I think the trailer will speak for itself.

And yes, it is real.

Some more movies involving Japanese school girls, awkward weapons and violence:

Battle Royale - 40 students are captured, dropped on an island and forced to kill each other until only one is left. They get assigned random weapons, which include knifes, bows & arrows, machine guns or even a simple lid. In case there is more than one left after 3 days, an explosive necklace around their neck will ensure no one survives.

Yo-Yo Girl Cop - Armed with a Yo-yo, an undercover agent dressed up as schoolgirl tries to find out what's behind all those student blowing themselves up with bombs they built according to instructions from a web site.

Stacy - Attack of the Schoolgirl Zombies - For some reason, schoolgirls around Japan fall into a state called Near Death Happiness, which makes them very cheerful for a couple of days and then turns them into zombies. There's only one thing that can be done about that: shred them to pieces, put them into garbage bags and wait for the Romero Rekill Squad to pick them up...

What kind of movies do you watch???? I'm kinda scared of you now.....haha. But really, those videos are just plain gory, grotesque, and unhuman. I find it incredible people actually have and want to make movies like that, let alone the people who want to watch them.

I feel so unappreciated. :crying:

You can probably skip Yo-yo girl cop and Stacy without missing much, but Battle Royal goes way beyond grotesque violence and campy trash. It's one of the most interesting movies I've seen from a psychological view because 40 people are put in a situation where they either have to kill or be killed. The makers came up with quite a few ideas how people might react to that, like cuddling up in ignorance, attempting to subvert the system in different ways, enjoying the "right" to kill, and more.

Of course, you can always go back to run off the mill Hollywood junk. :haha2:

Hrmmmmm........ I'll put that into consideration. When you phrase is that way, it does sound rather interesting. You think its perhaps worth a watch? Or have you not seen it?

Do you really think I'd recommend movies I haven't seen myself? Yeah, go for Battle Royale. Try to get the director's cut, it has a few rather weird (non violent) dream sequences added.

I digged around on youtube and found some trailers:

Battle royale (which sadly focuses on violence rather than weirdness)
Yo-yo girl cop
Stacy

Well, technically, you didn't recommend it until that post. You only said in the other post, "Here are some more wierd Japanese movies.... blah blah blah." I figured you just did some research to find some related movies to the Machine Girl one.

But ANYWAYS... :lolhit:

Ya, maybe I'll rent it tonight and watch it (because I won't be able to make practice :( )
