Caroline De Vinci 6♀

Caroline crept quietly in through the silent dungeons. Just the scuffling of her footsteps or the small squeaking of rats could be heard. She wrapped her Hogwarts robe around her tightly, trying to block the coldness that came from the damp, dark dungeons. 'Why do they insist on teaching Potion in the dungeons and housing students in the dungeons? Do they want to make their students sick?' she questioned, releasing an exasperated sigh. However, she soon arrived at a stone door. Looking left and right to see if anyone was there, she quickly pushed open the door and slammed it shut.

The dungeon room was just as dark and damp as the rest, but there were small torches lit along the wall and proud dirty stone statues of Salazar Slytherin beside each torch. There was a small group of stone steps that led to the middle, which had been lowered. The floor was made o what appeared to be black marbles. In the corners of the room was cobwebs created by the spiders that inhabited the castle. The ceiling was shaped like a dome or the bottom of a bowl if you flipped it upside down.

Caroline quickly rushed down towards the middle, casting fire on the cobwebs and then created a small magical fire in the middle of the room. She drew a circle to try and create a ward around the fire, things that she had learned in the Ancient Runes class before the castle was forced to empty. Slowly, the sight of her breath, brought out by the coldness, disappeared as the warmth started to fill the room. Her shivering quickly stopped and she loosened her robes. She looked around for an object to turn into a chair and found a stick. Concentrating hard, she attempted to turn the stick into a plain wooden chair. What came out was a crooked chair. Caroline groaned at the sight of the ugly chair. 'I need to work on my Transfiguration spells,' she promised herself. She took off her robe and laid it on the chair.

With that done, she sharply spun around and whipped out her wand. "Okay Caroline. Let's try the spell that sent people flying. First I need an animate object," she said to herself. She spotted a rat scuttering on the floor and a gleam appeared in her eyes. "Everte Statum!" she yelled, praying that the red sparks will hit the rat.

Iluvater Methedras had been scrounging the kitchens for extra tea-bags had decided to take the secret passage way which lead directly to the 7th floor the long, extremely steep, spiralling staircase was a nightmare on the knee should have lead him right outside his office, he was about half way you when disaster stuck. He had forgotten the trick step. The world vanishing beneath him, he found himself sliding down a long shut. Which he would he knew would lead him to the dungeons. ‘Oh, Merlin's most baggy Y-fronts’ he thought angrily, after all these years why had he forgotten the trick step. Coming to a halt at the bottom of the chute, he got up and made his way out of the secret opening which was behind the statue of a large snake. He looked around a spied a student whom he’d never seen before. Walking away from him he stayed concealed as she quietly opened the door and closed it with a ringing snap.

Curious, he pulled out a long role of parchment, tapped it with his wand and whispered. “Identify.” The silver snake of Slytherin melted into being and a name appeared in emerald green the paper ‘Caroline De Vinci‘ Now that he had a rough Idea on who it was, He was interested in why a student would go on there own into a unused room a dungeon of all places. He walked briskly up to the door and paused hand half raised to the great iron handle, he listened.

He listened to the sounds of movements, What on earth was happing in there? The crackling was what obviously sounded like a fire burning merrily, trying to hear over the softly roaring flames he could hear what sounded like muffled incantations and the barely auditable pop of transfigured objects.

Hoping against hope that the door his was opening didn’t make a sound, hoping that any creaking would be covered up by the jumping flames. He was just in time to see the girl scream the powerful disarming charm. ‘Enerte Statum.’ The spell hit the rat he followed it with his eyes are the rodent cart wheeled through the air. He spoke. “Quite Impressive.” He said softly. “You’ve been studying hard I see.” He continued as the rat scurried away. “Miss. De Vinci isn’t it?” He enquired now turning his attention to the Slytherin. “I’m curious though, why choose this dungeon for practice?”

(OOC: Poor sorry.)
