Name: Ceratodactylus Height: 13 ft Length: 28ft Wingspan: 55ft Weight: 1,750 lbs Base DNA: Pteranodon, Ceratosaurus, Nothronychus, Deinonychus Abilities: Flesh-Ripping bite, Powerful forearms armed with claws, powerful legs with deadly talons, intelligent enough to use basic strategies such as attacking vulnerable points, fast flyer and runner. Weaknesses: Rather fragile bones in comparison to similarly sized creatures. Runs poorly on uneven surfaces such as hills or on sand or gravel. Defenses: Thick scales, agility and speed, can lose large amounts of blood without much affect. Special Attributes: Ceratodactylus is very intelligent for a dinosaur, capable of using strategy comparable to that of a wolf. It can identify weak points on it's enemies or prey, and often aims it's most devastating attacks for the throat, belly, or other vulnerable areas. It also knows to retreat if a fight is very out of it's favour. Description: A slenderly built theropod similar in body shape to a Ceratosaurus. It has the head of a Ceratosaurus, as well as it's torso and tail. It has the forearms of a Nothronychus, and the legs of a Deinonychus. It has a large pair of wings, that of a pteranodon, sprouting from it's shoulders which enable it to fly for periods of ten minutes at a time. Ceratodactylus have scutes along their back that provide moderate protection from slashing or cutting attacks. ![]() ![]() LOGI Info: Ceratodactylus are solitary predators, often feeding of prey of equal size. They excel at combat, and often fight territory battles with others of their kind which result in the death of the loser. They are very territorial, doing everything possible to make sure that they are the only large carnivore in their territory. They occasionally join together in groups to bring down large prey. Single Ceratodactylus are masters of ambush, often swooping down from seemingly nowhere and sinking it's teeth into it's prey's throat. A healthy adult can fly at 40mph for about ten minutes, and run at a similar speed for hours at a time. Ceratodactylus often hunt other predators, usually ones of smaller size to avoid injury. It is not unheard of for a bull Ceratodactylus to kill and devour entire packs of African Hunting Dogs which invade it's territory. Females lay clutches of eight eggs at a time, and lay two clutches per year. Females are two feet taller than males, and six feet longer, they are more slender in build, however. The males are more deeply built. Pairs or Trios of adolescent males which hunt together are rare, but too exist. In these packs, the largest individual bullies the others. Fights erupt often, and the packs usually end up splitting up once they reach sexual maturity. Other: |
