I hear he's so awesome that he gets free plane tickets for being so awesome. Hence why he show up all over the place. :P

First of all, KCS, I applaud your use of Deerling. Deerling and Sawsbuck are awesome.

I had my eye on it since the beginning. Among others. Unova has too many "I WANT" pokemon...

Currently screwing around in Lacunosa Town. This is my final team. The rest is history...

Samurott "Delphin" Calm Lv39 @Quick Claw
Surf
Aqua Jet
X-Scissor
Revenge
Actually not much to say about my starter, really. He sucks up hits pretty well. I want him to be a special attacker, so I'll be sure to teach him Ice Beam and Grass Knot when the TMs come by.

Scrafty "Abel" Adamant Lv40 (Moxie)@Wide Lens
Brick Break
Hi Jump Kick
Crunch
Strength
I just needed something with Moxie. Love that ability. I feel it's not necessary, though, since Hi Jump Kick pretty much destroys everything. (Except when it misses and takes away half his health.)

Flygon "Solith" Bashful Lv45 @Expert Belt
Dig
Fly
Rock Slide
Crunch
This is my flier. It was a hell of a time getting it to evolve, but it was worth it in the end. Drayden, I'm coming for you.

Sawsbuck "Persephone" Impish Lv40 (Sap Sipper) @Shell Bell
Return
Jump Kick
Horn Leech
Cut
My fast attacker. Horn Leech is used in conjunction with Shell Bell. Much fun is had.

Galvantula "Arachete" Bashful Lv37 (Compoundeyes)
Volt Switch
Signal Beam
Electroweb
Thunder Wave
My other fast attacker...this is another one that I wanted to use ever since the first games were announced. This one is still yet to realize its potential. That will happen when it learns Thunder. It serves as my Thunder Waver for legendaries.

Grumpig "Psy" Modest Lv38 (Own Tempo) @Power Lens
Zen Headbutt
Power Gem
Charge Beam
Rest
Oppan Grumnam Style!!! I originally wanted to evolve an Espeon from Fennel's Dream World Eevee, but it turns out that you don't get that until after the Elite Four. So I settled for this as a psychic type. [size0]I wanted one with Thick Fat, but that nature was too good to pass up.

On the subject of character cameos, they need to bring Miror B. back.

1: Though I don't know exactly when it's available, I think I just got Grass Knot recently, ie. post League, so you may have to wait a while for that.
2: Shed Skin's a better ability on Scrafty to be honest. Sure, Moxie is fine, but as you noted, it doesn't do much good when you can already murder everything in the face (excluding, of course, Pokemon like Klinklang who lack faces, which are instead murdered in the face-analogue), where as Shed Skin can save your, well, skin, when a faster pokemon gets of Toxic before it can be murdered in the face/face-analogue.
3: Discharge would probably be better than Thunder. Not as much power, but way more accurate & three times as likely to paralyze.
Monsters:
Platty
Bomb-Blaster Swarm (100)

Minithulu Troop (6: Alfred, Abbs, J, Bob, Todd, & the Doctor)

1: And Ice Beam is in Giant Chasm.
2: I can second that. Having just gone through White Treehallow, where you can't use items, it freaking sucks if you get hit with a status effect.
3: Clocky, you seem to be forgetting that it has Compoundeyes, which raises accuracy. Thunder + Coumpoundeyes Galvantula is a combo I've been dying to use for ages now.

1: In the debris no less, I believe, where it's inaccessible until after defeating Team Plasma.
2: Ah, so that's the catch. I knew that challenge seemed too easy :fistshake:
3: I thought that it just prevented accuracy loss? I suppose that does somewhat mitigate the difference, but I'd still rather have the 30% chance of paralysis.

1: Actually, it was at the end of the Surf-spot in the cave, if I recall.
3: To quote Bulbipedia:
Quote:

Compoundeyes raises accuracy by 30% of a move's original accuracy in battles. This means that Thunder, for example, has 91% accuracy as opposed to the usual 70% (70 x 1.3 = 91%). A move with a theoretical accuracy of 77% or higher will have its accuracy set to 100% (77% x 1.3 = 100.1%).

Also, if the Pokemon with Compoundeyes is in the lead of your party, even if fainted, it increases the chances of wild 'mons holding items. Not that such an effect is overly useful in most situations.

Also, the chance of inflict paralysis is no excuse. From what I'm reading, the chance of Thunder inflicting it is also 30%.

Now to add everything together in the combo, we've got an electric type move with 120 base damage and STAB, with 91% accuracy, that can hit flying/bouncing mons, is guaranteed to hit regardless of stats if it's raining, and has a 30% chance to paralyse anything that survives it. Then factor in that Galvantula's two best stats are Speed and Sp. Attack and... yeah.

3: I can attest to Galvantula's awesomeness from Pokemon White. However, another Pokemon has way more awesome to it: Darmanitan. Used it during my White playthrough, decided to use it again during White 2 (as I caught N's Darumaka in a very grueling battle, where he would not be caught until the sandstorm whittled him down to the red). I admire its brute physical power, only overthrown by Volcarona's brute special power.

And thanks to some friends who had Black 2, I was able to play through the second gym onwards in Challenge Mode. Pretty normal for the second and third gyms (I presume it applies to the first as well), but fourth gym onwards is very irritating. By the fifth gym onwards, the level gap between wild and Trainer Pokemon is rather immense. It's absolutely awesome.

My team:

Samurott "Ocelot" (Lonely)
Leavanny "Mantis" (Lonely)
Darmanitan (Naive)
Lucario "Aria" (Jolly)
Beheeyem "Joy" (Timid)
Archeops "Archer" (Adamant)

Yeah, I'm a stickler for natures. ^_^

3: From what I read, Thunder has 10%, Discharge has 30%.

@Clocky:
ZD1: Yup, it's friggin' awesome. Volcarona only trumps it because of Quiver Dance, which allows it to sweep in competitive battles when the opponent switches out in fear. Love it.
ZD2: Yeah, I started off with Ocelot, then decided to make half of my team have nicknames based off of Metal Gear Solid references. I have the first three games and Peace Walker on the PS3 (downloaded the first and bought the HD collection). Unfortunately, I absolutely fail at the first one, and I never got around to finishing the others.
