping. Eventually, you stumble through the darkness and find yourself in a room. It’s gigantic. A smell of old, congealed blood hangs in the air, and you can imagine the sweat and fear of the people who have been down here before. It’s obvious what you are standing in: it’s an ancient arena. From the looks of this place it hasn’t been used in centuries, but looks can be deceiving. At the far side of the room are two doorways. In between the two is a stone plaque with something carved into it. You wander up and read it. “There are two pathways here. Both will lead to your salvation but neither will be defenceless. Each path is guarded, and you will either fight your way out or die in these caves. To the left lies the easiest escape route; the guards are old and weary and victory should be simple, even for you. But can you live with yourself for taking the easy route out, especially with the riches and rewards that lie at the other exits? You’ll never know what you’ve missed if you go out that way. Taking to right door with land you in an unbeatable struggle for your life. Only the mightiest will escape unscathed and take the riches the lie protected by the strongest warriors of this land. Remember, a dead man with a ton of gold is worth exactly nothing. Which do you want more; an easy path to escape to save your worthless hide or is your thirst for treasure unquenchable? There is no going back once you have chosen your path, so choose wisely. If you don’t, then it will be the last bad decision you make.” Behind you, the pathway you came through suddenly, and conveniently, decides to cave in at that moment. You sigh, and stare at the two pathways. Then, you make your choice: --- Welcome to the Underground Cataclysm: a twisting arena where you decide how difficult your opponent is. There are some simple rules to go through first of all: 1. There are 4 sets. Lvls 1-10, 11-20, 21-30 and 31-40. The levels are listed like that rather than 20/1 because of prepromos: they’ll fit in whatever their total level adds up to (eg: 15/1 fights in 11-20 section, but 15/6 fights in 21-30). Anyone who fights in a group below their character’s level will have their prizes taken away from them and be banned from this place for 2 weeks. You CAN fight levels above you but…why? 2. The pathways look something like this: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y265/Sabr...edwithBPmk3.png http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y265/Sabr...motedwithBP.png (Yay for Paint drawings) As you can see, there are five different exits you can take to get out and many different ways to get there. After each fight, you can chose which path to take and which battle you fight next. The top path is the easiest and the lowest one is the hardest. There are prizes for getting out but, obviously, if you take the hardest path, you get the biggest prize. 3. There are no hidden traps or things that need to be done by mods here; you can do all the statting and RNing yourself (stats are in another topic in this place). However, if you’re cheating, we will find out and you won’t just be banned from entering a short time, it’s permanent. And you’ll probably be suspended from the whole site for some time too. 4. Like in the old Tower, you do not gain experience for battling here (includes both battle and weapon experience). However, you do gain BP for winning battles. The harder the battle, the more BP you gain. Also like in the Tower, this BP can be spent on items like promotion items. Have BP left from the Tower? You can spend that here too. And just in case anyone asks, the BP gains are the SAME for each set and you can find them in the pictures above. Also, BP gains stack each run. This means that if you beat, for example, the monk in the unpromoted section you now have 6BP (the 2 you started with and the 4 you gained from the fight) and so on. 5. If you lose, you somehow manage to scramble out of this place, but you lose half of the BP that you gained this run. You can’t re-enter for another day though (this applies even if you finish it, and that's user, not per character). If you lose in the first room, you might want to stay away for longer. 6. Carrying on influence from the Tower, you aren’t allowed to choose your weapon. You’ll always have an E rank weapon (Iron weapons/Fire/Lighting and Flux) to start with, moving up weapon ranks only if you cannot damage an enemy. If you tink with a Silver/A rank tome, you’re killed instantly. Also like in the Tower, if you can use more than one weapon, you must choose one and you cannot change between rounds. If you have multiple weapons, you can’t change between matches. The rule of weapons applies to your enemy as well; if they tink with an iron weapon they move up to steel and so on. For enemies with choice weapons, they will use the same kind of weapon as you. If they cannot, then they will always go for the triangle advantage. If neither of those situations apply, they will use whichever weapon can inflict the most damage. Enemy units that can use bows will always do so against fliers too. As a note onto this, the weapon you use is NOT the one in your inventory, it is a brand new weapon. You DO NOT lose weapon uses or gain weapon exp. 7. Just so there are no questions about it; magic users must attack within counter range. Bow users also attack from a range of 1 so they can counter and be countered. 8. Good luck in there. If you go the hard paths you’re damn well going to need it. 9. For those of you who have custom skills for your characters: Yes, you can use their skills in here. So, you start with two BP. Do you add the BP you win from each sucessive battle, or are you simply increased to that ammount, as shown in the diagrams? EDIT: For example, I go into the first round with 2BP. I decide to face the monk, and beat him. Do I now have 6BP, or just 4BP like it says beneath the monk? |

You have 6 BP after mauling the monk, Kochi. It's added to what you already have in that run. |

It was confirmed to stack during my run; yes, you apparently add it all up. Also, I think the time after winning should be extended, at least for the individual character. If one can blaze through the hard path, and one CAN, it's going to get pretty broken. |

486 is the limit per day, assuming you take the entire hard path. Considering you can only do one character per day, it shouldn't be that bad. |

Gah, OK, Im going to say this, cause It ****es me off. Alright....I think the Crater(At least 1-20) Fights are COMPLETELY unfair to swordsmen. Why? Because, the two best people both have maxed def and use lances. So, the most dmg a swordperson can do is 4(In the case of maxed str), 8(In the case of maxed Speed AND Str) So...ya, Im just frustrated Cause Korit needs a Hero's Crest, but with the measly 158 BP per run he gets, it'll take me a month. Just sayin.... |

They were chosen for the sole reason that they are the hardest classes at lower levels. That is why they guard the hardest paths. So, sucks to be you. Also, 158BP a day is a hell of a lot more then my sword users used to get in the ToV. So stop whining. |
