Now that Saddam is going to be put to death I am worried for Iraq. There is a high chance that there will a civil war. Since the Sunnis are for Saddam and the ****tes are celebrating Saddam's verdict. This is how it will probably affect us. There will probably be more anti-american insurgients thanks to the verdict and the Sunnis will now fight us even harder thanks to Saddam's verdict. This campaign is spiraling out of control and Bush isn't doing anything about it except putting more of our troops in Iraq. |

Yes, I totally agree with every single stament you have said. How exactly was Bush voted for president TWICE?! Really, one would think that most of our voters would be smarter than that..... I fear for the fate of our country. |

..when you are forced to choose between bad or worse, you tend to go with bad over worse..we haven't really had any good choices the last 2 elections, but I think Bush has done all anyone could do in the situation he landed in.. I mean really, give him SOME slack.. How would you like it if the second you landed in the presidents office you hit slamed by a terrorist attack? I dunno..everything is stuck between a rock and a hard place right now.. as for the whole "More Anti-America" stuff, like I basicaly said earlier.. Your d***ed if you dont, your d***ed if you do. Everyone is Anti America already anyway so it really doesn't matter. If we were to pull our troops out now their government would crumble and a new dictator would rise.. Just because it may mean we will be hated, possibly even more so, doesn't mean we shouldn't do it.. I think the majority are happy they are free, even if some wouldn't want to admit it. The campaigns, all as a whole, are a joke. For each political side and each candidate. Its inexcusable how pathetic our officials have become. Not to mention how immature their slogans are. "Vote for me cause he did this and this, wow hes such a meanie. I won't do that but once I get office you won't see me keeping my word either, heh heh. -smile-" Idk, I rather not think about it.. sometimes I dont even care. But, I guess that can be considered ignorance or denile..avoiding the problem. Idk..its an intresting subject. |

....Yes, what you have said is true, I suppose. It is just when you don't exactly like the guy, you always assume the worst and point out the worst things about him. Still, Bush annoys me greatly.... And yes, I know majority of the world hates us already... Yes, and I agree 100% on the last part. In fact, my favorite mythical beast is called, 'The Honest Politcian.'. Most people have to feed us some lies to get to the top these days...Again, sad really. Although, in way you have no other choice. It is pretty much a dog eat dog world out there. |

I don't know if it will be as cataclismic as you say it to be. But things won' be as smooth let's just say that. I mean the whole entire point of this thing Bush is doing is to make things somewhat better in the future for over there and not to have a dictator kill thousands of innocent people for no reason or even torture them. Sure there is people who pledge thier undieing alligence to Saddam but then again most people are like that untill the tide becomes to uneasy to surf. And as Mustang said, people already hate us, they are going to hate us and if they realize that we may have somewhat the "best" (you can put in your own little thought there) intensions to help them it's going to stay like that. And again Bush bashing is all fun and dandy to me, but you would think that we would have the right guy in the office since this happened, i mean John Kerry was somewhat of a joke and i plain forgot who he ran agaist last time. Sure he's faaarrr from perfect in running things but he does try to do something to better things. What's my big bone to pick with him is that he cheated to get into office the first time by stashing away ballots. And the way i see how people voted is "should we vote for Bush and keep on fighting this war on terrorism and winning somewhat, or should we vote for some new guy that might take all our soldiers out and just leave things alone as far as trying to sqaush terrorists over there?" which as Mustang pointed out is Bad or worse in a case of scenario. Final thought: Besides would you want a ruthless dictator running Iraq and killing off innocent inhabiters of his own Nation? Getting away with cold blooded murder and not atoneing for his own action?] |

On the whole Bush thing, I have something to say. This man, that you claim is a horrible president, has kept you safe from another 911 type of disaster for five years now. Its not like any of us would be doing better than him right now in the current situation. Like xGhostx said, cut the guy some slack. And with Saddam... Not too sure what to say. The guy SORT OF deserved it, though I was hoping he would just rot in a jail cell for the rest of his life. BTW, I'm not American, so I don't have the same point of view as you guys. As in, I dunno what it's like to have Bush as a president. |

I bring up the case of the carpenter and the chisel, if a carpenter makes an inferior chair or table he blames the chisel for not being good enough, when the truth is that he is the one controling it. Bush is very much the chisel, he is put into power by the american voting public, he doesnt really get much say in what goes on, he jus does hwt he s told by the government and the public, he is a figure head. I am not a bush supporter, but i do not blame him for the iraq conflict, i do not blame anyone for it, no-one wants it, but the government felt it nesseccery and they have gotten bogged down in it, it is an unstable thing, if more troops are sent, the american supporters will rely upon them more, however should they pull the troops out then the Sunnis will take over and another saddam will be put into power. It is a harsh world, it will always be. |
