Ok so im on a LAPTOP, idk if its connection problems( which it probably isnt because it just randomly started happening 2 weeks ago, got a new modem and router) but i realllllllyyy need help wif dis :/

1) iv tried reinstalling it

2) uninstalling things that mihgt have been the problem when it started

3) opened halo and vent at the same time, when to proccesses and checked if anything was there that wasnt supposed to

So basically, if im in vent and a halo server at the same time, after a minute or 2, i start getting red-x and lag out, and i lose connection for at least 30 seconds, but when i play halo when im not in vent, im perfectly fine.

ANY1 KNOW?

since the problem started when you got a new modem and router it might be because of your new modem/router. not say it is, just saying it might be.

What kind of modem/router do you have?

Type this in ur browser and hit enter. This is the ip used by default by most routers/modems.
192.168.1.1 or try 192.168.0.1. should be under firewall options or network settings but it all depends on your modem/router type.

Trill, i told you I would post here to help you out. However, I rly dont know how to fix your issue. Could still be a modem, router, or cable issue. Even though you got a new router, that new router can still be bad. Have them update your modem to the latest release. I have had net lag before and when they updated my modem, it was fixed. Also I had severe disconnect problem. They rewired my entire cabling to the house. It fixed it. Unplug and replug the cables to the modem and the computer. It maybe just slightly loose.

Try updating your network card drivers. Or try uninstalling them and reinstalling them. It could also be other software issues and might even require a format/reinstall of windows. These are all WAGS (wild ass guesses). Hope one works.

You guys are stupid who are telling him to open ports. If his ports were closed he wouldn't even be able to connect to vent or halo.

Honestly, no clue whats wrong.
