I've never played Fire Emblem. ;_; Okay I played like 10 minutes once. It's probably exactly like FF Tactics. *Imagines the flame war he JUST started* Okay, okay, I know they're completely different. ANYWAYS. See, there's this store I love. It's called EB Games. And they always have Fire Emblem games in there used games case, the ones for gameboy. Anywho, I really want to buy one and play it, so in your opinion, which Fire Emblem games are the best for GBA? |

4:24 PM - John Ѯzzingford: "Alternate Universes". 4:24 PM - John Ѯzzingford: Taking an existing set of characters, and putting them in an altogether different setting. 4:25 PM - John Ѯzzingford: For example, you could take the cast of the Mario games, and set them up in some kind of detective-versus-cannibal-mastermind drama. | |

I'd suggest Fire Emblem (no subtitle), as a first. It was pretty much everyone else's. >_> And there's only that and TSS for the American GBA, and it's the better of the two. |

8 is incredibly easy to beat. FE7 (it's just called Fire Emblem outside of Japan) has a 10 chapter tutorial to get you used to the game since you haven't played it before, and is all around better. I doubt they have 6, but if for whatever reason they do, get it after you beat FE7. |

Pick up the original Fire Emblem game. You can pick up Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones too, but it's not as good as the first one. Mostly because it's far too easy and the story is bleh.
Nope. Just "Fire Emblem" and "Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones". |

No. It'll just be Fire Emblem, or Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones. There are 6 other games before the ones we got, so that's how you'd have to abbreviate the names. |

{whacks z9} *ahem* The thing about The Sacred Stones is that while its story seems promising, it's too short for the storyline to go anywhere, and it's really easy. Just plain Fire Emblem is longer and more difficult, but you'll still be fine. I'd go with Fire Emblem, personally. The FEABL is based in Fire Emblem's world, too, not The Sacred Stones'. Also, just about the only thing that FE and FFT have in common is the basic combat structure, just so you know. If FFT is anything like FFT A. |

Also, after you've played 7 for awhile, try out FE9 for the GC. I love it almost as much as FE7(only advantage 7 has is portability). And by then, I'm pretty sure FE10 for the Wii will be out. >_> |

Mystery Dungeon was a tearjerker in the main story. The endgame plot wasn't great, but the actual plot was powerful. It had death, fugitives, curses, and was so very dark. Especially for a Pokemon game. I don't bash FE8, even though I still haven't finished it, because it's less utterly unforgiving. Mind that I'm a weenie, and most games are too hard for me. FE9 (GC) is quite fun, though. As much as I enjoy it being portable, it's a nice experience. |
