Name (of creature): Aitotelios asynithis (Unusual perfect seeker) AKA: Seeker Worm Height: 0.8 feet (24 cm) Length: 8 feet (2.4 meters) Weight: 110 lb (50 kg) Number in pack: 4 Base DNA: Sperm Whale, Driver Ant, Turkey Vulture, Earthworm, Spinosaurus, Rattlesnake, Anaconda, Snail, Elephant Abilities: Echolocation. Heat Vision. Amazing sense of smell. Great hearing. Great swimmer. Can hold it's breath for an hour. Amazing memory, it usually takes years for them to forget even a small detail. Very intelligent. Powerful bite. Can lower it's sail. Despite not having arms, it is pretty good at digging. Can fire acid out of it's nostrils. This acid tends not to actually burn through substances, but rather weaken them. It has antenna to further increase it's ability to navigate. Can constrict with a force rivaling that of an Anaconda. Weaknesses: Technically blind should be here, but I feel like it's alternate ways of vision make that completely irrelevant. It's belly is rather soft. Rather limited arsenal. While pretty quick for a limbless animal, it can't go faster than 13 mph. Can't dig through rock. Defenses: Exoskeleton. Small, but sharp spines on it's flanks. Powerful bite. Special Attributes: It's senses enable it to locate any opponent. Can fire acid out of it's nostrils. Highly adaptable, it can survive in almost all but the most extreme environments. It can move the spines on it's flanks, either of intimidation or help it get a grip. It can dig at rapid speeds. Produces slime like a snail, not only allowing it to scale up vertical surfaces and hang upside-down, but also to protect it's vulnerable belly from the environment. Communicates with sound frequencies very few other creatures can hear, allowing them to communicate over great distances without their prey even knowing they are anywhere near. It is in fact sapient. Description: A bulky, armored Earthworm with many small spines on it's flanks. It has a small sail on it's tail and a head resembling a Driver Ant's. LOGI Info: "Wait. Are you serious? Come on. This has got to be a joke. Seriously? We are ACTUALLY going to record this episode?! This is a prank, right? No? Well. This is a surprise. So, umm, yeah. Seeker Worm. As the name implies, it is good at seeking things. It's got a great sense of smell and hearing, as well as echolocation plus heat vision. There's very little you can do to hide from this thing. You could try hiding you'r body heat, but then it still has approximately five thousand different ways of knowing exactly where you are (Slight exaggeration). If you're not scared of a human sized worm that will find you no matter which closet you hide in, how about I tell you about a couple more things this thing can do. Lets see, it can spit acid, dig underground at impressive speeds, it's very intelligent, oh, and did I mention that it hunts in packs of generally at least four members? Sure you don't want to invest in a bunker?" "In the wild, these worms can be found almost anywhere except for on the top of Mount Everest, the bottom of the Mariana trench and the middle of the Sahara desert. Though they are usually found in grasslands of any kind, where they travel both under and above ground, hunting small to medium sized creatures. The packs often make an underground home for themselves, consisting out of several large chambers and a single tunnel connecting it to the surface. Usually there's one chamber for every pack member, plus a a chamber for food storage, a nursery, a bathroom and a sort of living room, where the Worms spend most of their day when not out hunting or collecting leaves, rocks and bones to decorate their home. If a member of the pack dies, they will attempt to recover the corpse if possible and drag it to the deceased member's room and seal the body in there by blocking the entrance to the room with a rock. Be careful if you ever kill a Seeker Worm, because they do practice revenge, and if they know you killed their companion, they will hunt you down." "When hunting, they prefer to target terrestrial prey, which they often incapacitate either by coming up below it and pulling it underground, or by surrounding it and overwhelming it with sheer numbers. In a fight, they like to take a similar approach against a singular opponent. Against another pack they will usually attempt to diminish the enemy numbers as swiftly as possible by having several worms gang up on a single enemy, though they will usually only do this if they have an equal amount of member in their pack or more. In all cases they will usually use their digging abilities to their advantage, staying out of harms way while leaving their opponents to make simple guesses as to where the worms are. Though notice that with all the descriptions I said "usually". Seeker Worms are highly adaptable and will strategize with each other even during the heat of battle." "Now lets talk about something else, like the fact that Seeker Worms can actually be a help to our own society, instead of destroying it. They can be tamed and trained to do all kinds of things. They can be used to track criminals, people who have gone missing and all kinds of other things just like a bloodhound, except better. They also make for great pets (Trust me. I have one. But then again, I also own a Specimen 426 and a Cyprectus, so my advice on pets isn't necessarily the best). They are affectionate, playful and not difficult to take care of. Plus, anyone who tries to break into your house will be pretty terrified when they see a giant worm slithering towards them on the ceiling. So if you're tired of playing fetch with a dog, you can now play fetch with a worm!" "So, that's all for todays episode of The Creatures of Genome! Join us next time for something slightly less sweet then a Seeker Worm!"~David Gordon Other: FINALLY!!! It's here! Oh, gosh, that took WAY to long. You know, fun fact, I was actually considering pushing it back even further to post what will be my next creature first. Also, I believe this is the first sapient creature that doesn't have those things called arms or, you know, bones.

In abilities you listed intelligent twice, not sure if that was intentional. Also, where does it get that intellect, exactly? I know elephants are really smart, and Sperm Whales have the largest brain on the planet iirc, but neither of them are exactly sapient. Other than that bretty good, I like it. |

That first one's an oversight. I'll fix that. The second thing is actually because the government is keeping the secret that Earthworms are in fact sapient. Computers, the internet, space stations, all of those where invented by Earthworms. They simply gave us the designs because they don't have hands to make those things. I suppose they also need hands and vocal chords to draw the blueprints or to tell us how to make it, but well, the second thing the government is covering up is that they are also magical. But seriously, I think that having the DNA of 2 of the smartest animals on earth is enough to genetically alter the creature into gaining sapience. |

Indeed. Elephants are extremely smart. I'm not sure if I want to near one of these things with a ten foot pole though. |

It seems Ty and DF are out so I actually have to do some mod work... It seems fine to me, 1800 creds for a Class E pack. Only thing I can think of is the bit on Seeker Worms inventing computers and all that might not be considered canon. Though it does seems strange that Seeker Worms, which are sapient fill the same role for people as a dog. |

Creds where already paid. I had 2650, so that minus 800 for it being a small creature and then minus another 1800 for a class E pack. Also the Earthworms invented all the advanced tech, not the Seekers.
