Name: Torvofelis (Savage Cat) Height: 4 feet Length: 6 feet Weight: 160 pounds Number of creatures: 6 Base DNA: Jaguar, Chimpanzee, Flying Squirrel, Giant Freshwater Stingray, Garfish, Abilities: Strong bite, sharp claws, powerful tail capable of piercing bones, toxic mucus on tail, good hearing and smell, night vision, fast, agile, good at climbing and treetop travel, can glide through the air for around 100 feet, can stand upright for short periods, Weaknesses: Underside is not protected by scales. Eyes can’t adjust quickly to sudden changes in amount of light. High-pitched sounds irritate them. Defenses: Speed, Agility, Garfish Scales, Stingray Tail, Special Attributes: Very smart. They are capable of making weapons and tools, although these are typically not used in battle for various reasons. Instead their brains are often put to work strategizing and taking down prey with military precision. They also seem to have some sort of basic language. Their tails are coved in a sheath of toxic mucus like that of the Giant Freshwater Stingray. Description: Torvofelis have the head of a jaguar as well as a jaguar’s neck and body. Their limbs seem to be those of a chimpanzee, but more muscular and proportioned like a jaguars’. Their feet appear similar to a jaruars’, but with the addition of a thumb-like digit. Also, stretched between its front and hind limbs are a flight membrane like that of a flying squirrel. Their tail is that of a giant freshwater stingray. Although not visible due to their fur, their sides and on top of their bodies are covered in garfish scales. LOGI: Trovofelis are jungle dwelling creatures that live in decently sized packs. These packs build and live in tree-top camps which they fortify by various means thanks to their intelligence. Packs typically stay in one place and only move when they need to. This means that more than a few camps have built up extremely sturdy defenses over time. In these camps they also keep weapons, specifically spears, which they use to defend their camp if attacked. However, these weapons are rarely used outside of the camp when hunting. The reason for this is that Torvofelis move mostly on all fours, which makes carrying a weapon like a spear a difficult task. Aside from that, Torvofelis are naturally born with an array of their own weapons. As such they have little reason or need for hauling around the likes of a spear in the first place. Each pack is normally led by an alpha male and female who oversee most everything the group does. Each day they will assign members of the pack to various duties, such as hunting and territory patrols. A patrol will usually only consist of around six members, one of which will be appointed leader of the patrol. The remaining felines in the camp that aren’t assigned to patrols are left to do work around the camp, which ranges from building to teaching the packs’ kittens. When on the hunt, a patrol of Torvofelis will move swiftly and silently until they find prey. Once they do, they are quick to put together an attack plan and set it into motion. With typically quickly-made and strategic strikes they can often take down their prey with ease. Even without ideal conditions or pre-planning though they can still prove to be a deadly force. Because of their lifestyles in the jungle canopy, they are often known to clash with Pssitamimus who inhabit the same habitat. Most view this as a battle of brains versus brawn, or technology versus nature. One side is smaller and relies mostly on the weapons they make, while the other is bigger and relies on their natural abilities. Other: Well, here it is. They started off using spears, but the more I worked on them the less tool-user and more animal they became. Still, I’m very happy with the final result. Picture coming sometime soon hopefully, and as soon as it comes, I do believe a battle with the Pssitamimus is in order. ![]() Picture by GuineaDilong |
