Hey all im a n00b to =FAS= and a relative noob to aa, but i played some =fas= games and found they were really awesome. atm im trained in medic, advanced marksmanship, basic training, and wanna do airborne school. Ive passed the 250ft tower, but i keep failing the live jump. i try landing in the circle with the green smoke but i keep gettin told i gotta control my landing better. To complete it make sure you're right in the circle. When you're nearing the ground flare the chute and you'll complete the landing. |

My only advise would be to try to not make a lot of adjustments. and don't adjust too soon or over correct. You should only have to make two to get in the center of the circle. Don't forget to flare chute Good Luck....If you can be more specific we can give you better answers. Are you hitting the circle? are you landing too hard. PSO |

Your final jump is from an airplane flying at 1,250 feet. Furthermore, you must land within the designated circle to pass the mission. Although slightly more difficult than the training tower, it can be done on the first try with proper instruction. Oh, did I mention it was being done at night? Objectives: -Successfully parachute from a C-17 Globemaster -You must land within the circle to pass the mission Again, this jump can be done easily provided your timing isn't off. You start the mission looking out the door of the airplane. Pay attention to the lights near the doorway. They flash from red to yellow to green to signify when you are to jump. Once outside the aircraft move forward and left towards the drop zone. Your goal is to get as close to the green smoke as possible. All the meanwhile, you should be counting "one and two and three and four…" all the way up to twelve. When you hit twelve, you should flare your chute. This will slow you down some. By this time you should be facing forward. Flare it again about a second later to slow down even more and you should hit the ground. You will go into a roll and with any luck end up still inside the circle. Congratulations, you just earned your airborne wings! |
