So, Sigma, how goes that little fun project at the volcano you're working on for our next weekend group activity? :P

The bare bones are there, I had to stop the vertical because it was starting to get close to the top of the world and wanted to make sure we had room to jump. I just need to build laterally now. I'm also stopping because I couldn't find Svarog to help with stone collection, but I have successfully "Amish hunted" a potential Doedi that maybe won't despawn until I can get on tomorrow. Until then she's being guarded by Artemis (and Serqet if I manage to get on in the morning to drop her off, really just depends if the Doedi's still there).

Also, my ship is almost complete and is in the North guarded by Orion and Hedetet. I used it to haul some stuff up there, mostly some of the stone buildings I had built previously and some taming supplies, as well as some critters. The only thing I lack on my ship are the ballistas I want to place so I can rain destruction from afar (which is mostly due to the fact I don't have the engrams).

Niiiice. I think we're gonna have one heck of a fun time just dropping into the middle of the island with minimal supplies/gear/maybe naked. XD

And yes, I saw your screenshot of the Doei. You win the internet for use of Amish Hunting/calling it such.

I apologize for not being able to join in on this epic cliff dive. I was at a Slipknot concert all weekend. However.. this wednesday..

** Re-Themed ARK, with shorter days / longer nights, colder temperature, scary creatures above-ground
** DodoRex & ZombieDodo Army, DodoRex Mask Skin & Achievement
** Placeable "Carveable" Jackolanterns, Gravestones, & Scarecrows
** Bone Dino Costumes
** Tameable Bat & Spider, Ride-able Spider
** Witch Hat Skin for Survivors & Dinos

Fear evolved! Super awesome things, better tame the bats/spiders while we have the chance! lol

I kinda buggered off and was playing other stuff/catching up on reading all weekend since niether of you guys were on much either. In other words, you missed absolutely nothing DM. XD

Fear Evolved looks cool, though I'm rather more interested in the new dossier. Thumbs up that they added another sauropod, thumbs down as to the execution of it. For starters, Diplodocus is a fine dinosaur, though personally I would have gone with Amargasaurus for something with a little different look. This is furthered by the fact that Diplodocus is filling the role of "smaller-sauropod" at 2/3rds the size of the games' Brontosaurus, which is backwards to reality. Again, Amargasaurus seems like it would have been a better option to fill this role, being naturally smaller. As far as abilities go, the dossier basically describes it to be a non-violent Bronto that trades size and platform saddles for better mobility and a three-person saddle. So in a nutshell, its only uses appear to be as an entry-level substitute for tribes unable to yet tame a Bronto, and as a beast of burden for tribes able to tame Brontos but looking for the added mobility or simply an easier tame.

Tl;dr, I am disappointed. T_T

That is perhaps true. Though really, the ONLY issue with it was the inability to tame/ride it.

Alright, so, the Halloween update's out. I know we all want to go kill the Dodorex. So here's some advice.

Read the forums, and don't do it.

Apparently that thing's killing entire armies of dinos. I suggest we either think of a plan to kill one, or we assemble a frickin army of super high level, combat capable dinos.

And by army, we're gonna need a huge frikkin' army. Here's the stats for the thing stolen from the steam forums:

Quote:

666666.5 health,
420 stam,
150 oxy,
3000 food,
500 weight,
210 melee,
1000 movement speed,
1550.5 topor

And that's a level 1. As of this point we're going to need to build defenses and pray it doesn't find our haven. I don't believe any combination of creatures we currently possess will be able to defeat it.

I'm 99% sure they're always level 1. Not that that helps THAT much, but I do think we could probably beat it with all our pets. Not that it would be very practical to bring several dozen pets with you, but, just sayin'.

Haha, I like the new look you gave her. (Carnage is a her, right?)

BTW, do we still have Gansehi(sp?)? I hadn't seen her at base during the quick bit I'd snuck on last weekend, though granted I hadn't exactly looked hard either not knowing what you guys had/hadn't been up to.

@Sig: Operation Trojan Parasaur? Pfft. It is legendary, but we must make our own legend. Remember my old idea, Operation S*** Storm? We just need us some Argents, Phiomia, a LOT of C4, and that Dodorex won't know what hit it. :D

Alright, so I'm finally going to try a SoTF match provided I can get into one.

...I'm going to get wrecked so. freaking. hard. T_T

EDIT: So that sucked. Spent most of an hour trying to get into a server, first of all. Once I finally got into a server I went with DMs' old advice of going for the supply drop. I guess I lagged or something though, because everyone was there before I even got halfway there and I saw no supplies. Ended up getting killed soon after by someone (with what sounded like a spear) before I could get away from the killing field. I mean I expected to do pretty badly, but really?

So, I don't know if you guys have seen the current picture posted by the devs abput the giga. Well..

He's a little ginormous.

I was really hoping the size charts would be wrong, but this thing is legitimately almost the size of a Bronto. I honestly don't know how I feel about a carnivore that size. I know it's supposed to be slow and what not, but that's just stupid big.
