Name: Sand Shark

Pack size: 6

Height: 1 foot

Length: 5 and a half feet

Weight: 90 pounds.

Base DNA: Tiger Shark, Sandfish, Dolphin

Abilities: Tearing teeth, a slap from the tail can kill a lion, speed, pack, iron-hard head.

Weaknesses: Small, skin can tear easily, while aboveground they cannot move besides digging back under.

Defences: Speed, pack, armoured head.

Special Attributes: Lungs (no gills), communication through echolocation, which travels well underground, and since their tunnels usually interconnect whilst 'swimming', this works even better. Its’ teeth can tear into almost anything.

Description: A shark that hunts in packs of 6. It has an armoured head, ideal for swimming through the earth of swamps, rainforests, deserts, and if they happen to hit the ocean, in the water. But usually they return to the land after a minute. When searching for them, look at the ground for a trail of risen dirt, showing the trail of a Sand Shark at the surface.

LOGI Info: A mother Sand Shark will dig a nice hollow near a pond using her long snout, scraping away all the dirt so she can lay an egg sack. The egg sack holds three pups inside it, giving them nourishment until they hatch, bursting out of the sack and hitting the dirt immediately, zipping under the ground before you can say ‘Sand Shark’. The young will feed on insects and small lizards and snakes. As soon as they are two years old, they are fully grown and ready to mate. When they do, they need to be quick before their heads get ripped off. When hunting, Sand Sharks listen for vibrations in the ground, and then the pack attacks, leaping from the ground and ripping chunks of flesh from the beast, and then quickly burrow back under. They are amphibious, as happy in the water as underground, and they usually hunt small fish or even an otter when in the water. But usually, they stay underground. Sometimes, whether in the water or underground, they gather enough speed that they shoot out of the ground/water and go a good twenty feet up before falling back to earth, bracing for impact with that heavily armoured head. Then, they dig back underground/go back underwater. They use this technique to hunt birds. When holding prey, the Sand Shark can still dig, but with slight difficulty. When aboveground, the Sand Shark is fairly vulnerable, only being able to flop like a fish or dive back under.

Other: Since they live underground, Sand Sharks may very well have epic battles with the Hill Turtles, speed verses tank.

Today, I'm going to be takin' these four fine folks into the biggest, meanest dungeon in the Forgotten Realms, and I don't know if they're gonna survive.
...But I'm cool with that.
