Yup. I go for Pyros and Demos first, then Heavies, then Soldiers. I'm not too fond of Soldier ubers, but they're not too bad. Once, I managed to do decently well with ubering a scout. Too bad we got killed right after the uber ended. D: |

I ubered a scout once and he smartly killed the engie first then batted the sentry down. Then we ran to the final cap on dust 3 and got it. It was lulz and quite epic when he batted down a lone heavy that tried to stop us at the point. |

I had my best night of TF2 last night as the Demoman. I was 27-5 on Defense Gravel Pit. And I had the sickest cap, too. We we're on the second to last Dustbowl area. There were two Engis building turrets near the tunnel entrances, so I just waltzed down as a Spy, sapped the classic Sentry in the corner, walked on the point, and slashed with my knife. The Pyro didn't get there in time.

lawl Anyway, me and SK were discussing this a few days back. We think that Demoman is a better class than Soldier. Reasons: Demoman has more speed, larger ammo clip (these two making him a better über candidate), better explosive jumps/easier control over them, rapes sentries, whereas a Soldier is only good against ones without an engy around, and is a smaller target, I think. The Soldier has 25 more HP, better at scoring direct hits, and rockets are better at a range, though from long range you really shouldn't be getting hit by rockets too often. Of course, there's spamming a choke point, but stickies make the Demo better at that. Discuss? |

In my limited opinion: Soldier's a better guy in the thick frontline fighting, Demo's a better guy for smaller-scale fights in smaller areas. |

You've got a point. The Demo's worse at direct combat unless you're good at scoring direct hits with his primary grenades, which is kind of hard, but is much better at stopping the enemy from getting through an area and blowing up sentries. Assuming you can't aim the pipe bombs (I find it hard), the Soldier's probably better for everything but sentry killing. Actually, IMO, Scout is one of the better classes for direct fighting. Popping up behind a group of enemies and killing their Medic is quite satisfying. |

If you can aim grenades properly, Demo is pretty good against every class sans Scout. I can fling grenades with a reasonable amount of skill, but Scouts are usually too damn fast to hit unless you predict exactly where they will be. They're basically the Demoman's nightmare up close. |

On 2fort, I often set up my equipment in my own base, and then play Engie like I was a Spy. I hide outside the enemy's base and blast them with my shotgun or smack them with the wrench when they leave. :D Works better if you have another Engie or two that actually uses teamwork, though. |

Most of it. It was three rounds. First round I switched around alot, second I was mostly Medic (BLU, we won in about three minutes; I didn't even need my uber), third round was all Pyro and that's where most of the kills came from. To be fair, we weren't up against a particularly stellar team. |

Can anyone give me advice on how to get a better framerate and play at anything higher than 800 x 600, and what mouse I should get to stop me from randomly looking up and spinning? By far my favorite of the new offerings is the Ubersaw. Looking more like a gun from Gears of War, the Ubersaw is stained from hilt to curved blade in blood, a twisted piece of bad-ass metal. It adds 25% to your ubercharge after scoring a hit, at the expense of a 20% slower firing speed compared to the standard Bonesaw. Meant for the more offensively minded medics--AlexXdude, maldoror, et al--the potential for ubercharge madness, as well as total embarrassment and disastrous medic time-wasting, is huge. The Blutsauger--"The Vampire" in German--looks more like a blaster than a needle gun. It will suck away your enemy's health and add it to yours at the rate of three health per hit, a nasty self-healing weapon. But again, while it sounds superior to the Syringe Gun on paper, it lacks the ability to score critical hits, making it more of a defensive tool than anything else. The Critzcrieg we knew about, but it was no less interesting to play around with. The gun itself emits a passive yellow glow, and upon ubercharge, casts a Palpatine-esque lightning around your teammate's weapon, imbuing him with non-stop critical hits for 10 seconds. Deadly to be sure, but much like a standard ubercharge, it only stays active for so long. The charge must be well-timed, and fully taken advantage of. Unlike the health variant, this crit-uber provides no defense for your attacker, relying totally on the skill of your teammate. If your soldier wastes his few critical rockets on the wall, you'll be forced to beat a hasty retreat, with little gain to show for it. i came |

You'll Feel a Little Prick, Autoclave, Blast Assist, Blunt Trauma and Medical Breakthrough look like they'd be a lot easier with the Critzkrieg, assuming it counts as an uber for those purposes (not sure if it does), so they should be left for last. DIHWIDT? and Peer Review could take a while, but aren't impossible in themselves. Big Pharma, Placebo Effect, Triage, Sawbones, and Specialist look like the hardest ones. Triage is the one that most screams "SETUP" to me. I'd say the most annoying part will be that going for any of the weapon-based achievements(DIHWIDT/Peer Review/Placebo Effect) is that they take you away from contributing to Chief of Staff. And in the end, that'll probably be most players' last achievement. Also, I wonder if there are "true" names for the old weapons as well? |

Getting Scout rushed on 2Fort is hilarious, if only because them taking the upper path makes them laughable sniper fodder, and even when they kill you they have nothing but an Engie's gun to look forward to. :D And nope, sorry. |

You got my hopes up. ;_; So, if each of the remaining Meet the Team videos is on a different map as the ones so far have been, these are my predictions: Sniper - 2fort, naturally. Probably on the wrong battlements. Medic - Badlands Spy - Hydro Pyro - Goldrush |

Haha, I love n00bs on TF2. So, me and Wally were just in a match on CTF Well, and we were both playing Scout. I'm doing pretty good, topping the scoreboard and running about a 2:1 kill:death ratio, and some Scout on the other team starts going on about how much of a noob I am and how badly I suck. When I reply with the fact that I'm beating him in score and getting kills on him, he can't figure out anything to reply with aside "lol yeah w/e noob learn to play" or "you suck lol" :D |

I learned of a decent sentry gun location at Dustbowl 1. Inside the shack, at the corner that allows you to see the other doorway and the health and ammo packs. It covers all paths that don't lead to the mine. I killed a couple of Demomen, Soldiers, and two Spies that came to sap my Sentry, and it stood there until the end. The reason I built there in the first place is because we had like 10 Engineers on our team. Totally awesome. And heh, I managed to bumrush a Soldier from the other doorway. He took hits from my Sentry and fell back to reload, so I ran at him and a single shotgun blast was all it took. |
