I posted a few weeks ago on reducing server slots As of March 15 26-server slots will be reduce to 20 slots None active administrator or administering other servers as administrators will be remove Might add new administrator someone active like mappou Tournament server it will be cancelled as off February 23rd last day this is already schedule I will add an experimental 10-honor slot server on 2.8, especially for the CoOps Map Which does Americas Army own tracker for this map track and can be use For other maps, some players preferred small server to play on I might pay for six month in advance (2.8) Is posted on staff for now, I might change my mind before march 15th Any comments or any others ideas are welcome |

i have no problem with reducing the server to 20 slots, although it's awefully nice to have 26 player games on fun maps. It'd be nice if we could keep the tournament server for a bit longer since we are doing very well in FTK and will most likely make it to the semifinals/finals, so it'd be nice to be able to use the server for matches. Will we just use our main server for matches if need be since its a large, lag free server? |

I like the 26 slots, but I don't pay for it, so I sure won't complain if it's reduced. I personally think we'd keep the server full more often if all the maps were unedited, and we could use expoitender to occasionally forceclass instead. I know it creates lag the more it's done, but better to reboot a full server than not reboot an empty one in my opinion. I have more thoughts, but work calls. :) |

x2 but it's up to you wolf; i rarely see the practice server getting used lately. maybe keep it at 26 and cut the other 2 servers? like i said, it's up to you.

The server has always been modified with SF weapons since version 2.10, nothing new and is been popular for this. I don’t need to reboot the server when changing from modified maps to regular maps since I run 2 folders, one for regular maps and a second folder for the SF modified map. Both folders are loaded when the server is started. When a PlayerAdmin change maps the server will look in to the SF folder first if It finds the map there it will get loaded if not it will check on the regular map folder And get loaded from there. Only I could do a change manually if I need to. I Will Ftp the server and rename the map I don’t want to be loaded with SF. I do this before changing maps. The only way I need to reboot the server to replace files if I use shotguns or pistol rockets Which I rarely use I don’t like to see PlayerAdmin using exploinder for weapons changes unless it would stay on one map only and is not to be use continuously change to different weapons Many times the PlayerAdmin forgets to turned off before they leave and when the server gets change to some of the maps it does not work for that map. For instance Hospital, Mountain ambush VIP gets The weapon given by exploinder Vip dies after shooting this weapon Woodland outpost no nades Fls, Tower, JRTC farm no parachutes I have seen many times a full server and when I look a few minutes later is complete empty. I said to my self “what the f**k” everyone got scare or what? and when I look For the problem is exploinder weapons changer has been left on Imagine some one making 1000 points in less than 5 minutes with top spot with this mistakes made Running scripts from your computer to the server-creates lag and sometimes-crashing server by rapidly executing a few scripts instead once per round Some times I hear complains of mods screwing the server weapons etc I have experimented this with the server without mods Is a version flaw? Every new version the old problems are fixed and new ones take place This is not the problem why the server is empty but it would give a noob and a experience player the same advantage in weapons this is why some don’t like SF. I could take all this off if that what it would make you all of you happy. |

Ok, so lots has happened in the 5 days i was away. My two cents. Wolf, it's your money, spend it how you will. I like 26 slots, but 2.5 is all but a ghost town these days, and a full server is a rare event. So 20 might mean a fuller server more often. As for admins, well again, wolf you pay for the server so it's your right to run it as you want. I think keeping PlayerAdmin's would be a good idea, just to mix it up in terms of maps if the servers dead. It's not hard to leave the settings as is. Not really worth the two cents, maybe one cent.
