Saidy, you do know AVPE sucked donkey bollocks don't you?

OM, the main problem you seem to be having with this game is wheter it is completely canon or not. AVP is famous for it's shittacular nonlinnear ever shifting paradigm of a universe. The truth is that every person who tackles this title has artistic license to the highest degree. The only things set in stone, are the appearences of the key characters (e.g Preds and Xenos.) Thus Rebellion has taken said artistic liscense and produced as canon a title as possible while still remaining original, and serving the limits of console controls. You really cannot have it all when it comes to games, sometimes you need to go with the flow and enjoy the gameplay. Remember, this isn't a movie or comic. It's entertainment value lies in the interactivity....

I will say a good thing about it (and this is just from what I've seen since it doesn't seem to work on my computer), I like what they did with the smartgun (it still tracks but you have to aim it, making it a lot less cheap), I like the sprint feature on the marines, and I like that the marines can shove people back. It looks pretty at least.

But somethings are just bad in any seance, an example is no crouch. I like to be able to hide behind cover and to also get improved accuracy by crouching. Plus in team games if you have a lot of people, if the guys in front crouch the guys in the back don't get friendly fire. Why can't I see my ping, why can't I disable motion blur. Why is it plain and simply a console port!
Friendly fire is only a problem when the option is turned on in the menu, therefore crouching is unnecessary, as well as the accuracy thing is not particularly convinient. If you stop to crouch, the tiny bit of accuracy you get from an already very accurate weapon would not be worth the tail that would peirce your sternum afterwards. Motion blur only occurs during a sprint, or focus mode on the pred and xeno, and the ping is only due to this being a demo me thinks.

And some things go against AVP. Where are my different kinds of alien, marine, predator? Where is my leap, and my predtech vision (or my goggles and nightvision), where is my minnigun (then again that could easily just be the demo)?
Adressed below

THIS GAME RUPTURED MY CENTRAL CORTEX AND SPLIT BOTH MY KIDNEYS IN TWO BECAUSE ALL IN ALL I'D HAVE TO GIVE IT A 4.0 OUT OF 10.0!!!

Ill have you know that most of the people complaining on you're link didn't know what they were talking about. Crouch just wouldn't fit on the controllers becuase it had already been packed with so many other things. This is an example of caurse. But a lot of the complaintss were not well founded at all. The Pulse rifle only lost accuracy when firing for long periods of time, aliens could indeed attack from ceilings and very often do, aliens also move very fluidly and serpentine at some times, and yes there is a great deal of whoring the stealth kills, but that happens in every game ( the key is to be aware of your surroundings at all times so noone can sneak up to you.)

The game had to sacrifice quite a few other MINOR details,(crouching, and classes) for the sake of fluidity and balence. The game is balenced beautifully, with a brilliant combat system. Things such as other aliens species and large amounts of weapons just over complicate an already amazingly difficult task. If the balencing was even the tinniest bit off, then The entire game would have suffered. This also ment that little cannon things such as the alien life cycle and predator technologies had to be excluded.

The problem is, that though the PC has room for a vast amount of gameplay options, the console doesn't. This issn't saying that this is a console port, but the PC version shouldn't play So enormously different from the console version that they could be classified as two different games. And anyway, I prefer the console, becuase the price of a graphics card that could play this game is enourmous, and the controller makes it much easier to play.

Crouch should be in there. From memory, I was looking at the controls for the PS3 whilst loading, and their were a few leftover buttons-mmhhmm.

OM, from memory, their is no Minigun in Alien and Aliens (and I doubt it in Predator), and so if thats the case, there's no need for a Minigun. Remember these movies, and these movies only.
Classes aren't needed. All Aliens are the same apart from the Queen from memory, and Marines can outfit themselves.
Predtech vision IS in the full version.

The Trophy Kills will probably have to be patched-Stuff like that could break the game otherwise.

PredTech is ESSENTIAL. I've played enough games of just the DEMO of AVP2 against friends. Whoever played as the Predator needed to use the vision modes to survive. They'd die very quickly otherwise.
From memory, the Alien Lifecycle annoyed a lot of people due to the little Facehugger buggers.

Walrus, OM. Careful. Be veeeery careful.

Well everyone is entitled to there own opinion. I like AVP 2, you may or may not, I despise AVP (3), you may or may not, and there no point fighting over it.

Anyway, I never could get it to work, and I really don't feel like reviewing stuff so I'll close this.

Hmm. That seems a little convenient. Review and the game you hate, and then decide to discontinue reviewing stuff. Very convenient indeed. But what YOU need to realise OM, whether you like this game or not, that it is the demo version. Nothing cool is ever included in the demo.

I didn't mean it like that, yes it was a little selfish and me being a jerk that was over reacting.

Now I could say something about the demo thing, but that would be cause for another argument in an already closed topic, and again that is you opinion and everyone is entitled to there own.

Sorry for being annoying everyone.
