The utility of the server is amazing, if people want a game we go on and soon it's full. It's not a server I would go on outside of BIG play, but when people want a game, it's good to have. At the end of the day, I'm not paying, so I should hold no weight. :D |

FYI the update broke SourceMod. I'll be back from work around 3 PM Pacific tomorrow, so if it's fixed by then, I'll refresh it, but if not, don't whine to me that rtv is broken. In the meantime, I've temporarily set up the rotation as the new maps minus Offblast. |

If we end up playing enough throughout the school year to justify it, it's not like he just can't reopen it. As it stands now, I've certainly been busier, and it's not fair to Wally to have him spend 20 bucks a month on something we only use occasionally. |

I'm... not sure. Anyway, imo we could do without First Blood and maybe the CTF crit-boost. I'd like damage/weapon spreads to be disabled, and am pretty ambivalent about random crits. BUT THAT'S JUST ME. |

Kiwi's already told you about his feelings on some, but he will post his feelings here anyway. -First Blood Remove or find a way to implement it so that it has a 10-25% chance of activating on the first kill -CTF crit boost Ehhh, don't really care -Random pellet spread This is how the weapons were intended, why change it? -Random Damage spread Keep it, or turn it on only for splash damage (if possible) -Random Crits Off only on Arena. |

In all seriousness, this is the rotation after some tweaks just now: cp_gravelpit koth_viaduct cp_yukon_final ctf_doublecross cp_dustbowl koth_harvest_final cp_granary pl_badwater Keeping badwater because it won a majority vote earlier, but I'm open to suggestions. I'm hoping to aim for around 10 maps. |

Is it possible to make it so that it could also switch maps based on rounds? Like for example, on Steel, have it 4 rounds total so both teams get two shots at offense and defense. Or have it use both time and rounds and switch whenever one of them is hit. |

Kiwi finds those lame, because some maps (Dustbowl), it's long enough even if a steamroll. Though for some maps like say Badlands where a round can be over due to scout rush in maybe a minute, it doesn't work as well. |

Kiwi and I think that this would be good: Map type - time limit/max rounds Arena - 15/unlimited A/D CP - 25/2 5-point CP - 15 or 20/3 CTF - 20/2 KotH - 15/unlimited PL - 25/2 PLR - 20/1 Also, I've changed my mind on the maps issue somewhat - we should give each map some chance. IMO, starting like... Thursday or Friday, change the rotation to include every official map, and maybe disable RTV (or institute an arena-y/n vote), and give this setup 4-7 days. Okay, I came up with a map rotation that utilizes almost all of the stock non-Arena maps (I hope no one loves Hydro too much). I tried to go 5-point CP/KotH -> Payload -> CTF -> Attack/Defend CP so the gameplay wouldn't get stagnant, but I ran out of maps for a few maptypes and the formula didn't stick for the entire rotation, but here goes: cp_well pl_goldrush ctf_turbine cp_dustbowl koth_harvest pl_badwater ctf_2fort cp_junction cp_badlands pl_hoodoo ctf_sawmill cp_gravelpit koth_nucleus cp_gorge ctf_doublecross cp_steel cp_granary ctf_well cp_egypt koth_sawmill cp_fastlane plr_pipeline cp_gorge koth_viaduct Thoughts? You forgot Yukon, but otherwise it seems like a good list. Are those round times taking into account the fact that it ends whenever there's <5 minutes left? With KoTH's short orund time, we could easily end up with a map lasting 10 minutes, which is way too short, especially for someone who takes 2-3 minutes to load a map. |

Oh, I did forget that, and I take a while to load games too. Anyway, we might want to increase KotH times for that, but I dunno about attack/defense or Payload, since the time limits tend to be pretty long and possibly even make the map last longer than 25 or whatever. |

Hmm, idea - put a link to the Steam group on the MOTD. That way, people who come around regularly can join our Steam group and get announcements re: password protecting of the server, when we're starting a match, etc. There is the issue of people not noticing it, but that's not something we can really change. |
