So I got the Lego game last night when it was on the encore sale, and so far it's been good. At least, until I got to the power shed boss fight with the raptor. It will attack or get hit twice, but then it just disappears completely. :fistshake:

I was actually just playing it now, lol. Yeah, it's pretty awesome, since basically you're playing through all four movies. Oh, and you can play as dinosaurs at certain points, which is rather epic.

Only problem with it is that, at least with the PC version, it can be a bit buggy at a number of spots. From what I've read though (and tested myself tonight, finally getting past the bug I mentioned in my last post that had me stuck) most of the bugs actually can be solved by going into Options and setting all of the Effects to Low or Off. No clue exactly why, but that did the trick at least for me.

At this point I've just got the JP3 levels left, and probably a re-do of the Jurassic World levels since I did them offline and it didn't give me the Steam achievements for them. Well, that plus all of the character unlocking and such that is standard for a Lego game.

Speaking of which, don't Lego games just teach us the most wonderful things? Like how when someone is being attacked by a dinosaur, the best thing to do is ignore them while you go around destroying everything in sight for fun and profit? Well, really, that's what you should always do in any situation. :P

I beat JW and got to the power reboot area on JP, but I ended up getting a glitch where not all the peaces of the primer pump fall off that can only be solved by playing in DirectX9, which for some reason corrupts saves if you played them in DirectX11 previously.

So since we're long past the spoiler range, time for me to make my few comments on a few of the more, ah, notable scenes.

The Pterosaurs:
Overall a very silly scene, and I have no excuse for it. They got spooked out of the aviary. They went for the biggest concentration of prey they could find, that's fine. Almost. If they were that darn hungry, one has to wonder why the Pteras weren't already eating the Dimorphodons if not each other.

Indominus and the Raptors:
This one I actually will be defending/justifying somewhat. Even if in reality the Indominus turning the Raptors would be a bit silly, in-universe at least there is some (if perhaps not the best) precedent for it. Remember the Raptor call from JP3? If Alan Grant could do it...

The Final Showdown:
So Blue and Rexy working together... actually not that unbelievable. They had a much bigger threat than each other to worry about. But once they were done? Still semi-justified. Even if they won, both of them did get their arses kicked and as they aren't blood-thirsty monsters had no reason to waste energy with another fight.

Indominus, Overall:
Unless I forgot something, the fact that Wu intentionally designed it to be a killing machine goes to explain and justify a lot of what it did.

So there are my thoughts, aside from the previous gushing because hotdarnthatwasfreakingAWESOME!

I forget which one, but apparently a lot of people think one of the other ones survived. Not the one that was grilled or the one that blew up, but the one that just got chucked offscreen. The one that wasn't Blue, that is.

I thought the same while watching it. It's also something I have to believe, because it's too depressing to think that Blue is all alone now. Let's be real here, was anyone actually invested in the human characters in this movie? or any movie for that matter

That pic sums up the reason why, when writers want to display a villain's truly despicable personality, they have them kill a puppy. No one touches the puppies.

I can't immediately think of other movies for examples, but in Jurassic World the dinosaurs seem to me like they have way more in-depth personalities than the humans. I also love mute or practically mute characters — think Wall-E. You really start paying attention to who they are rather than just their jokes/dialogue that, in lesser films or plot-driven ones, is basically interchangeable between characters. And I just really love Wall-E.
