Two of the tentacles are large, flattened and bristly. They are used for feeding. The rest are used for defence. Its foot looks a bit like a kelp’s holdfast and is used for hopping. Its shell is patterned with light and dark bands. The light bands can glow in different colours.

LOGI Info: Bliiri live on the seabeds of shallow, temperate seas, and prefer sandy seabeds, but are sometime found on rocky ones. They move by hopping and feed using a large, bristly pair of tentacles. During rough weather, they anchor themselves by their feet to rocks so as not to be swept away. When two Bliiri encounter each other, they will light up the bands on their shells to communicate. These encounters rarely lead to violence, as Bliiri are peaceful creatures. If a Bliiren is attacked by a predator, it will first wave its tentacles and light up its shell to intimidate the attacker. If this fails, it will retract its eyestalks, tentacles and foot into its shell, and close over the openings with its opercula. The opercula are extremely hard and slippery, so it is hard for predators to break through them. However, the hinges with which they attach to the shell are weak, and damaging these hinges will make it easy to pull off the opercula. Some intelligent predators are able to take advantage of this. As a Bliiren dies, it releases brightly coloured ink into the water around it.
Bliiri are farmed by the Limosusapiens, who use them in sacrificial religious rituals and sometimes as food. They also use their opercula as currency.

Other: IT’S AN OCTOPOT.

I'm sure that there is going to be some hybridisation between the two forms: a new beast, slouching towards us. I'm eagerly looking forward to meeting the beautiful mutant.
