Well Squad Member Buddies and Friends of =Fas=, here we are at the crossroads for Mac and Linux players. It may sound cliche, but it really has been fun. It's been more than fun for a lot of us, it's been an important piece of our life. You have to admit, for this being just a game, it has impacted all of us to some degree. I know that I have made some good friends, I have learned things and the world became a smaller place because of this game. Some of you will throw in the towel and find a new on-line haven, PC Users will of course move to the next release and continue. Mac and Linux will either stay on-line as long as possible or drop out. So be it.... So is this goodbye?....Not for me it isn't, I'll be here as long as I can... But regardless of what happens, if AA decided today to back off of there position and support the MAC/Linux Community there is still something that needs to be said.... Before we all start to pack our AA duffle bags and move on to other things, we need to stop and thank the man who has done so much for the MAC and Linux players......WOLFLNX......I salute you Boss. I suggest you all read the clan description that Wolf wrote and posted in the Clans section of the General Board. Take particular note of the last line and you will see how he feels about all of us. For you old =Fas= Dogs I know that I am preaching to the Choir, but for the rest of you, you may or may not realize that Wolf paid for the server, spent countless hours tweaking, fixing, restarting, registering, writing scripts, e-mailing, contacting, working with the admins, working with Moderators, twisting arms when needed, working with players to help increase honor, working on individual ini files, on and on and on....... and the result was that us MAC and Linux, as well as the faithful PC players had a really good server to go to and have fun. Bottom line, Wolflnx gave and gave and gave and then gave some more. If any of you can say that your AA gaming experience would have been just as satisfying without Wolf behind the scenes of =Fas=, running EVERYTHING.....I believe you are fooling yourself. Thank you WOLFLNX I appreciate everything you have done...you are a fine man....HOOAH!!! =Fas=PSO105 HOOOOAH!!!!! (If anyone actually read all of this, I'm impressed. Sorry it is so lengthy. I needed to say it...) |

I myself being Wolflnx son, have seen the clan grow into what it is now. I am deeply sadden to think this could be the end for mac on aa. Americas Army has made an impact on my life. There is not a day that goes buy that aa is not on my mind.I have also made several friends while being a part of =Fas=.Hopefully freindship that will last a lifetime. I was once part of =Fas=, however myself and wolf argued several times, because we both love this game with a passion. We still have a great relationship, I just thought it was better for myself to leave the clan.=Fas= still holds a place in my heart.Wolf and myself talk about aa almost everyday!!!That being said Wolf is dedicated to his mac buddies. GOOD JOB WOLF. Hopefully the band will stay together.

*Salutes Wolf* I have always been a very avid supporter and respectful member to Wolf. He has my highest respects for all the work he has put into this clan even when he could easily leave us behind to go on 2.6. i have made so many interesting and unique friends through this clan that I consider them to be brothers and will never forget any. I think about AA all the time and it is pretty much the only game I play so it becomes a part of my life rather than just a video game. I hope that nobody leaves =Fas= to follow new AA versions since it will be just like we are now since we are already behind and appearently here to stay. I have always felt right at home here and fully enjoy talking and playing with each one of you. I will always remain faithful to =Fas= no matter what new versions there are. Thanks everybody, but especially to Wolf and all of the other original Staff members for always being there for me and supporting me through everything. Semper Fi, =Fas=Lazerboy2000 HOOAH |

I'm a old Fas member and a PC user, i have always waited my Mac friends on the old version of AA until the new...will not release the new version of aa for Mac? I can only to be sorry for my friends, but, for me it isn't important...the thing more important is my friends and if they are stopped to the old version I will be with them, we can continue to play and have fun on 2.5. In these years I have known many good guys that now i consider really my Great Friends...but I understand that in this moment everyone must feel free to act as better it believes. TY Wolf for your passion and ty to all our great staff for the good job in these year. Finn is and it will be only a member of Fas Clan, the Best, my second Home, wherever this goes. I apologize for my English. Finn |

Fort apache squad will be around for a long time, at some point we are going to move on And stay update with the newest version if this is the end for the Mac & Linux players Since the version 2.5 came out lot of players have switch to PC to play Americas Army. I was shopping around for a new G5 and was about to order one when I read the Bad news. They are ways running windows on Linux or windows on a Mac. You will Need to search for this information. Probably a few of you will have no choice and, Shop around for a windows computer. Which are way much less expensive than a Mac. The server will be around as long the server provider let us keep it were ever we want. But if 2.7 Version comes out before the 2.6 Version comes out for Mac & Linux I wont Be able to upgrade to 2.6. I will need to upgrade to 2.6 before 2.7 comes out in order to Keep the Server on 2.6 until our clan member will decide what are their plans to continue Playing AA If we need to split and move forward. We always will be waiting for friends Left behind to catch up. Our forum will be our way of any communication. I’m not saying any goodbyes or anything else because we are still here………. We don't know what will really happen yet. Lets continue doing what we doing (Play the game) until that time comes!!!!! |

I bought a couple of PCs 6 weeks ago, both have SuSe Linux 10 on them. I have a licenced copy of Windows XP, because I'm part of the Microsoft equivalent of the ADC, as well as being in the actual ADC. I doubt I'll install Windows on these boxes though. When I'm at home, I don't want to put up with Windows. I get paid to put up with it at work. All that said, thanks to Wolf for the server. I know what it's like to be the head of a community organization from my experiences with another online game, and sometimes it's a real pain in the male reproductive orbs. Muchas gracias. |
