Name (of creature): Morning Teardrop Height: 1 mm Length: 3 inches Weight: practically weightless Base DNA: Pseudocerotid flatworm, dragon, flying fish, firefly squid Abilities: fly Weaknesses: soft, dumb, small, frail Defenses: speed Special Attributes: can fly and swim, breathes through skin, tough radula in center of body allows it to scrape away plant matter, can release a jet of water from an opening on its back-end for a burst of speed. Description: A pale blue Pseudocerotid flatworm with a slightly plump abdomen from a hydrogen sac. It has an opening on its back-end. They have two bioluminescent blue lines on each side of their body. LOGI Info: Morning teardrops are bizarre predators of the Canadian Sap Tree. By day, they spend their days sleeping atop the layer of slime they are too light to slip through, in massive clusters millions strong. At night, however, they rise from the water in equally massive flocks, making the treacherous journey to the canopy of the sap trees they live beneath to feed on their leaves. Just before dawn, they then descend back down to the lake they call home before they dry up in the sun. On the way up and back down, they must avoid the dangerous krakenvines, which easily ensnare their weak bodies. They simply split in two to reproduce, which they usually do every few days. Other: |
