Savor this thread, for it may be one of the only ones I make in this forum! :D Anyway....

http://www.ea.com/official/lordoftherings/...360/us/home.jsp

In March EA LA released The Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle-earth 2 for the PC!

While they were making that, another team took on a great challenge. Creating a fun RTS game for the Xbox 360. They decided to make BfME 2 for the 360 as well. While it lacks the playabiltiy, and options that the PC version gives it's still has great control! I'd go so far as to buy a 360 just to get this game. Unfortunatly they cost $400 so it won't be happening anytime soon unless by some miracle I win the lottery. And as I am a Nintendo fanboy this would be the only reason, oh and The White Council that will come out later....

Anyway once again (I'm so easily distracted!) The 360 version does not give you CP and resource multiplication options that the PC version has, and it also lacks the "Create- A- Hero." It has the best control for a RTS game yet. The secret, most RTS console games have tried to give mouse control on the control which simply, does not work. But EA decided to be different, they tried a way for the controller to do its job the way it wants to, instead of forcing it to behave like a mouse. Using simple controls you can easily select, move, and attack. While it does not give the same speed and precision as a mouse, its still great control!
The game offers the same factions and base building. The factions are Men of the West, Elves, Dwarves, Mordor, Isengard, and Goblins. You can build anywhere, and you can build your own walls the way you want them to be built. You can unlock heroes as you go through the game.
the online portion gives you four methods of play, sadly none are flat out skirmish. Although the method entitled "King of the Hill" is similar.
The game also offers naval combat. Meaning you send build fleets of ships and attack on the water.

I recommend this game to anyone who has a 360, even if you don't like Lord of the Rings....or RTS games for that matter. Because you should definatly try this game! So what are you waiting for? Click to buy it NOW!

If worried that you might not like it, you can try the demo from Xbox Live. Click to read more
