From IGN.com September 23, 2007 - Sad news. The Halo 3 Legendary Edition helmet, a replica of the head of Master Chief, won't fit on a cat as originally expected. This is indeed a tragic day for fans of dressing their cat or small dogs as their favorite videogame characters. The issue is not the size of the helmet, which itself could (we reason) fit a human with a small head, like IGN's Nate Ahearn. The trouble is that the inside of the helmet is not hollow. The plastic is molded with a rectangular opening to fit the special stand which holds the Legendary Edition game tin. To remove the molding requires a dismantling of the helmet and leaves a few areas bare. All in all, not worth the effort just to put it on your kitty. If you planned to purchase the Legendary Edition of Halo 3 this Tuesday specifically for the opportunity to put a helmet on your cat, be warned: The helmet is apparently meant for display only. Oh yeah, and there's some game or something that comes with the helmet, but it won't do your cat any good either. Source: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/822/822359p1.html |

I believe that it's slightly smaller than that (meaning someone with a relatively small head could wear it), but as it turns out the helmut is not hallow. |

Are people really so nerdy that they would buy a replica Master Chief helmet for their cat? Somebody should tell them that Master Chief doesn't have ten rolls of fat or bedsores grafted to his skin. |
