100712 SinChew-I News: Brian Joo's Press Conference in Malaysia Source: http://ent.sinchew-i.com/ichannel/21501 CAPTION: Fans invested heavily* to invite him to come to Malaysia Brian highly praises Malaysian girls [*Translator Note: I can't think of a better way to say "spent a lot of money"] Korean artist, Brian Joo (Joo Min Kyu), who debuted over ten years ago, thanks fans for investing so much to invite him to Malaysia to do promotions and meet his fans. Having a very good impression of Malaysia, he said that Malaysians are very friendly*. [*Translator Note: Hard to translate ÈËÇéζ (ren qing wei), which is a combination of being warm, friendly, kind, helpful, etc.] BRIAN: "First off, I just wanna say, 'Hello guys, I'm Brian Joo from Korea, errr... formerly* from the band, Fly to the Sky.' And ummm... My first impression on Malaysia... Ummm... It's very humid. But it's a good kind of humidity where it feels like I'm on a tropical island 'cause I personally love to be near the water and...and, you know, on the beach. And it kinda feels like I'm at the beach kinda here. And the women here are very sweet, you know, very sweet and kind. And I think that's the most important thing in life where you don't meet wild, crazy girls. Of course, I like all types of girls, but sweet girls are the ones that really capture my heart. So, ummm... Yes, Malaysian women are very sweet." [*Translator Note: Not sure why Brian said "formerly" when he has said Fly to the Sky has not broken up.] Brian, formerly* part of the R&B duo, Fly to the Sky, began releasing solo albums after Fly to the Sky disbanded in 2006*. The sales of his solo releases have been doing very well and he has carved a bright solo career with the records that he has been breaking. [*Translator Note: Explained above. || Incorrect information. Fly to the Sky did not break up in 2006. Their last album "Decennium" was released in February 2009.] CAPTION: First time meeting fans in Malaysia Brian looks forward to good interactions [with fans] Malaysia is Brian's first promotional stop this time. He revealed that initially, his fans had enthusiastically contacted him, which made him feel that this is an opportunity that he cannot miss. Hence, he immediately accepted the invitation to come to Malaysia to meet his fans. BRIAN: "Pretty much since it's my first time here in Malaysia, I wanted to...to not just do just a show on its own. But at the same time, let the people know who I am. You know, I want people to...to get to know me personally and to feel comfortable around me. So, for the fanmeeting, it's gonna be me...I'm gonna talk a little, play a little bit of games... Ummm... Sing some of the songs that I enjoy performing as well as the songs that the people in Malaysia--the fans in Malaysia--actually asked me to perform over the Internet. So, ummm... Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I just hope that everyone has a great time. It's gonna be sweet ballads and...and high-impact dance music. So, hope you guys have a great time and ummm... Yeah, I'm very excited." Having performed the song "In My Head" together with American artist, Jason Der¨¹lo, Brian, who is immensely popular in the Korean music industry, stated that as a result of that collaboration, he has built a great friendship with Jason. They are still keeping in touch with each other. Due to rehearsing for the showcase and ending up being late at the press conference, Brian warmly greeted the media that has been waiting for a long time with a bow and apologized upon entering. His pure and warm nature won him applause from those in attendance. BRIAN: "Already, this is Brian Joo giving y'all a good-bye kiss. Muah~ *fly kiss*" TRANSLATION CREDITS: Twitter @brianjoo110 + http://www.facebook.com/brianjoocanada Please DO NOT remove or change the credits if posting elsewhere.
