Paranormal; Supernatural beings... Do they exist?

The Paranormal is full of unexplained creatures.
Some of them are said to be human beings, spirits that walk the earth. Others are simply odd creatures.
The Supernatural is such an amazing thing to look at. It gives reason to unexplained things that happens.
Spirits who can not rest are said to walk the earth and can be seen as a silvery mist or just a dark shadow.
Ghosts or spirits can haunt people and homes, being simply peaceful and living along side the living, while others are out to cause disturbances, like pranks and occasionally some are so dangerous they will severly harm or kill the living.
No matter what they look like or what they do, there are many people in our world that believe the supernatural exists. Claims can be read in books, on tv, in movies and in pictures. Other people, believe that people have poor eye sight or if it is in a picture, a simple speck of dirt on the lens, a finger print or the reflection of the sun.
My question to you is: Do you believe we walk along side the Paranormal, or is it simply just an excuse for people's hallucinations and fears? Why?

Actually, my opinion is the same as Nia's.
I am one of those types of people that only believe's things if there's hard evidence or if I see it with my own eyes.
All these incidents or pictures aren't ghosts. Pictures that show things like that, have been exposed, a trick of light, a finger print, the camera moved slightly as it was takin' the pic, ect. Or simply a figment of the imagination.
Incidents could simply be a power problem like Gemma's t.v.

I dont believe in ghosts.
It is appointed unto man to die once, and after this comes the judgement.

You ever seen wind before? Or heat? Or cold? Santa? An Eskiymo? A dinosaur? Dought you've seen any of them but you still belive in them, don't you? The supernatural are deffinatly real and if you need evidence there's the pyramids for one and the pyramid under water and all. What about other freak stuff like ball lightening? Do you belive in that?

In other words there as real as everything else in this world.

But how can you prove that?
No one actually knows if ghosts really exist. The only evidence we have are photos and claimed sightings. Most of the photos are of poor quality or are not convincing enough. The sightings may be true but there is no evidence to say so. People have there own ideas of what ghosts look like, from human shaped figures to small objects. Even though there is so much material to say ghosts exist there is still no actual evidence.

http://www.ghostresearch.org/ghostpics/

All of the pictures that you will see have very logical explanations. Like, someone took a picture of a girl sitting in a graveyard, or someone took a picture of someone elses shadow. I also did a study on ghosts, and I cant tell you how many pictures of 'ghosts' I took, expirimenting with light and shadows. I took a picture of my sister sitting on the couch, and I could have gone up to someone and said, "this is my little sister. she died last year. I took this picture yesterday." but just because someone was foolish enough to believe me doesnt make it any more true.

but your comparison to wind is very good, and very true, no one can see the wind, but you can feel it.
but I am sorry to say, that 97.3 percent of ghosts that people 'feel', is just that. the wind.

Everyone is right. I belive the paronormal is in the eye's of the beholder. Anything can be viewed as paranormal, it's more like a term scientists come up with to mean 'we don't know'. Anything you don't understand could be viewed as paranormal.

jay, how are pyramids paranormal?

i don't believe a lot of paranormal stuff, like photos of ghosts and things, but some stories and things give me a shiver. at my school our boarding houses used to be proper homes years ago, and in the cellar you could see where the floor was worn away were people used to walk, that freaked me out, even though it's not paranormal, and there used to be a passageway that joined two of the houses, which has been bricked up, and that freaks me out. also, someone died of a brain tumor in the attic of one of the houses, again, not paranormal, but i always hated that house, never liked being there at night.

there are actually two ghost stories in my school, one of them i don't believe at all, that when you sleep in one of the rooms some nights you hear footsteps walking along, someone in high heels, and then when you look out there's no one there. i reckon that's rubbish, but one of my friends said that one night when she was alone in one of the houses she heard the piano downstairs playing and it carried on playing until she got downstairs and opened the door, then it stopped. im getting a shiver down my spine just thinking about it! don't think i really believe it, but still!

oo, and doing oeige boards (no idea how to spell it!) freaks me out to, although when im not doing one i don't believe it. i think it's the whole getting caught up in the excitement of doing it.

yes. it would take years, and 1000's of slaves, but they could. they built ramps of dirt and sand to dragged the blocks up as they got higher. there is archiological evidence to show how they did that (i think), what i don't get is stonehenge! how does that work? what is it for?

Stonehenge aka the standing stones can be veiw as paranormal. I think the question is. Why was it built. some think it was used to view the stars by the first astronmers(sp) others believe it is some sort of "Divice" (It put quote round this suggesstion) to contact Alian life. It could have been a temple to worship some sort of god.

same as UFO are they real? most people who have seen them are crackpots, insane or rednecks

(Watch this video of a "UFO" a group people in a helicopter over New York they are photographing the world trade center they spot somethinh near them it speeds of to the right then comes at them at speed which is most likely 0-15 mph in one second)

There are two theories as to what stonehenge is,
1. Stonehenge started out as some temple where ancient civilizations would perform their blood sacrafices (ew!) and the stones were tranported by raft and rolled to the location.
2. Stonehenge was created by aliens. No one knows how, or why, aliens would build the stonehenge, but hey, people would rather believe in something that was invented by Hollywood than cold hard facts.
Its easier to follow than to lead, and easier to believe what the media pumps into our heads than to believe what is right in front of our eyes, if only we would open them.

(reference to the theory of revolution) Bones will sing whatever song you want them to sing.
Scientists found a rock. On that rock were some wiggly markings. So those scientists took those markings and somehow came up with a the theory of a whole colony of alien earth worms that could fly. Someone else found one exactly like it in his backyard, and the markings were pine needles, but the scientists refused to believe it.
Okay we see something wrong with this?
People wont accept facts, whether it is evolution, stonehenge, aliens, whatever. We take small things like pine needles, or flashing lights, and turn it into some huge monstrosity, rather than accept it for what it really is. Pine needles and flashing lights.
We turn a draft of wind into a ghost. An airplane into an alien saucer.
Peope say that these things are unexplainable, but they are explainable. If we could just move on from thinking that everything is more than it appears.

Okay ya my endless ramblings are over.
