LOGI Info: Impalaroo are gentle herbivores that live in grasslands, scrublands, prairies and dry forests. They are social animals, and live in herds of up to 300 individuals. They both graze and browse, eating grass, bushes, herbs, roots and the lower leaves and fruit from trees.
Impalaroo are eaten by nearly every carnivore on Genome Island. Their main defense is their speed and jumping ability. They can run at speeds of up to 90 kilometers per hour for short distances, and at speeds of 70 kilometers per hour over longer distances. They can also jump 10 metres across and up to 3 metres straight up. If a predator is too fast for them to escape, they can jump into a tree to get away from it. They also have sharp horns and hooves, as well as slightly blunt claws, which they can use to defend themselves at close range.
While grazing or browsing, a small group of Impalaroo will perform lookout duty. They stand at the edge of the herd, keeping an eye out for danger while the others eat. If they spot a threat, they will create a loud popping noise with their nose pouches, and the entire herd will flee. Unfortunately for them, Impalaroo aren’t very intelligent, and will often be spooked into fleeing by something that isn’t dangerous at all, such as another herbivore or a sudden loud noise. Their low intelligence means that they are also rather easy to trick or trap, and often run from one threat right into another. To make up for their low intelligence, they have very sharp senses, making them difficult to sneak up on.
Due to the fact that many Impalaroo are killed by predators every year, they reproduce very quickly. A female can give birth to as many as ten calves a year, due to their short gestation period.

I'm sure that there is going to be some hybridisation between the two forms: a new beast, slouching towards us. I'm eagerly looking forward to meeting the beautiful mutant.
