Hi dudes,
I hear there area number of photographers in the clan. Nice to know...:D

I am looking to purchase some software to archive and catalogue all my digiat assets, i.e. (photos, logos, layout files etc.)

I have nearly made the choice of going for "Iview", (recently bought by Microsoft), seems fast and powerful but wondered what the photographers among us use and what if any are your experiences?

I'd appreciate any feedback

Timid

Aperture by Apple all the way. It's vault feature and organization abilities are priceless.

I use it & love it.

Aperture is definitely one of the most convienient programs i use. Started off with just the basic, iPhoto etc. Then switched to just doing it myself. But using Aperture. Ohh Man, it's a freaking gem! i say fork out for Aperture dude, it's worth it. Plus native RAW format support. What more could you want?

Hey dudes,

Thx for the feedback. Does look good. I can imagine that a photographer has everything he needs. However I am a graphic/Multimedia designer and I need to get preview access to non photographic digiital assets as well. (i.e. AI, PSD, & PDF, INDD if possible).

But one of the main options I believe is missing from Aperture, is the abiliity to CATALOGUE, (make low res previews) of OFF-Line media i.e. Photo CDs and DVDs.

What are the option then?
