Sorry if it sounded like I was mad, I did not mean to. Yes I did mean toung, I'm typing in between homework so I'm kinda hurrying. On both of those it's hard to say survival. For them most part evolution isn't something you choose. It choose you. All it is is adaption and natural selection, (as well as God's handiwork) over a very long time. I'm not sure what chemicals it would need, probably a sulfer of a sort, and I was meaning the red or white blood cells, something traveling in the blood, needed it to function and got an added benefit from having it. That way the major adjustments are those cells and the spleen. A serrated, and eventually a second jaw would help wouldn't it? It could help hold the prey or attacker down while the claws ripped it to shreds. Who knows, it might just be serrated like a cat's but sharper and elastic like a frog's. Then it could impale it's prey. I only used hermanglers as an example because not everyone knows what lightning beetles (the ones in PWars) are and they are very similar. But if I remember I said it was plausible just not likely. None of this is likely really, but then again it's kinda a wonder with the darwin finches are. Fifteen species all from one. I regret saying that but I will not remove it in the edit. Sorry if I'm being a jerk by the way. |

Of course you don't choose how to evolve, but it needs to have a point without being incredibly difficult when other means are much simplier for the forces of nature to craft.
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure but I think sulfer might be poisonous in large amounts. Again, I have no idea, but I don't think organisms use sulfer in natural processes in any way.
An inner mouth would likely get in the way, especially if it was holding down prey. Why would you need a second mouth to hold down prey when the first mouth works just as well? And imagine if the animals accidentaly bit it off while eating. It'd be severely handicaped.
It's Hermagler, and I don't care that you used him as an example, just that you had no facts about its powers before making wild accusations. Lasers. Hmpf. And NONE of this is likely at an evolutionary standpoint. |

As far as the second mouth goes, instead of that, why not use a radula, it's used as a mouth because helps in the cutting and slicing of food, plus it's compltetly plausible as it exists in present-day mollusks. But sumetimes evolution can ge random, I heard that on a show can't remember the name of that. |

Exactly, that's why I think xenomorph DNA should be allowed. Besides, the AVP books hint the the yamatajo, predators, genetically engineered them to some extent. To me as long as it can be reasonably explained, no dark energy or plasma beams guys, then it's fine. On another note, if it bothers you that I talked about God, why do you care. According to you Athiests there is nothing. If that's the truth, let me believe in something in vain. |

THAT is exactly the point I'm trying to make, Saidi. Why use movie monster DNA, when you can get the exact same effect with regular DNA. Xeno DNA is overkill. If we allow this to slip through, what movie baddie is next? Godzilla? Cloverfield? |

It was the space jockeys. The acid is a defensive fluid in the skin, not actual blood. The second mouth can be a modified tongue. |

ON what Haghog said, loved the zombie bit, I've never quite understood why it's said aliens have to live in earth conditions. While typically I always make mine kinda earth like in the fact of needing water, oxygen, and similar climates I don't believe they'd all live like that. In PWars there after a metal, chemical, whatever thing not on Earth which is kinda similar. What if they have a substitute to water, maybe something we don't know about. Maybe they don't have thirst, maybe they don't have hunger. I've also always kinda wondered about genders. In the Genome Inc book I was writing, the blood born parasites had thirteen genders. So yeah, just something to think about when it comes to aliens and mutants. Doesn't really have to be like anything on earth (And really on that note you could probably make animals bigger than the size cap it you did it write). |
