Name (of creature): Brontotitan teratodes (Monstrous thunder titan) Height: 5 meters (16 feet) Length: 18 meters (60 feet) Weight: 17 tons Habitat: Hot desert, hot semi-desert, desert scrubland Primary diet: Large herbivores/omnivores. Occasionally medium and small creatures as well. Base DNA: Torvosaurus, American Bison, Deinosuchus, Komodo Dragon, Electric Catfish, Emperor Scorpion, Rubber tree, Dromedary Camel, Firefly Abilities: Monstrously powerful bite of 22 tons. Powerful, whip-like tail, while not adept at causing grievous wounds (Shallow cuts at the most assuming it’s opponent is of similar size), causes an immense amount of pain when struck by it, enough to make pain resistant monsters scream. Powerful arms can grasp and crush with a force of 6 tons. The arms can lift a weight of 4 tons each. The neck can lift an additional 3 tons (11 tons combined). Its monstrously built legs give it good stability and allow it to run 22 mph. Weaknesses: Its electric blasts require a lot of energy and can only be used once every 6 minutes. And even then, if it creates another blast as soon as it has the energy to do so, it could easily end up fainting from exhaustion. If it falls, it can break some bones. Not counting its tail, it can only inflict crushing and puncturing damage. Even counting the tail, its slashing damage is minimal and not reliably inflicted, so it has trouble killing creatures with a large size advantage over it. Not very agile. Defenses: Very tough scales, more like armor then actual scales. Thick, rubbery skin. Sheer bulk. Weaponry. Special Attributes: Can generate a massive blast of 50.000 watts of electricity. Its bite is venomous. Within 5 minutes, of infection, partial paralysis occurs. After 15 minutes, the victim is fully paralysed. A healthy creature will usually recover from the paralysis an hour after infection. However, weakened creatures will often have the paralysis spread to their heart, killing them 30-40 minutes after the initial infection.. Rubbery skin makes it almost immune to fire and electricity. It has a transparent eyelid to protect its eyes from things such as smoke and sand. Its roars sound fairly similar to thunder. As most creatures fear thunder and lightning, this makes its roars extra intimidating to most creatures. Their yellow scales can emit flashes of light. Description: Brontotitan looks like a very muscular Tovosaurus with Bison-like ridges on its back and neck. It has the claws on an Emperor Scorpion and a sauropod-like tail. LOGI Info: “Behold, the thunder! Gaze upon it in all its glory! It is Brontotitan!” “Brontotitan roam hot, arid environments, where, due to a lack of many similarly sized predators, they tend to be apex predators. They prey mostly of creatures of similar size, although they will sometimes also eat smaller creatures. They are solitary, only coming together for mating purposes. The mating season is short, starting around mid november and ending around the end of december. The couple will stay together for a while after mating, taking turns to guard the nest of two to five eggs while the other rests or hunts. However, as soon as the eggs hatch, the male will leave. The female is then left to raise the young on her own. Fortunately for her, the young are born capable of taking at least some care of themselves, and usually are capable of scoring their own kills (Albeit only small ones) after a couple of weeks. After ten years, when the young become around a ton in weight and are around twenty-five feet long, the mother leaves them. The young will usually stay together for several more years until they finally go their own way.” “Brontotitan are very territorial. Any creature entering their territory without permission in greeted with a thunderous roar followed by a pair of monstrous jaws clamping down on their neck. Fortunately, they are fairly noisy, and will often roar for seemingly no reason, unless they are engaging in actions that require stealth, such as hunting. This makes usually makes it fairly easy to notice when one is nearing their territory. Additionally, they will also often create flashes of light to warn nearby predators to stay away. If the predator comes closer, they will begin following up these flashes with a roar, making it appear as though there is lightning nearby.” “In battle, Brontotitan are ferocious opponents. Their strikes are swift and precise, yet powerful at the same time. They are careful fighters, primarily focusing on incapacitating their opponents before killing them. Fortunately for them, they are well equipped for this. With monstrous power and a paralysing venom, a few well aimed blows are usually enough to put their opponent out of combat. However, they posses other tricks up their non-existent sleeves. First is their ability to exploit other creature’s fears of lightning. A flash of light followed by a thunder-like roar is usually enough to frighten a creature, or at least deter them from attacking. They also posses a weapon whose sheer power means it is usually kept as a last resort. Proportionally, Brontotitan possesses one of the most powerful shocks on the entirety of Genome Island. These shocks are powerful enough to easily stun a similarly sized enemy, sometimes even outright killing it if it is weakened!” “All in all, Brontotitan is a beast which demands respect. It packs a lot of destructive force, and if those don’t do the trick, it has an arsenal of tricks to back itself up. They are thunder personified.” Other: I made a living thunderstorm!

Only thing I've noticed so far that I'd make note of is the weakness regarding it electric-blast. On one point, it "uses a lot of energy" but only takes two minutes to recharge, which seems a bit contradictive. If it just used so much energy I can't see it only taking two minutes to recover. I mean, maybe it can fire off another blast in two minutes, sure, but I don't see it being at full power, or Brontotitan being fully recovered. Bottom line is, if it's expending that sort of energy it's going to be tired (and when I say tired, I mean that it's going to want to go sleep for a while afterwards with a good meal on the side) and it's not going to be firing a second full-power blast that soon after. The second point I'd make is that even regardless of what I just said, two minutes isn't much of a cool-down time no matter how you look at it. |
