Name (of creature): Tree Abalone Height: 3 feet Length: 6 feet Weight: 500 lbs Base DNA: Abalone, Tree snail, Ram's Horn snail Abilities: It's a giant snail that eats trees. It doesn't do much. Weaknesses: Slow, dumb, basically has no sensory abilities Defenses: Shell, size Special Attributes: Breathes through holes on its shell, very strong, eats trees Description: a giant Abalone with slightly raised pyramids along the top of its shell. Each hole is raised significantly, and looks like a small smoke stack Its radula is extremely long and extends the entire length of its body and then some (it can't be fully retracted) LOGI Info: Tree Abalone are one of the most peaceful and "normal" animals of the slime swamps. They are simple grazers who sit for most of their life in one spot and bore into the side of a sap tree. Once their hyper-elongated radula can't reach any farther, they reel it in as much as possible and slowly make their way up the tree in a straight line until they feel comfortable and continue eating. Because of their size and shell, nothing in the environment preys on them as adults. They reproduce asexually with themselves, usually leaving an egg sac inside the bore-hole they are leaving once they are ready to move on. The young exit the bore hole and migrate to the nearest Krakenvine, where they feed on its base until it falls off, or they are large enough to feed on the tree without being drowned in sap. Young tree abalone are one of the favored prey items of the Cackleribbon, which finds them an easy meal. Once they reach about two feet across, the Tree abalone becomes too difficult of a prey item for the cackleribbons to attack except in extreme circumstances. Other: ![]() -------------------- |
