Name:Terramedusa Height:2 meters Length:5 meters with limbs, 2 meters without Weight:200kg Base DNA:Sea urchin, box jellyfish, immortal jellyfish, Man 'O'War, hammerhead worm, tardigrade, salamander, starfish, cone snail, hender's rat, golden eagle, hydra, limpet, inland taipan Abilities:speed, venom, harpoons, armor, regeneration, excellent eyesight, very resilient to any form of harm Weaknesses:harpoons can only fire up to a distance of 10meters, if it sustains more than 75% damage to its body it will immediately attempt to either escape or cocoon itself to rest, due to unique body structure the harpoons cannot be fired upwards, due to weakness gained from Hender's Rat its ridiculous speed and physical abilities due to the Hender's Rat's biochemistry causes it to die if exposed to too much saltwater. The marine creatures in its DNA offset this somewhat from instant death to gradual weakening. Defenses:armor from limpet teeth, regeneration, venom Special Attributes:360 degree vision, has 16 color cones, can move in any direction effortlessly on a horizontal plane, regeneration is on par with that of the hammerhead worm allowing it to heal from almost any wound. This ability also gives it some increased resistance to poisons. During a battle when it is wounded it is capable of rearranging its body structure to protect its most vulnerable organs while allowing it to fight at the maximum effectiveness. Description:http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/specul...=20160711165429 In case the picture goes down, The Terramedusa resembles a conical structure flared wide at the top before coming together smoothly. Five legs stick out from the top and it walks slowly with these legs. To get up to speed, it whirls its body like a top its legs undulating in a wave motion while this happens. The legs can also be used in offense as the tips are composed of the limpet teeth material and continuously sharpen themselves as they scrape against the ground. In between the legs are fleshy pits that resemble oversized nostrils. These pits contain the Terramedusa's five harpoons allowing it to shoot at anything on a horizontal plane. The harpoons are not barbed and are smooth allowing it to penetrate an opponent's skin, inject the venom and be reeled back into the pit in a second. The venom being a composite of the most poisonous snail, the most poisonous animal and the animal with the most stingers is very effective at bringing down larger animals through both quality and quantity of venom. As the venom is injected it will immediately begin to wreak havoc on the nearest cells. The venom consists of haemotoxins, neurotoxins, conotoxins, cytotoxins, myotoxins, nephrotoxins and necrotoxins a ridiculous amount of damage will be inflicted on the victim's internal organs. However, this is a 'smart' venom in that it will not kill its victim straight away but instead targets all extremities that are vital to the victim such as its weapons, degrading toes, which contain claws usually. Jaws which contain teeth usually and in the case of Gattlomonstrum, it will target its eyes and bullet chamber. The bottom of the conical structure terminates in a wide open extendable mouth that is studded with millions of tiny bone slicing teeth. Around this mouth are small manipulatory tentacles to allow for fine manipulation. LOGI Info:An apex predator, it prowls the forest and the open plains equally well, zipping around in a permanent overdrive hunting anything it can bring down with its venom harpoons that shoot out faster than a bullet. Essentially immortal due to its ability of growing younger, its population is kept in check by the titans that walk Genome Incorporated's earth and by rampant cannibalism. Other:It does not like the word 'pterosaur' for some reason and will go into a berserker mode the instant it hears it. |

You should add a more detailed physical description. All creatures need a good description, in case the picture goes down. There have been cases where the creature had no written description, only for the picture to go down, and then no one remembered what it looked like. |

I'd maybe clarify the bit about immortality... mostly because our animals are still generally bound by the basic universal laws and thus can't be immortal. Still nice concept, I like this. |

Immortality as in AGE. They don't die of age they die of everything else. Like the immortal jellyfish. They are biologically immortal not divine immortal. |

That's all I'm saying, is add a qualifier such as that. Also, how does it recover harpoons? Does it reel them back in or regenerate new ones? And what does the venom on the harpoons do, exactly? What are the side effects? ((Sorry, as a battle writer I find that the more information on the creature's form the easier it is to write, and it's less likely that it'll be brought down by some technicality such as running out of harpoons because it had already fired all five of the ones it had stored in it's pits.)) |

^Okay Legalo I'll add that it reels them back in. The venom doesn't really do anything other than cause catastrophic damage to the body seeing as it's a combination of Cone Snail, Box Jelly and Man'O'War. Oh and sea urchin. Maybe I should add something about it. Also here's an article on limpet teeth strength seeing as Terramedusa's skin, teeth and harpoons are made out of them. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-31500883 |

My apologies, I forgot to come give this a look over. All looks pretty decent considering it is your first creature, but perhaps we could get some more detail on it's abilities? In particular, I would like to know in a rough sense the speed at which it regenerates, and also a more exact distance of how far its harpoons can go. Aside from that I have not seen anything else of issue that hasn't already been dealt with. So as soon as that is dealt with, Terramedusa should be ready for approval.

Editing made. The regeneration is on par with the Greek mythology Hydra but only lasts for five minutes before failing and slowing to that of a more natural and slow pace. The harpoons have a range of 10 meters. |

Such regeneration is simply not feasible. Mass has to come from somewhere. If a limb falls off, it cannot regrow in a matter of second, minutes or even hours. It takes days, if not weeks for even the strongest regenerators to injest, process and realocate the mass needed to regrow a major bodypart. To regenerate a a leg or head in the midst of battle, not gonna happen. |

Oh so mythical creature abilities aren't allowed? I'll go change it. Also is the 30 minute requirement of the venoms and poisons here to make sure they don't die too fast? Because from my perspective the amount of toxins present in my Terramedusa's venom should be capable of killing in less time than that. |

Yes, it's to prevent creatures from being given poisons and venoms that pretty much guarantee they win the fight. A creature with a bite that kills in 2 seconds is very unlikely to outright loose, and will usually win or tie. It's definitely a balance thing. |
