Name (of creature): Sabeiji Shirubatsuri Height: 85-130' Width: 6-9' Weight: a lot(probably a few hundred tonnes) Base DNA: Redwood, Sequoia, Black Mangrove Abilities: Ridiculously deep roots dig down over a thousand feet and absorb metals and other heavy minerals. Weaknesses: Collapses on itself when it does not absorb enough metals Defenses: Metal flesh. Special Attributes: Ability to absorb metal and heavy minerals. Description: An extremely large tree with extremely tough bark reinforced by metals. When the tree dies of old age its flesh decomposes and leaves a large vertical column of metal enhanced by the tree itself. This is known as "livingmetal" and the Shirubatsuri can repair it while living. This tree has pine needles and as such is not very kind to small mammals that live in trees. LOGI Info: This tree can only grow to full height and survive in mineral rich areas such as the Sabeiji forest. It's only known predator is a wolf-like creature that uses the metals inside to it's advantage. Other: N/A |

So two things I'm seeing. First would be the metal absorption. I can understand the principle behind it and it makes sense, but I'd also like GD and Tys' opinions on it. The second thing would be the "livingmetal". While the tree is alive it makes sense that the metal could be healed/replaced as the tree is still absorbing minerals. But once the tree is dead, how does the metal still heal itself? |

Y'know, I thought I was missing something... Maybe inside the tree there is a microorganism that is what actually allows the metals to combine and crate a new compound. From there, maybe something along the lines of an adult form of the organism that uses the metal as protection, and thus needs to protect the metal. Perhaps this organism creates heat and slowly melds small rifts between in the metal but not when it is completely shattered. If this is not ok I can always scrap this and work from the start or maybe I should pay 100 credits to make said microorganism. Thanks for the input! |

Sorry, I forgot about this. Nobody said anything about your explaination for the Livingmetal, so I assume it's fine (And it makes sense to me), in which case I'll go ahead and approve it. As a side note, I imagine that this would be an excellent food source for Atsalisaurus. |
