Transfiguration Teacher

Théodore walked into the classroom at a steady fast pace, which was known to those who knew him well as "happy pace." Feeling extremely well he strolled through the hall, alternating between the classroom and his office, while singing a high-spirited tune, a classical piece he must've heard recently.

Two days ago, he had decided it was time to start the classes, although he intended on procrastinating the decision as much as he could, since he never was a fan of crowded classrooms and joint classes. Lazily he flicked his wand and the notice appeared in all of the common rooms, which said:

"Dear students of all years,

Lesson 1 in Transfiguration will be held two days from now, at 11 o'clock, in the lovely classroom on the 2nd floor. Be there or be square.
-Professor Laroche
"

Yet he had no idea whatsoever what the lesson would be about and he wasn't particularly in the mood to think of it anyway. He finished his dinner and slowly returned to his office; the thought snuck up on him while he was rearranging the room, when he noticed a pair of purple Lennon-type glasses which were enchanted to transfigure on a set time. They were used as a part of his performance back in the days when he worked as a street performer; he usually enchanted them to change shape and colour every five minutes, and they were quite a hit among the muggles.

It was around 10 o'clock when he was all set, and Théo gazed out the window. The view from the 2nd floor wasn't quite impressive as he'd imagined it, but it should suffice. The sky was clear with just several white clouds and the sun was shining brightly. With a flick of his wand he opened one of the windows in the back just for the air to circulate. The cold, refreshing breeze soon filled his nostrils and made him feel even more energized and excited.

As he still had time to spare, Théodore sat in the comfortable leather armchair behind his desk, while conjuring a book and grabbing an apple which was sleeping among the bunch of things he had prepared on his desk. There were several animal figurines neatly arranged near the edge of his it, some jewelry boxes, pincushions and a bunch of other smaller objects. Taking a bite of the blood red apple, Théodore focused his brown eyes, which were hiding behind the purple coloured Lennon-glasses, on the book he was holding in his right hand. On his head a spotless black top-hat was set, and the sleeves of his teacher's robes were rolled just above his elbow.

The clock struck that it was ten minutes 'till 11, but it didn't disrupt him, completely concentrated on the book, Théo sat there and waited for the students to arrive.

[Since I'll be away for the weekend, you have enough time to post.

Will post when more students arrive. Whenever that happens.]

Sapphire walked down to Her class. She was early but still better early then late. Sapphire had loose robes and her hair in a braide carrying her books to her chest.

She entered the class room seeing the teacher was reading she entered qietly in the back. She to pulled out her book. It was a muggle fiction book which was real to her. She waited til’ he would see her while reading.

‘ Wondering in the darkness I went. It was raining and it was freezing out in the cold. We were trying to find the ghost of the 13th . this ghost died when she was 13 on the 13th. The girl died in a wreck near my house.’ Sapphire read. ‘ So I went to the place where it happed. Well there I saw a white figure. It was the ghost.’ Sapphire looked up again. None in there besides her and the teacher. ‘ The ghost was the girl. Since I can talk to them I wanted to help her’

The end of potions left Walter in a slightly distasteful mood, his feeling about the entire school slowly began to fall far off, nothing seemed very practical to him, nor did he even care to learn most of it, yet for the sake of it all he had to bare though it all for the next four years to reach some more interesting subjects and drop those that he could not stand anymore. His black hair had fallen from its pony tail, leaving nothing but a shaggy pile of black atop his scalp; making him look barbaric if it hadn’t been for the monocle still sitting in front of his right eye as it always had been. Walter sighed at the idea of his next class, Transfiguration; a class that seemed to be nothing, but impractical in his eyes and he really wondered how he would get through today’s class in one piece.

Walter walked along the second floor corridor slowly, admiring the unique arthropods and rather intriguing fungi along the castle walls on this particular floor that he had hardly used. Honestly though, he hardly went anywhere outside of the common room and his classes and this time would be nice to get out and see some nice things that could pull his attention away from his practices within his own little bubble. Walter strolled along in a semi interested and semi annoyed mood as he came closer and closer to the wooden door he began to loathe already; for behind it lie the class he wished nothing more than to disappear from and never take again. Yet, he knew it had been required and he’d have to stick through it until the very end…at least until the end of his fourth year here at Hogwarts.[/maroon]

Walter opened the door slowly, making sure no noise had been made as he peered in the see a male teacher sitting at his desk reading intently, followed by the sight of a young female, around the same age as him also reading nearby where he entered. Dornez wished to be as far from civilized beings as possible, finding a happy medium between the two in a side column, a middle row amongst the desks. Walter sat back slowly as he looked forward, wondering what the professor had in store for his students, yet cared not for the lesson in and of itself as his mind wandered off about the science behind the world of bacteria and how they could move without the use of external organs except for maybe one.
