Name (of creature): Stonewrecker (Desertocustos tyrannus, Tyrant Desert Guardian) Height: 24 feet Length: 64 feet Wingspan: 70 feet Weight: 32 tons Base DNA: Flying Fox, Nile Crocodile, Pachyrhinosaurus, Pentaceratops, Gastonia, Tarbosaurus, Dromedary Camel, African Elephant, American Bison, Charonosaurus, Abilities: Great strength. Wings can be used for intimidation or to stir up strong winds. Can manage a fast -albeit reckless- charge. Can stab with its horns and slice things with it Gastonia and tail plates. Weaknesses: Blurry vision; they can make out shapes but not details. Though their movements are agile, they are generally slow in locomotion. They can attain a good running speed but only once they pick up momentum, at which point they can only make sweeping turns and need room to slow back down to a manageable speed. They tend to be very territorial and aggressive towards other large creatures, which can be an issue as it clouds their judgment and they won't back down even when they should. Defenses: Reinforced frill, horns, and skeleton. Gastonia and Crocodilian armor in addition to thick skin. More-or-less fire-proof. "Ear-lids". Special Attributes: Stonewreckers have extra muscle relating to their head, neck, shoulders, legs, and tail. Because of this added muscle and their reinforced skeleton they are capable of great strength and leveraging themselves against things pushing against them - or for them to push against other things. Their frill and horns are reinforced like their skeleton. This, combined with their strength makes them very adept at pushing, flipping, and tossing things with their heads. The added tail muscles also make the armor spikes at the end a very, very dangerous weapon. Stonewreckers are also capable of producing nearly ear-splitting screams that can be heard for miles. To protect themselves from their own noise they have a mechanism like crocodiles that allow them to close their ears, in turn muffling the sound greatly. They close their ears by precaution whenever another of their kind is close by, and involuntarily whenever they hear a loud noise or use their scream. To make up for their sub-par eyesight they have an incredible sense of smell. Description: It's general body, legs, and neck are those of a Tarbosaurus. Its front legs are those of a Charonosaurus, but it also has a pair of bat wings. It's head and nasal boss is that of a Pachyrhinosaurus, with a Pentaceratops frill and enlarged brow horns. It also has a pair of short tusks. Its back (including the back of its neck) is covered in Gastonia armor, as is its head in addition to the ceratopsian features. Its tail is also that of a Gastonia, but two of the plates near the end are enlarged for offense. At its shoulders it has an enlarged hump a muscle, similar to a Bison. Running down the length of its spine are raised pieces or armor creating a small sort of "pseudo-sail" It's sides and limbs are covered in crocodilian armor, and its underside is comparable to a crocodiles'. LOGI Info: Stonewreckers roam in desert to scrubland biomes where they feed on plant matter and maintain reasonably large territories that they adamantly defend against other large creatures. The exact size of a given territory usually has to do with how bountiful the land is; A Stonewrecker in a desert will likely have a bigger territory than a shrubland-dwelling specimen would. Usually Stonewreckers will avoid each other and their territories, communicating their presence with their screaming calls. The only exception is in the mating season, but even then encounters tend to be brief. The typically larger female will challenge potential mates to a test of strength to determine their quality, and if found sufficient, both parties will then part after the deed is done. A suitor found insufficient will be violently run off. Primarily, Stonewreckers are bipedal, but will go to all fours when resting or for a sturdier stance. Despite the wings they are flightless, being too heavy-built to ever get airborne. Instead the wings are used for a number of other things such as display, protection from the elements, and to create winds that can simply blow away smaller creatures. Perhaps most importantly however, they help keep the Stonewrecker cool in the hotter climates it inhabits. In addition to being giant fans for all intent, they help cool off the animals' blood under the same principals as the large ears of an African Elephant. In combat Stonewreckers are fairly straightforward. They use brute force, sharps horns, and sharp plates to smash and slice foes into a bloody, broken mess. Other: So here we go. Replacement for Dragotops and a slight call-back to one of my old monsters all in the form of my Genomian spin on a Diablos. I feel like I'm forgetting something but I can't think of or see anything missing. :\ (Picture by ChocolateSawfish) |

You know why I'm here. 14 tons is severely underweight for any Tyrannosaurian creature of this length. 32 tons is better. |

Stonewrecker is absolutely freaking wonderful. Therefore, Fanart. Drawing the head was fun. What diet does it have, incidentally? I'd imagine that it's a herbivore, having a ceratopsian head, but it does seem very aggressive for a plant-eating creature. |

@Cool: Think it's a worthy opponent for Tank? I suppose we will soon see. @CS: That is awesome. The tusks are a little on the small side but that's all I can complain about. Especially since a picture means I don't need to wait for Cool's drawing to approve it. Still going to leave it in the lab for a little bit though just to be sure I got everything. Speaking of which, yes, it is an herbivore. I'll add a bit about that so it's clear. @DG: Sounds like a |
