Name: Tyrager

Height: 10 feet

Length: 30 feet

Weight: 2.5 tonnes

Base DNA: Tyrannosaurus, Chimpanzee, Spinosaurus, Velociraptor.

Abilities: Intelligence, strength, long arms with opposable thumbs, claws, tail.

Weaknesses: Jaws aren’t very strong, more like Spinosaurus strength than T-rex, many blood vessels at the base of the tail and arms.

Defences: Strength, pebbly scales.

Special Attributes: This creature is incredibly intelligent, and is opportunistic with its weapons. It will take a piece of scrap, such as an old can, and use it as a weapon. One was even seen beating Hyenas away with a rolled up newspaper. It also has spinosaur claws that are more like a Velociraptor’s toe claws that allow it to cut into other monsters.

Description: A small T-rex with long Spinosaurus arms, with three fingers and a thumb, each tipped by a Spinosaur claw. It has a light coating of feathers down its’ neck and back, and a large crest of feathers on its’ head. It has very raptor-like feet, with the massive toe claw on each foot. It also has two sails, one on the tip of its’ tail and one that goes from halfway down its’ back to halfway along its’ tail.
Posted Image

LOGI Info: This powerful beast lives in small colonies of around twelve, bringing down game and
pulling it back to a ‘camp’, where they set up nests to rest for the night. Then after they have slept, they move on to another spot. Females usually lay 1-2 eggs, which hatch out fast, only taking around 2 weeks. When the young hatch, they are blind and helpless, with no feathers, claws, sails, or teeth, which grow in around two months of age. Around that time, they are taught to hunt, and shown how to make weapons from ordinary items. Soon, the babies are forced to go and find their own food and colonies.

Other: These creatures that battle are usually loners that pick up sticks and other objects to beat creatures to death before eating them.

Yes it would.

I am tired of telling people this (nothing against you, GD, but I do this a lot), Feathers are insulators. They do not heat up. They keep the body a constant temperature, so if its cold the animal is warm, if its hot the animal is cool. It would be beneficial to keep feathers, hence why ostriches are huge fluff balls.

And not direct evidence, but all their relatives, Dilong, Yutyrannus, Gorgosaurus, ect. had feathers, so its safe to say Tyrannosaurus likely did.

You have a good point, but as an animal increases in size it has less need for any insulatory material like feathers.

And this creature also is not just Tyrannosaurus, it also has the known to be unfeathered chimp & essentially confirmed to be unfeathered spino. Furthermore, it is a distinct creature designed by SD, & if he wants it to be so feathered, he can have it be so feathered. And FINALLY, T-rex may have had feathers, but it is not confirmed, & there is no reason to treat it as such.

Dinosaurs were not warm blooded, so they would require more insulation than a mammal of the same size, but they also weren't cold blooded either. Plus a Tyrannosaurus the size of an elephant would have much more surface area because of its tail and long legs, so would need more insulation.

Also, we should treat Tyrannosaurus as feathered for the same reasons that we consider Gastornis feathered, but there's no evidence of feathers on Gastornis.

Also, we should treat Tyrannosaurus as feathered for the same reasons that we consider Gastornis feathered, but there's no evidence of feathers on Gastornis.

First of all, there is evidence suggesting Dinosaurs actually WHERE warm blooded.
Second of all, how can you not be warm blooded, while not being cold blooded at the same time?
Third of all, there's a difference. There's no evidence AGAINST Gastornis having feathers. At the other hand, we've found skin impressions of Tyrannosaurus. Gues what, no sighs of feathers, just scales. Of course, that doesn't mean T.rex didn't have ANY feathers, but it does suggest it didn't have much, if any.
Fourth of all, don't act like your opinion is a fact. Dinosaurs not being warm blooded is an opinion, not a fact. T.rex having feathers is an opinion, not a fact.
Fifth of all, as Clocky explained, it doesn't matter if T.rex had feathers or not. SD is using the DNA of one creature of which we know for certain did not have any feathers (Spinosaurus likely didn't have feathers either, but we can't be sure.). If SD wants feathers, he can grab his magical want and give his creature feathers. If he doesn't, he can grab his scissors and cut them all of.

Or he can just use genetic manipulation.

Just as we have no proof that Tyrannosaurus had feathers, we have no proof that dinosaurs were warm or cold blooded. We do have proof that neither of those problems matter at all for this creature.

DG, its in between. And we can prove it with Thescelosaurus, as we have a preserved heart and aorta of it. Also, the scales your referring to are on the legs, which are obviously going to be featherless. Your point is invalid.

Also it does matter because its a Tyrannosaur body but its featherless.

Indeed.

Regardless of who's right or wrong, SD has the right to make his creature look how he wants it to as long as it's within the rules, and this topic is not the place for a debate on whether or not Tyrannosaurus was feathered or not. Simple as that.
