That's too over-the-top and non-realistic for Fire Emblem, though. It fits good for SRW games, since the very thought of giant robots fighting is over-the-top and non-realistic, but it wouldn't fit FE.

A big part of the reason for that is that the AI has to understand that a fallen chunk of tree is cover. It has to deal with and exploit an environment that can dramatically change with every gunshot. When they first implemented this, Senior Game Designer Bernd Diemer discovered that he could grab a fallen tree and hold it in front of him to become completely invisible to the AI. This tactic is frowned upon in the real military as unsporting, so it had to be tactfully explained to the AI that a walking tree is deeply suspicious.

No, but the way the dragons are interpreted is more realistic. They don't tear apart dimensions, summon black holes, or destroy whole chunks of a planet(only for the enemy to survive and no one in the near area is damaged). They just breathe fire.

So yes, Spot said it well.

Um. No. Mia? SRT graphics? I like her best right now.

It's sweet that we've finally got a release date, but what's taking them so long to get this to us anyways?

*grumble*

Holding off until the holiday season for some odd reason?

Translating Japanese isn't easy, either...still, one would think they've had plenty of time.

That's too over-the-top and non-realistic for Fire Emblem, though. It fits good for SRW games, since the very thought of giant robots fighting is over-the-top and non-realistic, but it wouldn't fit FE.

But the weapons.. They're.. like, legendary! They should break dimensions and stuff!

Note the bold word. It's not Final Fantasy, Moon. >_>

Me: And people who can turn into dragons are realistic?

No, but the way the dragons are interpreted is more realistic. They don't tear apart dimensions, summon black holes, or destroy whole chunks of a planet(only for the enemy to survive and no one in the near area is damaged). They just breathe fire.

So yes, Spot said it well.

Then, they, um.. should, um, do everything cooler. Like shoot three fireballs while striking various poses instead of one when using Fire. >_>

Why? It doesn't fit Fire Emblem. Doing various poses while attacking on a battlefield may look flashy, but on s realistic sense, it's stupid to do.

y hello thar ike, hows aether today

I'm not trying to say that FE should be more SRW-y, but they have some pretty unrealistic stuff anyway. Still probably the most realistic, though. If only for character death and story.

I don't mind the fact that FE is realistic as these games go, but I'd like it if at east the animations were more interesting. FE9 was a real letdown in that department.

I love the Tactics Ogre series. Ogre Battle 64 was my favorite, despite being "real time" instead of turn based.
