Well... what much is there for me to say? I haven't really touched my actual cards in a while. Most of my playing in recent times has been on the yearly World Championship DS games. Of course, the fact that I never even saw the one for last year, and from what I heard its for the 3DS anyway, means I haven't really played much over the last year.

The two decks I used primarily the last time I played were a spell counter deck and a VWXYZ/Cyberdragon deck. Both of them were nice, but I must say I liked the later of the two in particular.

I've been using an altered "Dinosaur's Rage" deck that I call Walk the Dinosaur. Not terribly great, but I do enjoy it.

Monsters-
Babycerasaurus
Black Stego
Black Tyranno
Frostosaurus
Gilasaurus
Hydrogeddon (x3)
Hyper Hammerhead
Kabazauls
Mad Sword Beast (x2)
Miracle Jurassic Egg
Oxygeddon (x2)
Sabersaurus (x2)
Super Conductor Tyranno
Tyranno Infinity
Ultimate Tyranno

Spells-
Big Evolution Pill
Dian Keto the Cure Master
Fissure
Inferno Tempest
Jurassic World
Lightning Vortex
Monster Reborn
Nobleman of Crossout
Ookazi
Poison of the Old Man
Raise Body Heat
Tail Swipe

Traps-
Cyber Summon Blaster
Draining Shield
Fossil Excavation
Hunting Instinct
Sakuretsu Armor
Seismic Shockwave
Survival Instinct
Waboku

Forms a rather nice dichotomy, considering my primary opponent uses an Ancient Gear deck.

If I didn't have FF:C in my DS right now I'd post my decks too. I probably will later. From what I can recall of those cards though, I'd say that is a decent deck. Not great, as you said, but indeed decent.

On a side note, my VWXYZ/Cyberdragon deck would be downright brutal against an Ancient Gear deck. It is against other machine decks in general, actually.

This is very similar to a deck I used to run, except I had 3 Gilasaurs and a Water dragon to accentuate the Hydrogeddon and Oxygeddons. THe Gilasaurus's Special summon ability is to good to pass up when it comes to getting Black Tyranno or Ultimate Tyranno out early.

I am amazed that it has been so long since I've last played, and yet I still remember exactly what those cards do and that you are indeed very much correct. XD

Hmm, now I want to go dig out the ol' stuff and play a few games. I mean I still never posted my decks, so there we go! Perfect excuse!

I have always wanted a Water Dragon, if I had one it absolutely would have been in that deck.

As for Gilasaurus, I removed extras from the deck because of how it helps the enemy, so it's really only safe on the first few turns.

Nowadays I don't play anymore because the only people I did play with were people I've hardly hung out with since Sophomore year, but I've been had a half-made deck lying around that I'd like to complete if I get the opportunitymoney to do so. A half Des marsupial, half Earthbound Immortal deck with a few really strong monsters that it tries to field as safely as possible; next time I'm on the computer I'll post the card list I have for it that includes all the stuff I want to put in but don't have yet.

Welp, here's my main deck that I use(d) in the WC 2011 video game.

Chimeratech VWXYZ

V-Tiger Jet x1
X-Head Cannon x3
Blue Thunder T-45
Cyber Dragon x3
Cyber Dragon Zwei x2
Honest x2
Shining Angel x3
W-Wing Catapult x1
Y-Dragon Head x2
Z-Metal Tank x2

Burden of the Mighty x1
Frontline Base x1
Limiter Removal x1
Luminous Spark x1
Machina Armored Unit x1
Monster Reborn x1
Mystical Space Typhoon x1
Pot of Avarice x2
Swords of Revealing Light x1

Bottomless Trap Hole x2
Dark Bribe x1
DNA Surgery x3
Dust Tornado x2
Mirror Force x1
Scrap-Iron Scarecrow x1

Chimeratech Fortress Dragon x3
VW-Tiger Catapult x2
VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon x1
XY-Dragon Cannon x1
XYZ-Dragon Cannon x2
XZ-Tank Cannon x2
YZ-Tank Dragon x2

Now, I'm not going to lie and say this deck is perfect, but it is possibly the best deck I've ever made. It has so much synergy going on for it, taking advantage of cards that support light-attribute monsters, machine-type monsters, union monsters, the Cyber Dragons, and the VWXYZ series of monsters. As it might not be obvious to anyone who isn't familar with the monster, the Chimeratech Fortress Dragon and DNA Surgery are the signature aces of this deck; the fact that the VWXYZ monsters fit in perfectly is just an icing on the cake. To quote the effect and abilities of the CFD;

Machine/Fusion/Effect DARK 8-Star
ATK/0 DEF/0
"Cyber Dragon" + 1 or more Machine-Type monsters.

This monster cannot be used as a fusion material monster. You can only Special Summon this card from your Extra Deck by sending the above cards from either side of the field to the Graveyard. (You do not use "Polymerization".) The original ATK of this card is equal to 100 x the number of Fusion Material Monsters used to Special Summon it.

To explain what that amounts to in practice; with DNA Surgery activated and set to "Machine-type", all monsters on the field become Machine-types. So all I need to do is either summon an actual Cyber Dragon (which can be done as a special summon without tribute if my opponent has monsters on the field but I don't) or summon a Zwei and flash a Spell card from my hand to have it treated as a regular Cyber Dragon, and then I can summon CFD using all monsters on the field including my opponents' as material. So in one swift move I can clear my opponents' field of monsters and launch a direct attack that harshly cripples my opponent, or possibly defeats them if they are already crippled. It can quite literally turn a battle right around on its heels dead-stop.

Besides that, the rest of the deck does pretty decent holding its own too. It's worth noting too that this is a 40 card deck, which as anyone who has built a deck should know isn't always the easiest to keep things trimmed down to. :P

Case in point, my deck I'm working on is only 34 cards (of which I only have 26). I haven't yet gotten around to looking through all 3000 or so legal cards that exist, so if any of you can think of something off the top of your head please do suggest it. There's also a few cards that are less synergy and more "i have this and it makes rasca hit things better" so alternatives for those would be nice too.

Monsters:
Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca x1
Earthbound Immortal Aslla piscu x1
Mystic Tomato x1
Des Kangaroo x3
Des Wombat x3 (have 1)
Des Koala x3 (have 1)

Raregold Armor x1
Mountain x1
Riryoku x1
Monster Gate x1
Seal of Orichalcos x1 (have 0)
Savage Colosseum x1 (have 0)

Traps:
Roar of the Earthbound x1
Tower of Babel x1
Negate Attack x1
Enchanted Javelin x1
Embodiment of Apophis x1
The First Monarch x1 (have 0)

Extra Deck: 1
Master of Oz x1

Just off the top of my head from my own deck, a few spells and traps that might be useful;

Burden of the Mighty
IIRC it reduces the atk of your opponents' monsters by 100 per level. Not at all a bad card for crippling an opponent and taking out monsters that would normally be just a little bit stronger than your own.

Pot of Avarice
Good recycling and drawing card; return five monsters from your graveyard to your deck and then draw two cards. The only real drawback is that you need five monsters in your graveyard to use it.

Spell/Trap Negation/Destruction
Just something like a Mystical Space Typhoon, Dust Tornado, or Dark Bribe is never a bad thing to have on hand.

Attack Blocking/Negation/Reversal
Negate Attack is fine, but if you can find something better I'd suggest you throw it in either in addition to or in place of it. Good ol' Mirror Force, or Dimensional Prison, or something like that with an added kick to it can upgrade you from just buying time to possibly getting yourself a foothold. Your Roar of the Earthbound sort-of does this, but relies on you having an Earthbound out. Swords of Revealing Light is also a good classic to fall back on if you need something that stalls for a bit longer.

IDK, those are just general suggestions since I don't recall enough of those cards off-hand to really come up with anything specific to your deck.

I had an entire frog based deck once. It was based around Des frog and the fusion of the 3. I had max T.A.D.P.O.L.E.S. in my deck to get my special summoning going for quick summon. If I can find it I'll post the card list.

Burden of the Mighty seems a bit too niche, personally. It's nice but my primary goal is to field an Earthbound Immortal with Raregold equipped, and even if it is likely to wind up being Rasca with 100ATK, at that point enemy attack doesn't really matter.

I do have a Pot of Avarice, and it looks good. I can only assume the reason I didn't already have it was bias regarding "if it isn't pot of greed what is even the point" mixed with not taking notice of it because of how general its effect is as opposed to the rest of my deck that is more focused towards Rasca/Aslla and/or Oz.

True, I am lacking on that front. I will have to look through both card lists and what I own, I am sure I have a MST but otherwise I can't remember.

I definitely did have some more attack negation things, like Mirror Force and Draining Shield. Not sure why I opted to put Negate Attack in instead? What I have now I put together like two and a half years ago and have been sitting on ever since.

EDIT: Pot of Avarice is banned, actually, so I guess that's out.
